Excellent stay, a bit more laid back than european neilson beachclub holidays I did 20+ years ago but in very beautiful surroundings. Not the best for cycling due to the local road conditions, but the beach was fantastic and the local wildlife was amazing. We saw dolphins in the bay, right by the beach, enormous fruit bats, a macaque monkey, sea turtles, rays etc. A lovely family holiday
We had a wonderful stay at The Ravenala Attitude. The restaurant service was exceptional with friendly staff. SPECIAL THANKS TO Mr Seam and O Beach restaurant manager for the outstanding services.. Once again thanks to the entire restaurant Team Mr Ahaslay,Krista,Akeeslesh, chef Deviraj
Friendly and professional staff
Fantastic resort and Neilson Hosts. Excellent accommodation, 9 all inclusive restaurants, loads of activities. Mauritius is a great blend of Local, French and British culture.
Upon arrival you are greeted by friendly staff and a huge chandelier lowered on top of a square small pool. Dont worry if you arrive late or early after they spoil you with a welcome drink you welcome to sit down for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Dont stand out like a newbie go to the beach immediately while you wait for your room. Ravenala is big with wide open spaces. They give alot of attention to cleanliness. The rooms are big with comfortable beds. Every room overlooks endless palmtrees. The variety of food from healthy to junk is endless.
Book the other restaurants in advance to experience all they have to offer. Bathrooms at pool bar is not my favourite there was always one toilette out of order. Not enough toilettes for ladies. Unfortunately another big annoyance is the wine. Defnitely not one of the good ones made in South Africa. I do hope they will consider stocking something else than Cape Bay.
The boathouse is an added bonus, from kyaks, paddle boats, standing boards and obvious the glassboat (you have to book in advance.)
My kids spend alot of time playing chess, volleyball and soccer.
Do go on the catamaran and defnitely the parachuting/ tubes.
You only live once. Carpe diem.
