This lovely boutique hotel is located in East Coast and boasts a beautiful beach location. When designer Camille Walala saw our bright blue skies, pink sunsets, green sugarcane fields, and the explosion of diverse paint colours used to decorate the houses in our village, it was love at first sight. And with local makers creating the furniture, art, and finer details, the Mauritian influence comes through loud and clear. It makes our boutique hotel completely unique.

Guests can soak up the tropical weather whilst taking advantage of the outdoor swimming pool and sun loungers, or even enjoy a range of water sports and on-site activities like horse riding, or why not take part in a traditional cooking class, this way you can enjoy the amazing cuisine at home!

Exceptional beyond words
Absolutely Exeptional, the chef from the Tek Tek restaurant made me a personalised menu for the à la carte for my birthday as i am allergic to seafood. I wish i had many words to explain this experience but this is the best hotels i have stayed at.

What an amazing hotel. Well deserved 5 stars! The staff are amazing, kind and respectful. The place is immaculate. The food is beautiful and the cleaners are brilliant.
I am so glad we came here. Thank you so much to Med and all of the brilliant team (sorry I’m so bad at remembering names) for making our stay so great.
The rooms are a great size and are so clean.
If you want a luxury, relaxing, quiet escape with amazing, attentive service in a picturesque location, in a clean, high-spirited environment, please stay here. You won’t regret it.
A heart-warming week at Salt
My partner and I spent 5 days at Salt. It was such an amazing time. The hotel is unique and full of character and the staff are exceptional. The food was really great, and we never had a bad meal. We did lots of activities including the rum tasting with Bavish (he was very comical and entertaining), visit to the Flacq market, snorkelling, spa day and a bakery class with Yanick. I would like to mention Ananda, the manager at reception and Vickers at the boat house. They made our stay extra special with their kindness and hospitality.

An absolutely exceptional stay from beginning to end. This is one of those rare hotels where you can feel that every single detail has been carefully thought through. Everything was beautiful, effortless, and incredibly well done.
What made the experience particularly special was the staff. Everyone was genuinely warm and friendly while remaining highly professional, attentive, and thoughtful. The level of service was outstanding throughout my stay.
One of the absolute highlights was a cooking class with the chef. I have done cooking classes in different places around the world, and this was genuinely the best one I have ever experienced. It was personal, fun, inspiring, and something I will remember for a long time.
I also loved the range of activities available — snorkeling, kayaking, paddleboarding, and much more — all complimentary, which made it so easy to enjoy everything Mauritius has to offer and made the stay feel even more special.
The hotel itself is simply beautiful, with a wonderful atmosphere and an incredible attention to detail. I enjoyed every moment of my stay and honestly struggled to find a single thing that could have been better.
I cannot recommend this place highly enough. A truly wonderful experience, and somewhere I would return to without hesitation.
