All the luxurious and magnificently fitted accommodation units are the best spaces for a relaxing getaway. From them, guests will be able to admire breath-taking views. They are spacious and luminous and come fully equipped with an inspiring array of comfortable amenities. Even the most demanding visitors will be able to take advantage of the varied and exquisite restaurants and bars that can be found on-site, including seafood and Mediterranean tapas. Among the stunning facilities, visitors will enjoy a refreshing dip at the pool.
Take advantage of recreation opportunities such as an outdoor pool or take in the view from a terrace and a garden. Additional amenities at this hotel include complimentary wireless Internet access, concierge services and wedding services.
Me and my partner came for 10 days for our honeymoon! It was amazing and we were so well cared for.
All staff members are incredibly friendly, helpful, and a pleasure to be around. I’d like to shoutout Kumara and his team at the pool bar who went over and above to make sure we were well fed and hydrated with soft and alcoholic drinks. Prasad at the tropic bar who always greeted us with a hug and made our evening drinks. Samith who cleaned our room and made the most beautiful towel decorations. And finally Renuka at the restaurant who always remembered our names, where we’d like to sit, and made our last evening extra special.
The hotel itself has an amazing pool, a beach on its doorstep which has local turtles and baby sharks, and it has great access to Hikkaduwa and Galle. The food and drinks selection was excellent, and the buffet in the evening was surprisingly good.
We did go slightly early in the season so it did feel fairly quiet, however that was perfect for what we wanted!
The rooms do need upgrading a little to make them feel more modern, but they were always very clean so no issues there.
We did have a wonderful honeymoon and the hotel staff have truly made it extra luxurious. So a big thank you from Paige & Dec.

We had a really nice stay at Hikka Tranz by Cinnamon. The ocean view was beautiful, and the clean beach right in front of the hotel was a highlight. We were lucky enough to see turtles and even some baby sharks near the shore.
Our room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, with all the basic amenities we needed. The buffet had a good variety even though we stayed during a weekday, with plenty of meat and seafood options. We especially enjoyed the prawns, cuttlefish, and desserts.
The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Overall, it was a relaxing beach getaway with good food, a lovely view, and a great location in Hikkaduwa. Would happily visit again.

Bearing in mind this was our longest stay at a hotel in Sri Lanka after travelling the country for 10 days we had high hopes our other hotels had been 5 star. Sadly the hotel was tired, needed some major updating particularly in the bedrooms which we found was dirty( fridge and bathroom) this was old dirt that wasn’t in need of cleaning ( the cleaner assigned to our room was great) but the tiling was broken, the floor cracked , the mirror was old , the air conditioning was old and caused water deposits meaning we also had to have a dehumidifier in the room. Some of the towels were stained, and bed sheets too. The restaurant personnel were great , especially the older gentleman server. The food was ok and we were able to find food we ate but a lot of the food was of a low temperature, or bland especially the desserts they looked amazing but tasted less so. The pool area was good, the pool guy / towels were great. The constant attack by chipmunks and crows was annoying . The beach was good but the sea was rough so not swim able during our stay. A turtle was at the beach though which was nice but the local there feeding them goes against the ecological interests of the animals. The need to wear very unsticky wristbands was annoying as we had to get new ones every day as they came off in the shower/pool. Maybe these need to be harder wearing especially for those who had a longer stay. The outside area of the room was unused as it directly overlooked the one below, so not very private, also the area was quickly wet due to the weather. The sofa and cushions in the room were stained and obviously not clean so this needs addressing. The staff were very pleasant none of this is their fault but the hotel needs some investment to bring it up to the star rating it should be, as currently it’s a 3 star not a 5 star.
