This elegant resort hotel has a spectacular location overlooking Wolmar Beach near Flic-en-Flac on the western side of the island. The white sand stands out in sharp contrast to the sparkling clear blue waters of the lagoon and the deeper blue of Le Morne Mountain in the background. Built in typical cool airy Mauritian style, the resort stands in beautifully landscaped gardens with thatch roofed open sided restaurant and bar overlooking the large pool and the beach beyond.
The most wonderful holiday! Food was delicious and rooms so comfy!
The Fantastic Resort and Exceptional Staff Made Our Week at Sands Suites Unforgettable
We have just returned from a wonderful week at Sands Suites Resort & Spa, and we can honestly say that it was a fantastic experience from beginning to end.
The resort itself is beautiful, peaceful and in a stunning location, but what really made our stay so special was the people.
From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel genuinely welcome. Every member of staff we met was friendly, professional and, above all, incredibly helpful.
Our room cleaner did a wonderful job and was always so friendly. The restaurant team were exceptional — attentive, warm and always making sure we had everything we needed. The reception and bar teams were equally welcoming and helpful, and we really appreciated the personal service throughout our stay.
A special mention also goes to the spa team, the water sports team, and the fitness and pool team. Everyone was so friendly and enthusiastic, and they all helped make our holiday such an enjoyable and relaxing experience.
What impressed us most was that this wasn’t just one or two members of staff — the warmth and helpfulness seemed to run through the whole resort. Everyone seemed genuinely happy to help and made us feel valued as guests.
We had a fantastic week, enjoyed the beautiful surroundings, the food, the activities and the relaxed atmosphere, but it was the wonderful staff who really made the difference.
A huge thank you to everyone at Sands Suites for looking after us so well and for making our stay so memorable. We leave with some wonderful memories of Mauritius and would love to come back one day.

We spent six days in this paradise. The staff were incredibly pleasant, and the level of service was outstanding. The surroundings are great. When we visited in September, we also had sun every day. We traveled as a family, though we were all adults; young and old alike were equally delighted.
I cannot recommend this hotel enough! It exceeded all of our expectations. Everything from the beautiful interior and stunning surroundings, to the gorgeous beach, unforgettable sunsets, lovely pool area and the food – wow! I could honestly go on and on.
What truly made our stay so special, though, was the staff. They made the whole experience feel so personal. Everyone was incredibly welcoming, always took the time to ask how we were doing, and was there whenever we needed anything. We genuinely felt so well taken care of throughout our entire stay.
A very special thank you to Haider, Teshan, Gino, Sylvester, Logan, Dijin and Allonzo, who all helped make our holiday unforgettable!
Even though the hotel is focused on spa and relaxation, there are also so many activities to enjoy, so there is always something to do if you feel like being active.
We’ve had the most amazing holiday and made so many wonderful memories here. I will definitely be coming back! ❤️
First class hotel for all ages in a fabulous and quiet spot on the beach. Spacious rooms, all overlooking the sea. Neat and clean. Fairly small hotel (about 100 rooms) which gives it an intimate feel. Plenty of outdoor space around the pool and beach. Good choice of food at the buffet for breakfast and dinner. Different theme every night. Additional dining in two separate restaurants offering both a set menu and a la carte. Plenty of daytime activities included. The staff make this hotel the perfect place to stay. Service provided by ALL staff was exceptional. All very professional but friendly with nothing too much trouble. Special shout out to Haiber (pictured) who looked after us so well on the beach and around the pool. Would definitely recommend and we hope to return very soon.
