Guests are offered a wide range of sports facilities including a 9-hole golf course, a sailing school and a diving school. The exquisite restaurants serve gourmet cuisine, and guests can get pampered in the world-class spa & wellness area. Truly a piece of paradise in the middle of the Indian Ocean.
Conditions for Honeymooners: The travel dates should be within one year from the wedding date and a copy of the wedding certificate should be produced at the time of check-in.
Dress Code: Daytime: Smart casual - swimwear or tank tops are not allowed. Evening: Smart casual- no shorts, bermuda shorts, beachwear or sportswear allowed. Applicable for children as from 12 years old.
Relax at the full-service spa, where you can enjoy massages, body treatments and facials. After practising your swing on the golf course, you can dip into one of the 2 outdoor swimming pools. Additional features at this resort include complimentary wireless Internet access, concierge services and babysitting (surcharge).
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
Asven at Le Sirius bar was an amazing barman and gave us fantastic service and the best cocktails!
We stayed at Shandrani for three nights in a two-bedroom family apartment, travelling with our two children (3 and 5). A really enjoyable stay, and a great first stop in Mauritius.
Spa. Excellent. I booked one of the September specials and was treated to a lovely massage in my own private outdoor hut — lying there with the soft breeze and the sounds of nature around you is something else. I also did the yoga at the spa twice and loved it. Worth booking early in your stay.
Rooms. Very neat, though could use a bit of maintenance. The children had their own room within our apartment, with a single and a bunk bed, and they adored having their own space. One tip: request a block closer to the main area. We were quite far out, though I’m not sure the two-bedroom family rooms are available closer in — worth asking when you book.
Kids’ club. The staff were lovely and very friendly. The equipment and toys did look a little older, although everything was clean.
Pools and beach. The children loooved the kiddies’ pool, but do note it isn’t heated. The sea was gorgeous — we preferred the beach in front of the main hotel area.
Sports. We played a lot of tennis and never had trouble booking a court on a whim.
Food. I preferred the à la carte breakfast to the busy buffet. At the a la carte dinner restaurants there were good options included in All Inclusive and same for wines and cocktails. Book early. Ponte Vecchio fills up quickly, so reserve it as soon as you arrive. And do go to the Blue Bar for drinks after dinner — the entertainment there was really good.
We chose Shandrani Beachcomber for our destination wedding in Mauritius, and we could not have been happier with our choice. From the beautiful surroundings and immaculate grounds to the excellent food and variety of dining options, everything was wonderful. We especially loved the beautiful desserts and the stunning beach where our wedding ceremony took place.
A very special thank you goes to our wedding coordinator, Laura. She was incredibly kind, helpful and professional throughout the whole process. Everything we had chosen for our wedding was prepared exactly according to our wishes, and she made us feel that everything was under control. Her attention to detail and willingness to help made a huge difference and allowed us to simply enjoy our special day.
The weather was a little challenging on our wedding day, with strong winds and not quite the “catalogue weather” we had dreamed of, but honestly, it did not spoil our day at all. Our wedding was still beautiful, special and truly unforgettable. The following days were sunny and we were able to fully enjoy our honeymoon as well.
We also really appreciated the kindness of everyone at the resort. Every question or request was met with a smile, and we always felt genuinely welcomed and well taken care of. The Honeymoon Experience, including a wonderful full-body massage and scrub, and our beautiful wedding dinner were the perfect finishing touches.
Thank you to the whole Shandrani Beachcomber team, and especially to Laura, for helping make our wedding day so special. We will always remember our time here and will be very happy to look back on Shandrani as the place where we got married❤️

Amazing service from start to finish. Plenty of choice in food. Staff can’t do enough for you. Rooms are very spacious and modern. I love that the transfer time is only 7 minutes, with this in mind you do get planes flying over the resort but you get used to that and is really good to watch
We’ve had such a fantastic stay at Shandrani Beachcomber. From the moment we arrived, the service has been exceptional — the staff are so friendly, welcoming and genuinely can’t do enough for you. Nothing is ever too much trouble.
We were greeted with a lovely drink on arrival and a beautifully cold towel that smelt absolutely divine — such a simple touch, but it really set the tone for our stay. It’s these little extra touches that make the experience feel so special.
The food has been amazing, with plenty of choice and everything we’ve had has been delicious. Our room was spacious, stunning and incredibly comfortable.
The resort itself is beautiful, with the most gorgeous beach and plenty to keep you busy. We loved having the option of pickleball, padel and a great gym, and the spa is absolutely stunning.
The attention to detail, wonderful staff and those little touches throughout our stay have made Shandrani such a special experience. We’ve absolutely loved it and would happily come back.
