PARADISE

Wow, where do we begin. As stated in the title, this place is paradise!! My fiancé and I at the time of arrival were greeted as if we were royalty. The service is unbelievable, the rooms are fantastic and the resort itself is heaven. My fiancé and I got married at paradise cove during our stay, all legalities was already prepared for us, a taxi had been organised to visit the capital, in which we had a very detailed journey of the history of Mauritius and was even treated to the market during the formalities. Our wedding day was perfect!! A massive thanks to, Nathalie and samatha for my hair and makeup, helping me with my nerves and making me look beautiful on my wedding day. A huge thanks to Kacey for planning and taking care of the whole day and of course helping to assist our UK family in joining us on video. If you are looking for total relaxation then this is the place to go. Alison,Tulsi, Peace, Rehan, Devaniee, Shirley and of course Sandiya….you all stood out to us and made this experience one that we will never forget. You are waited on from the minute you arrive to the minute you leave…our only regret, was not booking for longer. The food is 5 star….and the resort is very well maintained. We can’t wait to come back for our five year anniversary, if we can wait that long….ABSOLUTELY AMAZING.

Wonderful honeymoon - can’t wait to return!

We came to Paradise Cove in September 2025 for our honeymoon for 10 nights. This review is very overdue so I apologise!

We really had a fantastic time - this hotel is fantastic.

We arrived mid morning from the Gatwick flight via Dubai. Greeted very warmly with a lovely cocktail. There was some confusion to begin with as when I booked the holiday with Kuoni I originally booked an early check in (as I knew we would be arriving early morning) & a late check out. The late check out though I cancelled in advance as I realised we wouldn’t need it (we would be picked up at lunchtime).

Unfortunately Kuoni kept the late check out & cancelled the early check in so I was quite adamant with the hotel staff that I wouldn’t have kept the late check out as we wouldn’t need it. The reception staff were very good & managed to get a room ready for us - 405 - a superior junior suite with bay view. There was fresh fruit & sparking wine waiting for us. A beautiful room with lots of storage & a lovely area for hanging up clothes & a beautiful bathroom.

The main restaurant offers a fantastic choice of food. For dinner the restaurant alternates every night between self or waiter service.
The starters & desserts are in a refrigerated room with a sliding door. The bar is great too but could do with more staff for quicker service. Lunch at the bar was very good. We had one dinner at the Peninsula but the stand out restaurant was the Japanese although again service could be quicker.

It still amazes me that couples can still go away & spend their mealtimes on their phones!

We spent our days sunbathing on the bay which we were very happy with. The sunbeds overlooking the sea on the peninsula went very quickly we noted. Great service for drinks at the bay. There were lots of cabanas dotted around & these went quickly too.

We had a couple of great days out booked via Trip Advisor.

One morning we did the rum tasting experience at the hotel. Great fun & really gets you talking to the other guests. By the end we were both very squiffy! We both needed a nap afterwards, lots of water & a big lunch to soak it all up.

We visited the gym a few times which was well equipped. We hired a pedalo & also went on an hour’s snorkelling trip too.

Going in September the weather was a mixed bag but on the whole we were very lucky.

All staff were very friendly & helpful.

We can’t wait to go back - we had a wonderful time & wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.

Paradise just got better!

Not our first time at this hotel and the standards are higher than ever; from warm welcome from Christian and Sandihiya to great attention to detail in celebrating our wedding anniversary, exceptional at every turn. Linen has been improved further and is now luxuriously silky soft, we didn’t think food could get any better but it has especially at the main restaurant where we were never anything less than totally satisfied. The chefs were so attentive and kind especially the bakery chefs and Asha in the mornings at breakfast. The hospitality and helpfulness of all staff especially Abijeet, Khushi, Hamed, Edward, Manoj, Vinesh, Rajesh and Sangeeta under the guidance of Shirley was truly exceptional. The spa is also reaching new levels and we enjoyed the best massage that we’ve ever had during our stay. Live music in the evenings and the beautifully kept gardens were very much enjoyed. All in all an absolutely fantastic stay - thank you all for making it so memorable and enjoyable.

It is Paradise

We came here for 10 days from the end of July into August and even though it was their winter here the weather was really hot with just lovely warm nights, you might get a few showers out of nowhere but they tend to be short before it goes sunny again. When you arrive you are met at the door by a very pleasant member of staff and are taken into the lobby area where you sit and wait for your guide and they bring you over a drink while you wait , your luggage is taken to your room. Look for the weaver birds as you first enter from the steps outside they are on the left building their nest on the palm tree they are so pretty. Our guide was very friendly and she goes through everything with you before she shows you around the hotel. We were shown our room, the Stay bar at the lobby where there is a swimming pool , then there is the cove where all the rooms are around and this has sunbeds as well and another pool and then we went up to the Peninsular bar at the front and let me just say the view will blow you away, it is stunning , and there is another bar and pool . We were left at the bar which also has a restaurant and we didn't really know what to do so we ordered a cocktail and even though we wasn't hungry we decided to sit at the table at the Peninsular as the views from the table are , well as i said just stunning. The menu was amazing, you could have a 3 course lunch if you wanted but we had the angus striploin which came with sweet potato fries and it was delicious but ALL the food from the Peninsular restaurant was amazing and the staff are all very friendly . What they don't tell you is you have to sign for everything even if it is a glass of pop you have to have a cheque which they bring you and then you put you room number and signature on it, the only thing you don't sign for is breakfast. Our room was lovely , loads of room , the bed was really big and comfortable and the shower was huge with a rain fall shower head and the room had a view of the cove and the room was kept very tidy by our very friendly cleaner. We did most of our sunbathing at the cove with the beds all have buttons for a drink service. But there is no topless sunbathing aloud in Mauritius. I have talked about the food at the Peninsular but all the food we had was amazing, you have a la carte dinner with 4 course dinners and they have a couple of buffet nights as well . You get booked into the Japanese and Mediterranean restaurants as well , the Japanese one is separate over from the main restaurant and the Mediterranean one is served at the Peninsular on the evening but unfortunately the Japanese one is all sushi which we don't eat and the other alternative is prawns which my wife doesn't eat so its a shame they don't serve ramen or chicken variations. We headed to the Stay bar at night where again Tulsi and the staff were very friendly and brought you your drinks. The entertainment was live bands and singers and they were all very good the only one that was out of place was the DJ playing club music one of the nights not a fan of that but there was a guitarist one afternoon playing a few slow downed metal song versions. We booked a couples massage which was about £87 but book it within the first couple days to get that price but it was worth it as it was very relaxing and very professional by lovely friendly staff but just be warned they give you small paper pants to put on but my wife was ok to go topless . We booked the dinner by the cove which is a Michelin stared menu and again the staff were all very friendly and the food was incredible and chef Vicky comes around after to see if you have enjoyed your food but it does cost about £160. We booked a helicopter trip through our rep you book a taxi to go there but you have a couple of lours first where our lovely driver to us to grand baie and we stopped of at another beach along the way. Book your trip early as they sell out quick but the helicopter tour was just amazing it cost a sh** lot of money £721 but it was unforgettable. The only few nit picking things was the cat that hung around the restaurants which to me is unhygienic and a bit annoying. they could do with some ant traps in the room and on the balcony as the balcony is full of ants and so was the toilet and the the guide who showed us around asked us if we had come for any special occasion we told her it was for our 30th wedding anniversary and a manager also asked us the same question and took our room number but there was no acknowledgment from the hotel , just a small card and maybe some flowers would of been nice, a special cocktail from the bar or anything ,so that was a bit of a let down . Now i know that most people there are coming to this hotel for a special occasion but when they specifically ask you twice then you do tend to expect a small something especially as it cost us around £10000 to go there . The hotel is nice and easy to navigate and it is such a beautiful place all the staff are so friendly and hard working and they work long hours as well . We left a tip a reception as the rep said that was the best place to leave it and at the end of the holiday but maybe they should have a register to sign for any tips that are left so it is all accounted for so everyone gets a fair share. So just to sum up this hotel really is paradise the food was amazing, we loved the drinks , the staff were so professional and friendly and we had just the most perfect time for our 30th wedding anniversary and you can see why people give this hotel 5 stars.

Paradise-likely Journey

Despite not choosing paradise cove as a hotel to go on honeymoon, we were transfered there due to a systematic booking error. Paradise cove didn't disappoint. It was beyond our expectations and we had a reaallyyyyy great time there. We are happy to have discovered this hotel and will be back for sure.
