⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 10/10 – We Couldn’t Have Imagined a More Perfect Place for Our Honeymoon ❤️
Sometimes you go on a holiday that is simply wonderful – and sometimes you experience a journey that you know you will remember for the rest of your life.
Our honeymoon at LUX Grand Gaube from July 8th to July 20th, 2026* was definitely one of those unforgettable experiences.
We truly could not have imagined a more perfect place to spend our honeymoon.
From the moment we arrived, we were amazed by the beauty of the resort. The location is absolutely breathtaking, with several beautiful private beach areas, a wonderful tropical atmosphere and so many thoughtful details throughout the entire property.
Everywhere you look, there is another beautiful corner to discover. There are countless amazing photo spots throughout the resort, all designed with so much attention to detail, and we came home with so many wonderful memories and photographs from our time there.
The entire hotel and resort were also exceptionally clean and well maintained. Despite the size of the property, everything always felt cared for and immaculate.
One of the absolute highlights of our stay was the food.
The quality was outstanding, but what impressed us just as much was the incredible variety.
With the different restaurants, cuisines and changing selection of dishes, there was always something new to discover. Even though we stayed for almost two weeks, the food never became repetitive or boring.
You can really tell how much importance is placed on quality, fresh ingredients, presentation and variety.
We genuinely looked forward to every meal – which says a lot after almost two weeks at the same resort! 😄
But as incredible as the hotel, beaches and food were, there is one thing that made our honeymoon truly unforgettable:
The people who work there.
The friendliness, warmth and hospitality of the staff were absolutely exceptional.
Wherever we went, we were greeted with a smile. Whenever we had a question, someone was happy to help. We never felt like we were simply guests staying at a hotel – we genuinely felt welcome.
There are two people in particular whom we absolutely have to mention.
Reedoo ❤️
He took such wonderful care of us during our days at the beach and always made sure we had everything we needed.
Whether it was drinks, food, helping us with something or simply stopping for a friendly conversation, Reedoo was always there with a smile, a positive attitude and an open ear.
His good mood is genuinely contagious.
After a few days, going to the beach almost felt less like simply going to find a sunbed and more like going to see someone you were genuinely happy to meet again.
These are exactly the kinds of people and encounters that turn a great holiday into an unforgettable one.

We first met him when we arrived and he helped us with our luggage, and from the very beginning he was incredibly friendly, welcoming and helpful.
Throughout our entire stay, whenever we had a question or needed help with anything, Gevine was always happy to assist us.
Every time we saw him, we were greeted with a smile.
No matter what we asked, he always took the time to help us and made us feel genuinely welcome.
People like Reedoo and Gevine are what make the difference between a beautiful luxury hotel and a place that stays in your heart long after you have returned home.
A hotel can have an amazing location.
It can have beautiful beaches.
It can serve incredible food.
And it can have a breathtaking resort.
But ultimately, it is the people who determine how you remember a place.
And that is exactly why we will always remember LUX* Grand Gaube with a smile.
The resort itself was already breathtaking, but the people working there somehow managed to make our experience even more extraordinary than the hotel already was.
For us, these were not simply twelve days of vacation.
These were our honeymoon days – memories that we will carry with us for the rest of our lives.
And we are incredibly happy that we chose LUX* Grand Gaube as the place to create those memories.
We left Mauritius with countless beautiful memories, hundreds of photos and, honestly, quite a bit of sadness that we had to leave.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The Best Holiday We've Ever Had!
We have just returned from an incredible stay at LUX* Grand Gaube, and it truly was one of the best holidays we have ever experienced. The resort itself is absolutely stunning, with beautiful grounds, fantastic facilities, and a wonderfully relaxed atmosphere. From start to finish, the level of service was exceptional. Every member of staff was warm, friendly, and genuinely committed to ensuring guests had the best possible experience. Nothing was ever too much trouble. The food was outstanding. Every restaurant delivered top-class cuisine, excellent service, and a great atmosphere. We were consistently impressed by the quality and variety on offer throughout our stay. The spa was another highlight, providing a peaceful sanctuary where we could completely relax and unwind. A special mention must go to Dinesh, the Spa Manager, who was simply exceptional. His professionalism, passion, and personal attention made every visit memorable. He was genuinely one of the highlights of our entire holiday and a real credit to the resort. We would also like to recognise some other fantastic team members who made our stay so special: Ansh and Mevin at the Beach Bar for their amazing service, friendliness, and daily smiles. Freddy, whose service in the restaurants was consistently attentive and professional. Jessica, our housekeeper, who kept our room immaculate and always added those thoughtful touches that made a difference. Ravi, who hosted the rum tasting session. His knowledge, enthusiasm, and engaging presentation made it one of our favourite experiences during our stay. It is the people who make LUX* Grand Gaube so special. The combination of amazing staff, exceptional food, beautiful surroundings, and outstanding facilities created a truly unforgettable holiday. Honeymoon stay
Overall we had a great time. There was a few little niggles that you would expect better from 5* service, but it’s a beautiful hotel and as a rule a majority of the staff are fantastic, so helpful and friendly.
Special mention as well to Reedoo who is mostly in the beach area looking after people. He’s great and works very hard, and goes the extra mile to make sure guests are happy and comfortable.
On the beach - fun and laughter!
Family holidays are a blessing we thrive in. And this trip was not any different but we also got to share in the fun and laughs with Reedoo on the beach. From organizing our daily “red box” to cleaning our sunglasses to arranging and preparing our lounges ! Our daily “gold spray” of water that came with a happy smile and chirp - “close your eyes and make a wish”. There was nothing he could or would not do to help you arrange whatever made our day a little better, a little lighter.

Exceptional hospitality, wonderful people and unforgettable memories
This was our fourth stay at LUX* Grand Gaube, and somehow it keeps getting better. Coming back really feels like coming home.
This time we stayed in one of the adult-only bay suites, while our 18-year-old son and our 15-year-old nephew had a beautiful Superior Room. Both were excellent, and all four of us had a wonderful holiday. What makes this resort so special is that it genuinely offers something for every generation.
One of the first things we noticed this year was the warm and welcoming atmosphere created by the new General Manager, Dhurom Singh. He is highly visible throughout the resort, takes time to speak with guests and leads the team with genuine warmth and professionalism. It is clear that everyone shares the same commitment to making guests feel welcome.
The culinary experience at LUX* Grand Gaube is exceptional. A very special thank you goes to the two Executive Sous Chefs, Deepak and Tesigen Ramen, whose passion, creativity and genuine care can be felt in every detail. They always found delicious solutions for every request, no matter how specific. As someone who has to eat gluten-free, I rarely experience this level of flexibility and attention. The quality, variety and creativity of the gluten-free dishes were outstanding and allowed me to enjoy every meal without compromise. One unforgettable highlight was the highly personalised seafood dinner that Deepak created for us beside the pool. The beautiful setting, incredible food and attention to every detail made it one of the most memorable evenings of our stay. We also enjoyed two wonderful dinners at Bodrum Blue, and the choice of restaurants throughout the resort is simply fantastic.
Breakfast is one of our favourite moments of the day. The live piano music creates such a relaxed atmosphere, and the breakfast team quickly remembered our daily routine. Ashwan and his team, especially Mahandra, always had our favourite table ready, together with water and our preferred drinks before we even had to ask. We also loved visiting Marie and Rouba at the fresh fruit station every morning. Their kindness and warm smiles became part of our daily routine. At the fresh juice and detox bar, Anik prepared wonderful juices with great enthusiasm, always happy to recommend something new.
Another lovely spot is the resort’s coffee bar. Thank you to Tisha and Silvano for the excellent coffee, warm conversations and consistently friendly service.
Dinner each evening was just as enjoyable thanks to Rishi, who looked after us with genuine warmth, professionalism and a great sense of humour. His attentive service made every evening a pleasure.
The beach service deserves its own mention. Redoo and his team, especially Viresh and Cherag, are simply outstanding. Fresh towels, drinks, snacks, sunglasses cleaned without being asked, friendly conversations and always a smile—they quietly make sure everything is perfect without ever being intrusive.
Our suite was beautifully maintained every single day, and we would especially like to thank Manisha and the housekeeping team for their exceptional care and attention to detail.
The watersports team was another highlight. Whether explaining water skiing or helping guests choose activities, everyone was patient, encouraging and always focused on safety.
We also thoroughly enjoyed the cooking class with Veena, who introduced us to Mauritian cuisine in such an enjoyable and practical way that we cannot wait to recreate the recipes at home.
The fitness team, led by Kenny, Manishka and Bobo, also deserves special recognition. The guided power walk outside the resort was a wonderful way to discover the local surroundings, and the team offers a wide range of activities while always adapting to individual fitness levels and preferences.
Evenings at LUX* Grand Gaube have their own special atmosphere. Live music after dinner creates the perfect ending to the day, and the weekly Starry Night with the resident astronomer was both fascinating and surprisingly accessible for guests of all ages.
It is impossible to mention everyone who contributed to making this holiday so memorable, but that is exactly what makes this resort so special. Every single member of the team makes you feel genuinely welcome.
After four visits, LUX* Grand Gaube has become much more than a holiday destination for us. It is a place we always look forward to returning to, and one that truly feels like coming home.
