Ocean V Hotel

The service was excellent—everyone was always smiling and helpful, especially Dev, who welcomed us and showed us around the property, and Ms. Krishnee. The à la carte dinners were delicious, with a new daily menu created each day; breakfasts were a bit repetitive and lacked variety in vegetables, though everything tasted good. Overall, we consider our stay a success; the hotel is a great base, located near the beautiful Pereybere Beach and just a 15-minute walk from another charming spot, Grand Baie.

Our family experience at Ocean V Mauritius is extremely disappointing. The overall infrastructure is poorly maintained and, honestly, looks scary and very uninviting. From the moment we reached the place, we didn't feel comfortable with the hotel.

The bathroom has a constant strong, unpleasant smell and uncomfortable to use. The general condition of the property didn't match what we expected from a 4* hotel stay.

Well the place is uninviting and depressing . This is certainly not the relaxing experience we had hoped for. I do not recommend Ocean V unfortunately!

We'd had five days on Madagascar so this was our last stop before heading home and we decided to splash out with the panoramic suite. The room was as beautiful as expected but for the first couple of days we couldn't use the bath as the plug was broken. Was a delight when it was fixed as it's a very special experience lyng in the bath with an amazing view. The check in was fantastic and as we were late arriving, they had left a"light" meal in the room for us (we took the half board option). They was nothing light about ut but was a very welcome touch. Have an afternoon tea from 4-5pm each day- another lovely touch. The service in the restaurant could be a bit hit and miss but on the whole was good. Pool had the most amazing view. Hotel is very close to the beach, laundromat, supermarket and local restaurants. Only a half hour walk to the Grand Baie market which is worth a look.
