The hotel lies on a private beachfront estate known as Balaclava along Turtle Bay, ideally located between Port Louis (12 km) and Grand Bay (12 km), on the north-west coast, which is known for its good climate. New trunk roads provide easy access to the hotel. Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam International Airport is approximately 60 km from the hotel.
This hotel is a luxurious beach resort and spa of the highest international standard, picturesquely framed by a 25-hectare green tropical garden and nature park and flanked by the Indian Ocean. Its remarkable setting overlooks the most enchanting Turtle Bay. The hotel is a perfect blend of tropical and colonial architecture which provides an elegant background for a sophisticated and yet utterly relaxing holiday, thanks to the unequalled multitude of sports and leisure facilities available. Renovated in 2009, this charming beach hotel has a total of 215 guest rooms. The premises are air-conditioned and guests are welcomed in a lobby with 24-hour reception and check-out service. Facilities include a hotel safe, currency exchange, hairdressing salon and a games room. Younger guests can let off steam in the children's playground and kids' club. There is also a bar at the resort. Conference facilities are available to business travellers and all guests can take advantage of the WLAN Internet access provided. Furthermore, room and laundry services are on offer (fees apply). Those guests who are arriving by car may park their vehicle in the hotel's car park. Bicycles can be hired for a fee from the hotel.

Wonderful Experience at Maritim Resort
I had a fantastic experience at Maritim Resort. The service was absolutely amazing ,professional, attentive, and welcoming from start to finish. A special mention to Mr. Davisen, whose service and professionalism truly stood out and made the experience even more enjoyable.
I also have to mention Mr. Hesh for providing the best shisha service I’ve experienced in Mauritius. His attention to detail, friendly attitude, and excellent service were exceptional.
Overall, a wonderful experience with an outstanding team. I highly recommend Maritim Resort and will definitely be coming back!
A truly exceptional Yoga experience
During my stay at Maritim Mauritius, I had the privilege of attending several yoga sessions with Manoj — and I can honestly say that they were among the most beautiful and authentic yoga experiences I have had in a long time. The sequences are thoughtfully structured and clearly rooted in the traditional yogic path. Each session unfolds in a harmonious and meaningful way, with the individual postures, transitions, breathing and moments of stillness coming together naturally. There is a sense of purpose behind the practice, without ever feeling forced or overly instructional. What makes Manoj truly special, however, is that he does not simply teach yoga — he embodies it. His presence, gentleness and complete absence of ego create a very rare quality within the room. He has an incredible ability to create a space in which everyone feels welcome and accepted exactly as they are. Whether you are taking your very first steps in yoga or have been practising for many years, his classes have the potential to become a deeply personal experience. The setting makes the experience even more extraordinary. Practising yoga at Maritim Mauritius, surrounded by such natural beauty, tranquillity and an incredibly beautiful ambience, creates a wonderful connection between the practice and the environment. There is something very special about moving, breathing and finding stillness in such a peaceful and inspiring place. The surroundings seem to naturally support what yoga is ultimately about: slowing down, becoming present and reconnecting with yourself. I have lived in India for several years myself and have been practising yoga for many years. Having encountered yoga in India and experienced different teachers and traditions, I was genuinely delighted to discover such a high level of authenticity and quality in yoga here at Maritim Mauritius. What touched me most was that Manoj’s teaching is not about demonstrating how much one knows or how advanced a posture can become. It is about creating an experience. His humility, kindness and presence allow the practice to unfold naturally, and somehow he manages to bring together people of completely different levels into one shared experience.
For me, these sessions were therefore much more than a fitness activity during a holiday. They were moments of stillness, awareness and genuine connection — moments in which I could simply arrive, breathe and be. I highly recommend experiencing a yoga session with Manoj at Maritim Mauritius. For anyone who understands yoga as more than a physical practice — as a path towards greater awareness, balance and inner connection — his classes are truly something special. Namaste Annette

We had a truly memorable stay at the resort. From check-in to check-out, we received excellent service and were made to feel genuinely welcomed throughout our stay.
The room, main restaurant, bar, and resort facilities were all of a very good standard. What truly made our experience special, however, was the wonderful team of staff. Their warmth, friendliness, and dedication made our stay even more enjoyable.
A special thank you to the Resort Manager, Mr. Krishna Sanmuthiya, for making us feel so welcome and ensuring that we had a pleasant experience.
We would also like to express our sincere appreciation to the team members who went above and beyond during our stay — Neha at reception, Azagen at the bar, Grace, Yash, Lovesh, Yvette, as well as the amazing spa and activities teams.

Thank you so much Mr Krishna Sanmuthiya, the resort manager, for our excellent stay at the Maritim Resort. Krishna was awesome and looked after us so well. We checked in a bit early and he was there to receive us. The reception was fast and special thanks to Neha for our express room delivery. Maritim is nestled in the turtle bay area, a marvelous area of mauritius, tanquil, beautiful and idyllic. We loved the sunsets and beach. Our room was excellent and well catered for. Comfy beds and clean. Mr Krishna went out of his way to ensure our dinner was a special moment particularly and the special treat for my son and my birthday was amazing. Thank you all the restaurant staff and Mr Ganesh. Food was excellent and the special attention from mr Krishna who went out of his way was very well appreciated. Special thanks go to Mr Azagen and his staff (Grace, Yash, Lovesh, Yvette) who pampered us with lovely drinks and food.
We stayed on all-inclusive and its value for money. Excellent food and drinks with legendary Mauritian hospitality.
