I can’t get enough of this property. Everything was perfect from start to end. We were celebrating our 10 year wedding anniversary and the team really made it unforgettable. From arranging a really nice room for us, to help my husband surprise me with a surprise dinner to the day to day service. Everyone is expeditional. Big shout to Gregory, Anar, Dino, Vishal, Bram and Latifah!
Very nice located with an easy access to the beach. Convenient Atmosphere at the bar and the restaurant. The stuff is very friendly and helpful. Rooms are nice and very clean. The resort doesn’t have too many rooms, so you will always find a quiet place, at the pool or at the beach. The breakfast is outstanding, regarding the various offers and the quality of the food.
We stayed here twice - the first time for 5 nights and the second time - for 2 nights.
The hotel is located far from everything and there isn't anything worth exploring within a walking distance from it.
First stay: We checked in early at 8:15, after making sure it is acceptable by the hotel (3-4 emails). We used a taxi arranged by the hotel. Upon arriving, we realized the hotel had a MAJOR mix-up, saying we should've arrived last night and they cancelled our reservation due to a "no show". This was, of course, false, and we had the reservation printouts to prove it. It took the hotel way over 2 hours to have us checked in.
We booked a pool view room and they tried to give us a downgraded garden view room, saying "it is much quieter as the weekend brings a lot of day-pass families to the pool". We insisted to receive the room we booked and paid for and after 30 more minutes we were allocated room 315 (on the 2nd floor).
The room was lovely, with 2 queen beds, a nice balcony with pool views, 2 chairs, an armchair, a coffee table, a desk and chair, a TV, a safe and a minibar (which they forgot to fill). There were no closets in the room, nor a Diamond welcome gift.
The bathroom was nice, with a sink, shower with a low water pressure, a toilet with a hose and a mix of two types of bathroom toiletries - the lovely ThankYou and the HORRIBLE charcoal smelling Apotheke products (which made the entire room smell like a bonfire).
Second stay: This time, we checked in at 21:30 after taking a taxi arranged by the hotel, and were allocated room 329, which was literally identical to the previous room. Unlike the first time, they put a small bowl of fruit as a Diamond welcome gift.
The hotel offers a direct access to a lovely beach (watch our for the stingrays!), which closes after sunset and 3 separate pools - a small one for kids, a large one and another small one next to the bar. All pools, without exception, were visibly dirty with sand at the bottom, leaves and floating hairs. Only after contacting the management this was sorted out.
We had all our breakfasts at Avocet, which were average (and infested with countless birds) and also 3 of our dinners, which were OK. I've written a separate review about it.
We also had 2 room service dinners on our balcony during the 2nd stay, which were nice.
We had a single dinner at the Tiger Bite Asian restaurant, which was very nice. I've written a separate review about it, too.
We were also unfortunate to have an below average dinner at Sega Bar (including the worst pizza we've ever had), I've written a separate review about it, as well.
Bottom line - for the hefty price we paid, we found the hotel to be quite underwhelming. It has a great potential but needs a lot of maintenance and training for the staff.
We would like to express our deepest gratitude and appreciation to the entire team at Canopy by Hilton Seychelles for the extraordinary way in which you welcomed us and looked after us throughout our stay. From the very first moment, we felt an incredible attention to detail and a genuine concern for the well-being of your guests. The high standard of cleanliness, the care given to the hotel’s spaces, the professionalism of the service at the bars and restaurants, and, above all, the kindness and delicacy shown in every interaction made all the difference. More than simply an excellent hotel, we found a team that truly knows how to make guests feel special. In every interaction, we could feel a genuine commitment to providing a pleasant, comfortable and memorable experience. We would like to give special recognition to Supervisor Bram (I'm not sure if I spelled the name correctly) who deserves our deepest appreciation. His availability, attentiveness and dedication were truly exceptional. Bram did everything within his power — and often went above and beyond — to ensure our complete satisfaction. His professionalism, combined with his warm and human approach, represents exactly what one hopes to find in someone working in hospitality. We would also like to extend our special thanks to Chef André, for his outstanding professionalism and for the warmth and affection with which he looked after us. The way he “spoiled us” throughout our stay made our dining experiences even more special. Every detail, every thoughtful gesture and every moment at the table contributed to making our meals much more than simply meals — they became genuine culinary experiences. To every member of the Canopy by Hilton Seychelles team, thank you sincerely for your kindness, professionalism, dedication and, above all, for the genuinely human way in which you treated us. Hotels can have beautiful rooms, excellent facilities and a privileged location. But it is the people who truly make the difference — and Canopy by Hilton Seychelles undoubtedly has a team that deserves to be recognised. Congratulations to the entire team for delivering such an exceptional level of service and for giving us a stay that will undoubtedly remain a wonderful memory for us. With our sincere gratitude and appreciation, Ricardo Jorge Silva Castro
