Hotel Riu Sri Lanka

Every thing was good but the there was thin fair lady in the morning buffet was very unfriendly and rude. Which made us really uncomfortable. She didn’t even have a smile on her face. We were a family with 6. 3 adults and 3 children. We sat on a table where there were enough space for us to. This lady came towards us and said don’t sit here in a rude way.

Couldn’t fault the hotel, super clean, amazing staff, great food with plenty of options. We had a great 4 days here - would come back

Location of the hotel was excellent we travelled as a family my husband me daughter son-inlaw sister-in-law and brother-in-law to celebrate my husbands 60th birthday Reception from the minute we arrived to leaving nothing was too much trouble,we got the room we requested and we were very happy the room the view and everything about it was fantastic . Entertainment The team worked extremely hard making sure everyone joined in with the activities especially Gehan and we all loved the bingo at 5 o’clock.The evening shows the team put on whether it was on the main stage or the lobby were very good . Pool staff looked after us every day with fresh towels always available.They ensured that all the pools and surrounding areas were all kept spotless to a very high standard of cleanliness they never stopped working. Housekeeping The housekeeping team were always friendly and it was nice to see a different towel display each day.The room and balcony were kept immaculate throughout the stay and anything we need for the room they made sure we got it whether it was waters tea milk nothing was too much trouble for them. Gardeners The gardens for the hotel were well maintained and cared for stunning. Restaurant staff We all loved the steak house and the Asian restaurant were we spent the majority of our of our evening meals .All food was well presented and well cooked the catering staff worked extremely hard throughout the our stay.A special mention must go to Marshal and Chanindha who helped us book the restaurants and looked after us throughout our stay nothing was too much trouble and they ensured we had a excellent experience . Bar staff Again nothing was too much trouble they ensured that we were never left without a drink whether its a cold drink soft drink or hot drink whether it was main stage lobby bar Night club or swim up bar service was always very quick . Overall an excellent hotel were the management should be extremely proud of their staff they were every single one of them were polite well mannered and always smiling .We would definitely recommend this hotel as one of the best Rui hotels we have stayed in the staff just go .above and beyond we look forward to to returning hopefully to this hotel next year
