⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ An amazing stay and the most incredible staff
We recently stayed at the Lux Grand Gaube to celebrate my mum’s 50th birthday with my dad and sibling, and we had the most amazing time. It was such a special occasion for all of us, and the hotel really helped make it a birthday we’ll never forget.
From the moment we arrived, everything was fantastic. The hotel itself is beautiful, the location and views are incredible, the rooms were excellent and there was such a great choice of restaurants and food.
One thing I really want to mention is how incredibly well I was looked after regarding my gluten intolerance.I honestly couldn’t have asked for more from the staff. From the restaurants to the chefs, everyone was so understanding, knowledgeable and careful to make sure I always had plenty of gluten-free options and never felt like I was missing out.
The head chef in particular was fantastic. He went above and beyond to make sure I was catered for safely and even took the time to communicate with me about what I could and couldn’t have. It was such a reassuring feeling knowing that the staff genuinely cared and were taking it seriously rather than it just being an inconvenience.
They even arranged a gluten-free birthday cake for my mum’s 50th birthday, which meant so much because it meant I could enjoy the celebrations with everyone else rather than being left out. It was such a thoughtful touch and something I really appreciated.
The staff throughout the hotel were exceptional. A special thank you to Reedoo and Kumar on the beach, who looked after us so well and always made sure we had everything we needed. They were so friendly and attentive and helped make our time by the beach even more enjoyable.
A huge thank you also to Diran in the main restaurant, who went above and beyond to help us celebrate Mum’s birthday. His kindness and attention to detail really made a difference.
And a special mention to Ricardo at the Creole Smokehouse, who provided fantastic service and helped make our evenings there so enjoyable.
Overall, what really stood out to me was the people. Everyone we met was so welcoming, friendly and genuinely wanted us to have the best possible stay. From the chefs and restaurant staff to the beach team, we felt so well looked after.
It’s a beautiful 5-star hotel in an amazing location, but it’s the staff and the little personal touches that really make it special.
We had the most wonderful time celebrating Mum’s 50th and would absolutely love to return. Thank you to everyone at Lux Grand Gaube for making our family holiday and Mum’s birthday so memorable. 🌴🥂❤️
All I can say is wow! Absolutely amazing location, staff and atmosphere! Food was amazing, the drinks were incredible and overall we have had the most amazing time! Room was well appointed. We simply do not have enough words for our stay it was incredible! All of the staff were absolutely incredible- hard working and so passionate about their job and the country and making sure your stay is simply the best!
We had the most incredible 10 days at the Lux Grand Gaube. The resort itself was stunning, the food incredible but above all the people were the best thing we’ve ever experienced away on holiday. I have a really large list of names for thank yous:
Ramesh - he was absolutely everywhere. Always making sure we were looked after, arranged a private beach dinner for my wife and I when he realised we were there celebrating my 40th Birthday and truly made us feel as though we were the only guests on the resort. Incredible service.
Maira - she ensured every meal time was filled with laughter. Truly made us smile at every opportunity.
Akshay (Beach Rouge) - Always checked and double checked for our specific dietary requirements, ensured we were happy during every meal we had there. Truly felt like he cared about our vacation.
Singh (Palm Court Chef) - Singh was incredible. He found out I liked paneer butter masala and went off menu to create this wonderful dish for me multiple times. He was happy to cater to whatever we fancied and did it with a smile throughout.
Chloe (reception/check in) - super knowledgeable and friendly. Made sure we had all the info we needed.
Creole Smokehouse waiter Mahandra and chef - they created the most incredible Thali for us given my allergies and it was one of the best meals we’ve ever had. They wanted to have us there on more evenings to they could do more for us as well. By no means necessary but went above and beyond for us.
Oliver & Cedric (boat for water ski) - they both made the most comfortable environment for me to learn to water ski. Incredible help throughout and Oliver went so far as to say he was proud of me when I finally nailed being able to do it. Felt like we were with family.
Adelon (Beach Rouge) - Gave me the best rendition of Happy Birthday both in English and French during our beach dinner. Service with a smile.
Nehah - she was brilliant for us on the last day to arrange a late checkout. This was by no means a must but it truly meant that we were able to relax on our final day rather than stress about where our bags were and where we had to shower. This little touch put the cherry on the cake of our already amazing holiday.
I have been back in the UK for a few days and can’t stop talking about our trip. That’s largely down to you all at the Lux Grand Gaube.

From the moment we arrived, Chetan was warm, welcoming, and extremely attentive. He greeted us with a genuine smile and made us feel comfortable and well taken care of. His friendly personality immediately created a positive atmosphere and made our experience even more enjoyable.
What impressed us most was Chetan’s professionalism and attention to detail. He was always attentive to our needs without being intrusive, and he made sure that everything was just right. Whether it was helping us with our choices, answering our questions, checking on us during our time at Café LUX, or simply making sure we were comfortable, he consistently went the extra mile.
Chetan has a wonderful way of making guests feel valued. His service feels genuine rather than simply being part of the job. He was polite, patient, approachable, and always willing to help. His positive attitude and warm smile really stood out and made our visit much more memorable.
The setting at LUX* Grand Gaube is already beautiful and relaxing, and the experience was made even better by having someone like Chetan looking after us. His level of service reflects very positively on the resort and shows the importance of having staff who genuinely care about their guests.
Our experience at Café LUX was particularly enjoyable because of the welcoming service we received from Chetan. He made sure we were comfortable and satisfied throughout, and his attention to detail did not go unnoticed.
