Depart the UK on your overnight flight to Mauritius.
Dinner
On arrival you’ll be met by your local, English speaking guide and taken to your hotel to unwind for the evening.
Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
This morning you’ll be met by your guide who’ll be travelling with you as you explore this beautiful island and its bountiful sights. You’ll begin the day with a visit to Domaine des Aubineaux and St Aubin which will provide an insight into the way of life of tea-planters in colonial times, whilst learning about the journey that this beloved plant takes from ‘crop-to cup’ at the Bois Cheri factory & museum. Once you’ve been perked up by this morning excursion, you’ll be heading off on a beautiful drive to reach Vanilla Crocodile Park in the village of Riviere des Anguilles. Take a walk on the wild side as you stroll through this lush green setting, seeing how the palm trees and giant bamboo provide welcome shade to the hundreds of Nile crocodiles which are raised here. You’ll also see a huge herd of Aldabra giant tortoises, including Domino – the centenarian – who weighs in at a whopping 275kg! Once you’ve had a chance to take some souvenir photos with Domino you’ll continue exploring the exuberant fauna here which houses myriad animals amidst and beneath its canopy layer: iguanas, chameleons, geckos, monkeys, lemurs, deer, wild boar, and mongoose – to name a few. Lunch will be served in nearby St Aubin, and after lunch you’ll continue your tour along the captivating south coast until you reach the gorgeous, jaw-dropping site of Gris Gris Beach. Once you’ve spent some time having a seaside stroll, you’ll be taken back to the hotel where you can relax in the wondrous nature here, before indulging in the evening meal.
Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
After breakfast, you’ll be leaving the hotel for a visit to the magnificent waterfall of Chamarel – found on a delightful hiking trail through the undulating forests on the island. From here you’ll be guided to a completely unique place which appears as if an optical illusion: the ‘seven coloured earth.’ This world-famous attraction is created through a volcanic geological phenomenon and expressed by a swirling together of all the rainbow’s colours amidst the earth which undulate into the distance, creating an unforgettably beautiful natural feature. This is truly a treasure not to be missed. Once you’ve completed the hike you’ll be taken for your reward, which is the opportunity to sample a range of local delicacies alongside a rum tasting session at the Rhumerie Chamarel, where you’ll also be served your lunch. In the afternoon you’ll visit Curious Corner which – as its name suggests – is a highly unusual place; a gallery of illusion and mystery filled with mind-bending perceptual trickery that’s sure to awaken your curiosity! You will then be taken to your beach hotel where you will be staying for the rest of your holiday.
Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
Spend the next week at your chosen resort in complete relaxation. Wherever you choose you’ll be right by the ocean where you could choose to snorkel amidst the beautifully diverse marine life, take daily strolls across the dreamlike golden sands, or simply sit back and soak up the suns rays as you deepen your love affair with this beautiful place.

Sunny days are the norm in Mauritius, and one of the best ways to spend another day under a clear blue sky is to laze in or by the blue lagoon. The perfect sand and blue sea are hard to resist – and we do recommend the scuba diving if you get the chance. But, this being Mauritius, there's a real variety in the landscape and a few miles from the beach you can go exploring in the beautiful forest reserve.
