The Veranda Grand Baie is nestled among the palm trees in tropical gardens. Inside, the lovely Creole style gives it a colourful, friendly feel, with some attractive soft furnishings and distinctive design touches.
The main restaurant offers a unique and interactive dining experience overlooking a turquoise lagoon. Served as a buffet, the dishes offered feature international specialties. If you are looking to celebrate or treat yourself to something a bit different then the beach restaurant offers an exceptional a la carte menu featuring the seafood of our lagoons (at a fee).
There are pleasant views over the gardens from your very own balcony or terrace, and all 95 rooms come with air conditioning, as well as flat screen television, hairdryer, Wi-Fi, tea/coffee making facilities, and mini-bar.
From the hotel it's just a stroll to the soft white sand of the beach. And just a few minutes into the heart of the Grand Baie resort - with its long bay and soft, sandy shore line.
This is a great place to enjoy some exhilarating water action and there are a freat selection of watersports available, including snorkelling, paddle boarding, and pedal boats.. all free of charge! Some watersports do occur a fee, these include scuba diving, fishing, kite surfing and catamaran cruises. Or why not simply relax at one of the beautiful hotel swimming pools? And if it's relaxation you want, you have to visit the spa, sauna and steam room, with its incredible outdoor Jacuzzi.
There's plenty for you to explore in and around Grand Baie and you are within walking distance from restaurants, shops and some excellent night life.

Grand Baai
I had a spacious apartment for my stay. Colonial style buildings set in a lush tropical garden. Lovely beachfront close to town and staff were very obliging, even took me on a boat tour of the bay as main tours were booked out. I was disappointed in the meal choices at the buffet, seemed overcooked and unappealing, and preferred the à la carte restaurant. Breakfast was ok. Small beach for swimming and 2 swimming pools, one large one small. Some lovely nice areas to relax.

An outstandingly intimate gem of a hotel nestled in the heart of Grand Baie! We have been simply mesmerised by the beauty of the resort and the fantastic service at Veranda Grand Baie Hotel and Spa. On arrival at the hotel after a long journey from the UK, we were greeted with warm, welcome smiles and true Mauritian hospitality. Nothing is ever too much trouble; a refreshing face cloth, drinks to cool down and a full rundown of the many activities and entertainment on offer, including Spa treatments, snorkel boat trip (including snorkel gear), darts, table tennis, volleyball. Petanque, pool and a varied nightly entertainment itinerary. We were all inclusive, and the exceptional food mixed Mauritian and world flavours. The staff were all so kind and friendly, particularly Rishi (with his fabulous knowledge of football and a shared love of Liverpool FC with hubby!) and Aurora who was always available with a smile and information. The Reception staff, chefs, cleaning and activity people were all charming and made our stay memorable. Special mention also to Jahmelia and Maurica who provided first class massages to our daughters.
The rooms are immaculate, large with gorgeous decor, well kept and cleaned daily.
Finally, the pool is beautifully set against a private beach providing exquisite views as you relax into your holiday. I can fully recommend Veranda Grand Baie Hotel and Spa resort for an unforgettable slice of paradise. You won't be disappointed!!! 🫶

Disappointed stay
Our stay at Veranda Hotel Grand Baie was unfortunately not as enjoyable as we had hoped. Our apartment was located at the very back of the property, quite a long walk from the main facilities. There was also no lift, which wasn't mentioned when we made the booking. Carrying luggage up the stairs and walking such a distance was very inconvenient, especially after travelling. We also found the staff to be less welcoming than expected. In our experience, they rarely greeted guests, which made the atmosphere feel less friendly and hospitable. While the hotel has some positive aspects, the accommodation allocation, lack of clear information about accessibility, and the level of customer service had a significant impact on our overall experience. We hope the hotel improves these areas and provides clearer information during the booking process.

We had a very comfortable and a pleasant day at Verandah Grand Baie. This boutique hotel is very warm, welcoming, and a perfect holiday destination. The location is fantastic!! Rooms are very comfortable and cozy
