Set amongst a coconut grove bordering the seafront, this luxurious boutique hotel makes an ideal base for a relaxing get-away on the island of Mauritius. The surrounding area features a wide range of leisure activities, including golf, diving and big-game fishing. The hotel has windsurfing boards and a number of boats available for guests' use, and kite-surfing classes can be arranged with advanced notice. The hotel has three restaurant options, one on-site, one on-board a historic motorboat. Breakfast is provided, and guests can enjoy a delicious complimentary afternoon tea. The guest accommodation comprises 30 rooms and six suites, some less than ten metres from the sea. The rooms are stylishly furnished, and have a terrace, bathroom, air-conditioning and free Wi-Fi.
Relax at the full-service spa, where you can enjoy massages, body treatments and facials. You're sure to appreciate the recreational amenities, which include 2 outdoor swimming pools, a sauna and a fitness centre. Additional features at this Colonial hotel include complimentary wireless Internet access, concierge services and gift shops/newsstands.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
We really loved our stay here. The hotel property is on a beautiful stretch of sandy beach with gorgeous views of the water and overall a very calm relaxed and quiet vibe. The pool is excellent. Our room was beautifully decorated, very spacious and comfortable, with an excellent bathroom and balcony. The level of service provided by the staff is a real highlight - everyone from the reception, restaurant, bar, spa, cleaning etc. were very warm and welcoming. It was our honeymoon so we really appreciated the kind attentiveness and special experience. The food in the restaurant is fantastic, and the spa treatment we booked was also really relaxing, definitely recommend. The morning yoga session on the beach was a great way to start the day. Dinner on the Lady Lisbeth boat is an experience you should not miss!
From the moment we arrived we felt relaxed and welcome. Whilst the buildings and rooms are stunning, it is the staff which make the difference and elevate the experience at 20 degrees Sud. The yogi (Kenny) was calm and delivered brilliant yoga sessions on the beach. Jean-Micheal and the boat team ensured safe trips for snorkling and Nash and the cocktail team provided exceptional service. The resturant team and chef (too many to name) delivered consistently perfect meals in the most beautiful surroundings with attentive service. The rooms are very clean and the housekeeping team were discrete.
We cannot fault a thing with our stay.
A beautiful location on the waterfront with a friendly, welcoming but professional atmosphere. The rooms are spacious, comfortable and well equipped. The food is excellent and the whole stay was good value for money.
Last week we had a few days at 20 degrees sud to celebrate my husband's birthday. On arrival our chosen room was not ready due to another guest unable to leave the room on time. However the room manager showed us another room which was equally as nice. The room is very spacious, very clean ,comfortable bed with a large terrace and a jacuzzi. The atmosphere at the hotel is calm and unhurried, ideal for relaxing. Food is excellent at breakfast, lunch and dinner. Chef Sanjeve took very good care of us and prepared us some beautiful dishes. We also had a two hour spa treatments which was fabulous. Our therapists Kreety and Deena were very caring and friendly. The hotel also serves wonderful cocktails 🍸 and ice tea. Evening entertainment was provided by Julius at the piano and his beautiful singing. We had a wonderful stay thank you all for taking such good care of us. Thank you to Frederick, Mohamed,Laval,Denis to name but a few. You are all wonderful. Hope to return soon.
What a lovely experience at 20 Degrés Sud! We went for lunch and a spa treatment, and genuinely enjoyed every moment.
It’s a small, classy boutique hotel with so much charm, but what really stood out for me was the warmth of the Mauritian hospitality. You can feel it everywhere from the welcome to the restaurant and all the way to the spa. It feels personal, genuine and effortless.
The food was excellent, the service impeccable, and the spa was exactly what we needed peaceful, relaxing and beautifully done.
A big bravo to Lindley and the entire team for the wonderful atmosphere they have created. Special thanks to Michael for taking such good care of the organisation, Frederick in the kitchen, Saeed at the restaurant and Christine at the spa. You all made our visit truly special.
