This lovely boutique hotel is located in East Coast and boasts a beautiful beach location. When designer Camille Walala saw our bright blue skies, pink sunsets, green sugarcane fields, and the explosion of diverse paint colours used to decorate the houses in our village, it was love at first sight. And with local makers creating the furniture, art, and finer details, the Mauritian influence comes through loud and clear. It makes our boutique hotel completely unique.

Guests can soak up the tropical weather whilst taking advantage of the outdoor swimming pool and sun loungers, or even enjoy a range of water sports and on-site activities like horse riding, or why not take part in a traditional cooking class, this way you can enjoy the amazing cuisine at home!

Amazing hotel experience!
I would highly recommend you stay at Salt of Palmer, best hotel we've stayed at. They have great facilities including the heated outdoor pool, free activities throughout the day to sign up to, a gym, and a boat house.
We throurougly enjoyed spending time in the sea doing water sports, Roshan and Vik and the staff at the boat house were extraordinary at ensuring we were safe at sea as well as building relationships with us.
Bhavish from the rooftop bar made us the most unique & tasty drinks whilst keeping a great vibe with the music. He even went out of his way to ask us how we would like our salted caramel milkshakes, and they were delicious.
Every member of staff went above and beyond making our stay memorable and special! The chef, Shiv and the chef's team, were extremely accommodating to us, as we included a fussy eater and a dairy free vegetarian, the menu is already very vegetarian and vegan friendly. Every single dish we had was of the highest quality and really enjoyable. We ended up there every night because we couldn't get enough!
The pool bar team always amazing, Armaan and Bhishav. Bhishav also did truly extraordinary coffee art on our coffees which was lovely to see and impressive. At breakfast Akshay and Daram were amazing among many other truly exceptional staff, making sure we had everything we wanted and that we were enjoying the food, which was some of the most delicious food I have ever had. The dinner team, including Vinesh and Rewa, were always happy to help with our many questions and always had a smile on their face.
Overall, all the staff were very smiley and always made an effort to chat and joke with us which led to a truly joyful atmosphere!

Day use at lovely salt of palmar
One & Only SALT My friend recommended SALT for lunch and we went there . It was not expected ! Not at all. The welcoming was royal , we never felt like locals . The Security at main gate had our booking and the welcoming Team showed us around and it was very very beautiful and picturesque . We met Chef Jiji at the BBQ and he was just hilarious .The best Chef we have met till now. His recommendations was followed and we ate the best chicken grill. Just super tasty and the sauce was wow. The price was good as well and so was the service from the team. We have recommended already to friends and if you are full for lunch ,then know that we sent them ! Till then see you all- Rush and Nush

It was magical and created a memory that we will cherish forever❤️ The oceanfront rooms, every thoughtful gesture, and your constant efforts to make our stay special meant more than words can express. What impressed us the most was how every member of your team (Yogesh, Akash) was always ready with a smile, eager to help, and committed to delivering exceptional service. Whether it was the boat rides by Sanju, pedal boating, yoga sessions, Spa mud therapy by Jibraan, or simply the friendly conversations, every experience felt authentic and memorable. The food at SALT was another highlight. Experiencing the fresh, locally sourced ingredients and authentic Mauritian spices was something truly unique. It wasn't just dining—it was discovering the culture of Mauritius through every meal (My fav. Mauritian chicken curry). By the end of our stay, it honestly didn't feel like we were leaving a hotel—it felt like we were saying goodbye to family. That's the kind of atmosphere you and your team have created, and it's something very rare to find. One of the finer boutique 5 star hotels in Mauritius.
We stayed there for 10 days hoping to have booked for at-least 14 days. Rishi is awesome, have any thing you want he gets its done!
The dining experience by Ved is fabulous as well as the staff. The hotel has a good beach will water activities accessible or any excursions can be arranged in a few moments by Rishi!
Enjoyed our stay throughout!

Fab 25th Wedding Anniversary
Fantastic holiday - everything we hoped for and much more. Fantastic location, great hotel, fantastic food but the biggest factor that made the whole holiday worth it was the unbelievable staff. From the reception to the chefs, waiters, bar staff etc.... - all genuinely wanted you to have the best time possible in a non intrusive way. Do the TEK TEK and the 5 Island boat trip. Enjoy the fab drinks at the Roof Top Bar (Bhavish is the top man)
