The Lagoon Attitude is located on the north coast of Mauritius in Anse La Raie, overlooking one of the island’s largest lagoons. The hotel edges a protected coast on the north side of the island and is reserved for adults only, offering a chilled seaside vibe. Lagoon Attitude is resolutely eco-committed.
Guests' looking to relax can bathe by one of the hotel's 3 swimming pools, or enjoy a treatment at the hotels Spa POZ, which offers a great selection of treatments using 100% natural – and locally made – products. For those looking for something a bit livelier, there is evening entertainment up to 5 times a week, and DJ parties including a beach part, or pool party.
There is plenty on offer at the hotel to keep you busy throughout the day including tennis, beach volley, a fitness centre, board games, and yoga for beginners. For those looking to make use out of the crystal blue waters, why not take part in a full day catamaran trip*, PADI diving*, kayaking, snorkelling, or kite surfing (nearby).
There are 182 rooms at the hotel, some with an outdoor Jacuzzi, and traditional Mauritian architecture blends with contemporary beach decor to create a paradise for nature and sea lovers. Each room is complete with free wi-fi, a telephone, electronic safe, hair dryer, tea and coffee making facilities and air conditioning.
There is a choice of three very different atmospheres, depending on whether you are looking for fun or peaceful holiday moments. The Otentik (authentic) area with its Mauritian restaurants; the lively area with its ocean facing Seabreeze Bar; and a peaceful area hosting an infinity pool and a gastronomic restaurant. Dining here is in tune with nature, so you will find a choice of seasonal and locally grown produce on your plate. If you are on a half board basis or higher, the Dine Around experience allows you to try three out of the five hotel restaurants. The staff, known as Family Members, will go above and beyond to look after every guest throughout their stay here – they are a true reflection of warm Mauritian hospitality.
Lagoon Attitude is Travelife Gold and Made in Moris certified for its continuous efforts towards social and environmental sustainability practices. The hotel lives and breathes Attitude Hotels’ Positive Impact movement. From a ban on single-use plastics in its guest experience to its self-service Bulk Shop, everything has been thought about here when it comes to sustainability. Guests can visit the Marine Discovery Centre to learn about the lagoon and marine life conservation projects, join an eco-workshop or pick up a blue net bag to help collect any litter seen while exploring the snorkelling trail or walking along the coast.
Relax at the full-service spa, where you can enjoy massages, body treatments and facials. You're sure to appreciate the recreational amenities, which include 3 outdoor swimming pools, a steam room and a fitness centre. Additional features at this hotel include complimentary wireless Internet access, an arcade/games room and tour/ticket assistance.
Stayed here middle of sept to the end of sept. Fantastic place, incredible people. Couldn't do enough for you. Got married on the beach at the hotel too which was perfect. Never had to search for an empty lounger. The beach area was lovely. The main pool area was decent, music from sea breeze bar playing in the background. Music was always chilled lounge style house/laid back vibes. Main man in the sea breeze bar never had you waiting long for a bevy. He'd be pouring yours whilst serving others too. The pools up at Coral are calm and quiet for a very chilled day. Proper class layout.
Didn't have a bad meal whilst there. The selection in the main buffet hall was brilliant. The 3 restaurant's for evening meals that you have to book are also brilliant. Would recommend Taba J for lunch on the beach.
The room was a decent size and we had a sea view. The room was tidied spotless everyday when we returned.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Lagoon Attitude and couldn’t recommend it enough! From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded our expectations. The room was always spotless and well maintained, the food was amazing, and all the staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and attentive.
One of the best things about this hotel is that everything looks exactly like the photos online, which makes the experience even more special. What really stood out to us, though, was the hotel’s genuine commitment to preserving the beauty of Mauritius, its wildlife, marine life, and the environment. It’s truly heartwarming to see how much care and effort goes into protecting this beautiful island and its natural surroundings.
The staff really go above and beyond to make you feel welcome and ensure you have the best possible experience. A special mention goes to the restaurant manager at the Mauritius restaurant, who was exceptionally friendly, as well as the lovely team member at the pool bar, who made us feel so welcome.
Thank you to the entire team for making our stay so memorable. The combination of amazing food, wonderful hospitality, beautiful surroundings, and a genuine commitment to sustainability makes Lagoon Attitude a truly special place.

Lagoon Attitude – A brilliant hotel, simply facing the wrong direction! A great stay, with a few areas to improve.
We’ve had a lovely stay at Lagoon Attitude and would definitely recommend it, although there are a few things that could be improved to make the experience even better.
The hotel and atmosphere
One of the biggest positives is the size of the hotel. It’s not too big or busy, and even though we were told the hotel was full, it never felt overcrowded. There were always plenty of sunbeds and places to sit, and we never had to queue at the bars. It has a really relaxed atmosphere, and all the staff we encountered were friendly, welcoming and keen to help.
Restaurants and food
Coral was by far our favourite restaurant, with Lemongrass a close second. Both were excellent, and we'd highly recommend eating at both. Kot Nou was noticeably behind the other two in our experience.
One important tip: book your restaurants well in advance by emailing the hotel before you arrive. We found the booking process a little frustrating, and getting the times and restaurants we wanted once at the hotel could be difficult. Unfortunately, we didn't always find the restaurant booking service particularly helpful.
We also found the all-inclusive arrangements confusing at times. It wasn't always clear what was included and what required an additional payment. Staff were happy to clarify when we asked, but we sometimes felt awkward having to ask in the first place. Clearer information about what's included would make a big difference.
One slightly uncomfortable experience was at Kot Nou, where a senior waitress asked how we had enjoyed our meal. I hadn't finished one part of the dessert because it was simply too sweet for my taste, although my wife loved it. The waitress then brought the chef out to explain the dessert's sweetness. It felt completely unnecessary and rather awkward, especially as the chef had prepared a lovely meal for us. A bill showing all zeros was then brought to the table because we were all-inclusive, which also felt a little strange. We appreciated the intention behind the service, but the whole interaction felt over the top.
We also noticed that most guests eat quite early. We prefer a more Mediterranean-style evening, eating later, and even our 8:30 pm bookings felt early for us. We were often the last people in the restaurants, so bear this in mind if you enjoy late dinners.
Bars and service
The Seabreeze bar was a favourite, particularly thanks to Ganesha. He's an absolute credit to the hotel: genuinely lovely, kind and welcoming to everyone. Make sure you ask him for a San Francisco cocktail! The wider Seabreeze team were also fantastic.
Unfortunately, service in the main bar during the evening entertainment was disappointing at times. They insist on table service, but there simply didn't seem to be enough staff to cope with the number of guests. This meant waiting longer than necessary for drinks, which took away from an otherwise enjoyable evening. Either additional staff or a more flexible ordering system would help enormously.
We also felt the no-smoking rules around the amphitheatre need to be enforced more consistently. On some evenings, the area smelled strongly of cigarette smoke, which wasn't pleasant when trying to enjoy the entertainment.
Activities and facilities
Padel can be booked through reception with the animation team, which is useful to know. The cooking class, however, was disappointing. We expected something more interactive, but essentially watched a chef make a curry before eating it. It wasn't really worth the time in our opinion.
The boathouse offers activities and excursions, but book these a few days in advance to avoid disappointment.
The spa deserves a special mention. My wife had an amazing full-body massage with Deepika, who made her feel completely comfortable and relaxed. She would absolutely recommend booking a treatment with her. Thank you, Deepika!
The resident dogs generally don't bother guests unless you actively encourage them, which we appreciated. They can bark quite a lot in the evenings, though. We also noticed a cat in one of the restaurants being fed by guests, which we didn't think was particularly appropriate for a restaurant environment.
The beach and exploring Mauritius
One thing worth mentioning is the weather and beach conditions. On some days, the wind and lack of sunshine meant we ended up heading indoors at around 4:30 pm. This will obviously depend on the weather and time of year, but it's worth considering if spending all day on a sheltered, sunny beach is your main priority.
Our advice would be to hire a car and explore the island. We found the beaches along the north-west coast much better for what we were looking for, and it would have been a shame to visit Mauritius without seeing more of it.
Overall
We've had a really enjoyable stay at Lagoon Attitude. The relaxed atmosphere, friendly staff, excellent Coral and Lemongrass restaurants, quality entertainment and wonderful spa experience all made for a memorable holiday.
The main areas for improvement are restaurant booking, clearer all-inclusive information, evening bar service and a few inconsistencies in the overall guest experience.
These issues stopped it being a five-star stay for us, but there is plenty to like about this hotel. With a few improvements, it could be even better.
During our stay at Lagoon Attitude, we had the pleasure of trying a variety of dishes from Coral’s diverse menu, and we were impressed by every single one of them. A huge compliment to the chefs Oshan, Gunakshi and Yuvraj – every dish was delicious, beautifully prepared and full of flavour.
However, what truly made Coral stand out was the exceptional service provided by the entire team: Usha, Akshay, Jerome, Permal and Sumit. Their warmth, kindness and genuine dedication made us feel incredibly welcome from the very first moment. Their friendliness and attentiveness went far beyond our expectations and made every visit feel special. A big thank you to all of you!
