The superb resort exudes an air of tranquillity and serenity. The spacious rooms and suites are wonderfully appointed and exude unobtrusive luxury. Excellent features include complimentary WIFI. Guests are offered a wide range of sports facilities including a 9-hole golf course, a sailing school and a diving school. The exquisite restaurants serve gourmet cuisine, and guests can get pampered in the world-class spa & wellness area. Truly a piece of paradise in the middle of the Indian Ocean.
Conditions for Honeymooners: The travel dates should be within one year from the wedding date and a copy of the wedding certificate should be produced at the time of check-in.
Dress Code: Daytime: Smart casual - swimwear or tank tops are not allowed. Evening: Smart casual- no shorts, bermuda shorts, beachwear or sportswear allowed. Applicable for children as from 12 years old.

Our 3rd stay – lovely hospitality
This was our third stay at Shandrani, and overall we had a very pleasant experience.
The staff are definitely the highlight. Everyone was welcoming and consistently greeted guests warmly, whether local or international. The resort was also very clean, our room was well maintained, and the two pools never felt overcrowded despite high occupancy. The recent renovations have also given the property a fresh feel.
A special mention to Zina from Customer Service, who was exceptional. She listened, understood our concerns and followed up professionally. We were also pleasantly surprised with a complimentary late check-out, which was a lovely gesture.
The main area for improvement would be the food. We found the breakfast buffet somewhat repetitive during our two-night stay, and we felt that the overall food and dessert quality could be improved, particularly compared with the gastronomic standards we have experienced at other luxury resorts. The sushi size and consistency were also not what we expected.
We shared our feedback during the stay, including directly with the Chef following Zina’s recommendation. While we appreciated the opportunity to discuss it, we felt that some of the feedback was received defensively rather than openly.
As returning guests, we would also have appreciated a small welcome-back gesture or token of appreciation in the room. It is not about the value, but simply about recognising loyal guests.
Despite these points, we enjoyed our stay and would return. The warmth of the staff, cleanliness and overall service remain strong reasons to choose Shandrani.

The ultimate luxury holiday
We had a wonderful 5 night stay at Shandrani in June! The staff were accommodating, friendly and helpful. A special mention to Shabnam, Joshica, Marckelly, Benita and Papy, Babi and Princesse with their boat excursion. They all made our stay especially memorable, left a lasting impression and we miss them already!
The room was stunning, comfortable and clean. Each restaurant impressed us with their wonderful cuisine, we had amazing dining experiences every night. But especially at Teak Elephant. The overall atmosphere was stunning and tranquil and the evening entertainment was amazing! We can't wait to go back.

Absolutely loved our stay at Shandrani Beachcomber! It was such a beautiful escape into nature, with amazing views, especially from the entrance towards the beach and the little island-like view of Mauritius. The staff were so friendly and caring, especially the Boathouse team ,Sebastien, Emilien,Raphaël,Steven et Ashvin, huge shoutout to them! 🌴🌊
The only thing I think could be improved is the food. It was good, but I would have loved more variety, especially more international dishes. As Mauritians, we were hoping to experience something a little different from the Mauritian food we already enjoy at home. Overall, though, we had a wonderful experience! ❤️

Fantastic Place
The staff here are super friendly and helpful, and the bar staff are exceptional. The location is beautiful, with rooms overlooking the ocean. There is a great range of activities for all age groups, in and out of the water
