The Local Area
This elegant resort hotel has a spectacular location overlooking Wolmar Beach near Flic-en-Flac on the western side of the island. The white sand stands out in sharp contrast to the sparkling clear blue waters of the lagoon and the deeper blue of Le Morne Mountain in the background. Built in typical cool airy Mauritian style, the resort stands in beautifully landscaped gardens with thatch roofed open sided restaurant and bar overlooking the large pool and the beach beyond.

Not bad, but not enough value for money. management could be better
The hotel is not bad, but it’s not good enough for the standard it claims and the cost to value ratio is not the best. The rooms are basically all the same, spare yourself the extra pay for so-called beachfront. Breakfast was nice, but dinner was rather disappointing. But the most downturning part was the attitude of some of the staff members - inclusive the general Manager, which seem rather snobbish and not emitting any for hospitality vibes. The only channel in one person I met was the lady at the egg-station at breakfast. I think the general manager is still living 20 years back. Not only in his behaviour towards the guests from a formal side. But also concerning the nickel annd dime attitude throughout. I do not remember that at any time in my life I would have found any five star hotel in which I get two portions of coffee for a weeks stay in the room and the information that any additional portion will be charged for. Same “spirit” did show up when points in the sands loyalty or preferred loyalty program were denied even for incidentals stating that it was no direct booking. This is not unusual for the room rates. But for the directly booked and paid for expenditures like restaurants and Spa - it seems rather awkward. Nicle and dime anyways…
Also, water sport activities could be offered more generously as I did experience it at other hotels on the island at places like the LUX le more or Oberoi. The habit of having rather loud music performances of DJs every evening, even if no one is there at all. - resulting in all the guests getting the noise and none enjoying it - seems a bit awkward. Spot treatments are nice.

Excellent choice! Our best hotel in Mauritius
Excellent choice! Staff is amazing, so is the food. The hotel is located at the extrême south point of the bay so it is quite isolated and much more peaceful than other hôtels nearby. Strongly recommended and very sad that we have to leave!

One thing that impressed us tremendously was the impeccable cleanliness throughout the entire resort. Our room was always spotless, and the housekeeping team came twice a day to make sure everything was perfect. Their attention to detail and dedication made us feel truly pampered throughout our stay.
What made our experience even more extraordinary was the incredible staff. Every member of the team was professional, kind, attentive, and always ready to help with a genuine smile. They went above and beyond to ensure that every moment of our honeymoon was perfect, making us feel welcomed and cared for throughout our entire stay.
