There are many positive things about this hotel: well-organized pickup and transfer to the ferry, beautiful area around the pool, nice breakfast/dining area. We enjoyed the quality and variety of dishes served at breakfast & dinner. The hotel has nice gardens virtually everywhere, except for the bloc of Garden Suite Residences 301-304. This is where we were placed despite the fact that I made advanced direct booking and specifically request a room with nice view from the terrace. However upon arrival we were told that there are no other rooms available. The view we got was overlooking the construction site & smelly river. And at the back of this bloc there is a cemetery where they burned leaves every single day and the smoke was everywhere. My strong advice: don’t book this room category, it’s a waste of money. The room itself is nice and spacious, but you won’t be able to enjoy it because of the smoke and ugly view
Just put some parasols on the room terraces that get direct sunlight in the afternoon; otherwise, everything is perfect.
La Digue is a unique place and this hotel provides a touch of luxury in a convenient location. The rooms are great with an outdoor bathroom and indoor toilet. My only (minor) gripe was there's no washing basin in the toilet and you have to go outside. Plenty of bottled drinking water provided and re-usable bottles to take outside. Restaurants were good but bar service a little patchy. We did love the island and the cycling opportunities which allowed us to explore independently and then return to the beach or poolside to relax.
We had a graet stance at the hotel, one of the best in our life. The breakfast and dinner buffets were excelent. The staff very friendly and always ready to help.
We stopped at the hotel for lunch during a day trip to La Digue Island. We loved the hotel (including the food) so much that we decided to spend a part of our vacation there. And we were right! The place is truly gorgeous. We highly recommend it.
