I have been meaning to write this review for almost a year now, but one thing has never changed: the way I feel about Le Méridien Île Maurice. Nearly a year has passed since my stay, yet I still think about this hotel and the incredible people who made it so unforgettable.

I have been fortunate enough to stay in some wonderful places, but the level of service I experienced here was unlike anything I have ever encountered. It wasn’t just professional. It was deeply personal. Every member of the team made us feel genuinely cared for, and by the end of our stay, it felt as though we were leaving family rather than a hotel.

There are a few people who deserve special recognition.

Baboo and Meenakshi were, without question, the best waiter and waitress I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. Within just a few days, they made us feel completely at home. What began as excellent service quickly turned into genuine friendship. They were warm, attentive, kind, and always greeted us with the biggest smiles. They are the kind of people who leave a lasting impression long after your holiday has ended.

Our butler, Keasaven, can only be described with one word: WOW. He went far beyond what anyone could ever expect. My family has relatives buried in Mauritius, and we wanted to visit the cemetery during our trip. Without hesitation, Keasaven arranged the most beautiful floral arrangement for us to take. It was such a thoughtful gesture and meant more to my family than words can express. Of course, he was always there to collect us in the golf cart for dinner reservations and help with anything we needed, but what made him so extraordinary was that he genuinely cared. Every interaction felt sincere, and he constantly went above and beyond to make our stay special.

Then there were Nikhil and Solomon, the dynamic duo! My mother and I each have our signature cocktails, and within a day they had memorised exactly what we liked to drink, right down to our favourite wines. I have honestly never experienced service like it. Somehow they always seemed to know exactly what we wanted before we even asked, and the drinks kept on coming!. Their attention to detail was incredible, but even more than that, they were simply two of the kindest, funniest, and most welcoming people we met.

The beautiful beaches, breathtaking sunsets, delicious food, and stunning rooms certainly make Le Méridien Île Maurice an incredible destination. But what truly makes this hotel exceptional is its people. They transformed a wonderful holiday into one of the most memorable experiences of my life.

If I could have stayed another month, I would have done so in a heartbeat and even that wouldn’t have felt like enough. I have never missed a hotel staff as much as I have missed the incredible team at Le Méridien Île Maurice, and I genuinely cannot wait for the day I return.

Thank you to everyone who made our stay so unforgettable. You gave us memories that will last a lifetime.
