Heritage Awali – Good Stay, but Room for Improvement
Our overall experience at Heritage Awali Resort in Mauritius was good, particularly regarding the accommodation and general services. We also appreciated the management’s positive approach when dealing with comments and problems, and we found them cooperative in trying to resolve issues faced by guests.
Regarding the food, however, we felt that it did not meet our expectations. Of course, this is a personal opinion, and other guests may have a different experience. It is worth mentioning that the resort offers several restaurants and a variety of dining options.
There are also some important points that we believe deserve attention. The swimming pool did not have a lifeguard, and we did not notice clear signs on the beach indicating the level of danger or swimming conditions. This is particularly important for families and children.
The rooms were generally good, although we noticed that the upper floors do not have elevators, which can be quite difficult, especially for children and elderly guests.
Overall, we would say that the resort provides a good accommodation experience, with several positive aspects, although there are areas that could be improved, particularly regarding safety, accessibility, and food quality. We especially appreciated the management’s positive response and willingness to address problems and guest feedback, which is an important part of the overall guest experience.

Wonderful family getaway
Booked a day pass at this hotel to spend some quality time with family while we were already staying at another hotel in the south, and we had a wonderful experience! The setting was beautiful, the atmosphere was relaxing, and the facilities were perfect for a fun and enjoyable day together. The staff were welcoming and attentive, which made the experience even better.
It was a great way to enjoy a little getaway without having to change hotels. We had a fantastic time and would definitely recommend the day pass for anyone looking to spend a memorable day with family!

A truly Amazing stay
I would highly recommend this hotel! From the moment we arrived, the service was exceptional, and all the staff were incredibly friendly, warm, and welcoming.
We had an amazing stay and truly enjoyed our time here. The staff were always pleasant, attentive, and courteous, and they went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. No matter what we asked for, they made every effort to accommodate us with a genuine smile.
It was this level of hospitality and personal attention that made our stay so enjoyable. We would definitely come back again and would have no hesitation recommending this hotel to anyone looking for a wonderful stay with excellent service.

We have just arrived back in Germany, but we will certainly never forget our time at the Heritage Awali.
Delicious food, great drinks, and a beautiful beach (perfect for snorkeling, too). The hotel itself is not only lovely but also full of charm and character. For my wife and me, it is definitely our favorite hotel so far.
You feel at ease immediately, and before long, right at home. And there is a very simple reason for this: the people—whether at the bar, in the fantastic Indian restaurant, on the beach, or simply on the way from the room to the gym. Everywhere you look, there are smiling faces, friendly greetings, kind words, and a palpable desire to make guests happy and ensure they have the best possible time.
That is exactly what makes the difference between a nice vacation and a fantastic one.
Our absolute highlights were the meal in the wine cellar on our wedding anniversary and the surprise menu on our final evening. Thank you so much for these unforgettable memories; we will be talking about them for years to come.
Special thanks go to the sommelier, who was responsible for both highlights and truly moved us to tears on the last night; to our server at the Zafarani restaurant, who charmed us with her personality; and to the bar manager, who—while perhaps slightly overwhelming us with countless unsolicited shots at an early hour—also made us laugh. I could mention so many other people, but that would go beyond the scope of this review.
If we ever travel to Mauritius again, the Heritage Awali is a definite choice, and we recommend it without reservation.
