The island's capital, Port-Louis, a bustling centre of business and entertainment, is only 15 kms from the hotel. It is located 55 kms from Sir Seewoosagur International Airport of Mauritius and only 15 kms from the island's hub, Grand Baie, known for its shopping, restaurants, bars, and nightlife. This hotel stands at the edge of 1,000 metres of sparkling ivory sands on the north-west coast of Mauritius, in the bay of Pointe Aux Piments of the Indian Ocean. Lush gardens create the perfect atmosphere for a romantic getaway. The hotel's 265 spacious deluxe rooms located in the main building offer views over the tropical garden, which leads to the beach and the Indian Ocean. Beyond simple relaxation afforded by the sand and sea, the hotel offers several games, different sport activities and excursions that range from glass-bottom boat tours to snorkelling and scuba diving.
Pamper yourself with a visit to the spa, which offers massages, body treatments and facials. After dipping into one of the 2 outdoor swimming pools, you can spend some time at the private beach. Additional features at this resort include complimentary wireless Internet access, concierge services and babysitting (surcharge).
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
Great Hotel with amazing service. Stayed at the Nirvana Bliss section for our honeymoon. Very friendly and attentative staff. Special thank you to Aryan that made us feel welcome during our stay and for his excellent service.
We have had a wonderful two week stay in the Nirvana suites at Le Meridian. It has been a most relaxing time in a great setting, the sunsets were amazing. From check in to check out we were treat with care and respect. The staff were so helpful and friendly, nothing was too much trouble. We were impressed with service in the restaurants especially the breakfast at Jade. We spent most days by the pool in the adult only section where the waiters at the Nirvana pool bar were so attentive. A special mention to Sharween at Latitude 20, she was so efficient and pleasant, a credit to the hotel.

Not the experience we were hoping for. Extremely busy, loud and chaotic resort. Over 200+ rooms. Check in process took an unreasonably lengthy amount of time despite advanced notice. Room was spacious, however extremely noisy. Could hear outside music and was nearby to kids area. Service was poor at the pool bar and buffet - too many people. Unable to go to restaurants without a reservation, making it difficult when we arrived late on our first night. However food at the restaurants and service was good. Would have possibly had a better experience as a couple in the adults-only section, however needed to ask for special permission to use the pool. Did not feel like a 5 star resort, facilities were poor and parts of hotel seemed rundown. The beach did not seem to live up to photos advertised. Wishing we had a different experience for the price! Checked out 2 nights early. Probably more for families with kids looking for a less luxurious experience.

We had a wonderful holiday at Le Meridian, the staff couldn’t have been more helpful from our greeting on arrival to the pool, bars, restaurant and house keeping team. The hotel is in a fabulous location on the beach with pretty much everything you could need in the resort itself. The hotel offers excursions around the island which is a must and the animation team also offer local walks to see a bit of the surrounding area.
The a’la carte restaurants offer plenty of choice for most but can be a bit limited if you have any fussy eaters - can’t comment on the children’s menus though.
The main Nomad restaurant caters for most tastes daily and always has pasta etc available so no-one will go hungry. The main restaurant does get a bit busy so can feel a bit impersonal at times but better if you can get a table outside as it is quieter and more relaxed, however, there are always plenty of staff about to help. We did notice that sometimes tables were missing bits of cutlery etc especially at breakfast. A bit more spacing of the tables in here would make it feel a bit more personal but not really a big issue.
We had the option to use a dine around facility so did go over to the Westin hotel one night for a change which was worth the visit.
The hotel was always being cleaned so even around the pool areas there was never any rubbish lying around. Rooms were serviced daily and they also offered a turn down service at night, we also got a lovely selection of towel art during our stay! The housekeeping staff were all very friendly and happy to help with anything.
The pools were lovely and never any issues getting a sun bed, it was a little windy when we were there so didn’t really go in the sea or get to use the paddle boards etc as it was too windy but plenty of other things to keep us occupied.
A laid back friendly atmosphere made this a lovely relaxing holiday and good value for money, would definitely return here again.
