The InterContinental Mauritius Resort Balaclava Fort spans over a breathtaking area on the island, offering magnificent views of the Bay of Balaclava. Situated to the north of Port-Louis, the capital city, the hotel is conveniently positioned within a 15-minute drive of the vibrant shopping, entertainment, and dining hub of Grand Baie. Additionally, it is just a 55-minute journey from Plaisance International Airport.
This resort offers fabulous views of the ocean and 210 elegant, functional, well-furnished and spacious rooms. Guests are welcomed in a lobby with 24-hour reception and check-out services. Facilities include a hotel safe, currency exchange and a cloakroom. There is also a hairdressing salon, restaurants, bars, sports facilities, a games room, and a spa offering various treatments. For the younger guests, there is a children's playground and a kids' club. Cars, scooters and bicycles are all available to rent (hire fees apply) and the hotel's concierge is on hand to assist with any request.

Amazing hospitality
stay at the InterContinental Beach property was truly wonderful, and what made the experience even more special was the exceptional hospitality from the moment we arrived. The front desk staff were incredibly welcoming, warm, and professional, making us feel comfortable and valued right from the beginning. The managers were equally impressive—friendly, attentive, and genuinely committed to ensuring that every guest had a memorable stay. A special mention goes to Khilesh, who assisted us with great care and patience and went above and beyond to make our experience smooth and enjoyable. Drishti deserves a special mention as well; her beautiful smile, positive attitude, and warm personality added an extra touch of happiness to our stay. The entire team created such a welcoming atmosphere that we truly felt at home. The food was also absolutely amazing, with delicious flavors, excellent presentation, and a wonderful variety that made every meal something to look forward to. the combination of the beautiful beach property, outstanding service, welcoming managers, attentive front desk team, and fantastic food made our visit an unforgettable experience. Amazing hotel
Excellent experience! The food was delicious, and the staff was absolutely lovely. A special thank you to Wesley at Senso restaurant, as well as Ashish, Abha, Rakesh, Mourpriya, Issen, and Vikas for the incredible cheesy naan. We also highly appreciate Mr. Naandan for warmly acknowledging us during the reception dinner.It was truly one of our best vacation experiences. The room service was amazing—our rooms were kept perfectly clean and tidy, which was very impressive. Every evening, the housekeeping team proactively checked in on us to see if we needed anything. We are completely in awe of this hotel and highly recommend it to both couples and families. Thank you to everyone at the InterContinental!
Excellent hotel
Great location, friendly atmosphere. Staff in senso restaurant very accommodating. Chef surya made me cheese naan on request, cooked Mauritian vegetable christofin which was yummy. Vimla really looked after us, told us about the traditional food and dress, really lovely and was always waiting at hand if we needed anything. Thank you to Harrish, kaussoom and all staff in the restaurant. Thank you so much for a wonderful experience 🙂
