The complex is bordered by a perfect white beach and a lagoon that leads out to the wonderful warm waters of the ocean. There really aren't many more amazing holiday settings than this. The terraces of the junior suites at the Lux Belle Mare look out over the lagoon and gardens. Whether you look out and see the silvery moonlight reflecting in the still pool, or awake to the glimmering sheen of the sun-dappled water, this is heaven.
The facilities are exceptional too. All suites are air conditioned and come with satellite television, phone, minibar, safe, hairdryer, tea and coffee making facilities, and Wi-Fi internet access. We stayed here as a family of four with our 3-year-old and 6-month-old, and this hotel was absolutely perfect. It made travelling with young children so easy and stress-free.
The food was amazing. We actually ate at the buffet every evening because it was genuinely that good. Breakfasts were second to none, with beautiful fresh pastries, juices, and an incredible variety of options. There was plenty for the children too – and not a chip in sight!
The pool was perfect for little ones, as was the beach. One of our biggest decisions each day was whether to set up by the pool or by the sea. The water is shallow for quite a long way out, making it ideal and safe for young children to enjoy.
The staff were friendly, attentive, and always happy to help. A special thank you to the coffee station gentleman, who made my daughter's day by treating her to a chocolate and popcorn biscuit – she was delighted, and it was delicious!
Our family suite was spacious, comfortable, and very well maintained. Housekeeping did a fantastic job and kept everything spotless throughout our stay. The only minor issue was that on a couple of afternoons there was an unpleasant smell in the room, possibly sewage-related, although it passed fairly quickly.
Overall, we couldn't have asked for a better family holiday. We loved it so much that I think we'll be coming back every year. Thank you to everyone who made our stay so memorable (especially the coffee guy).
Lux Belle Mare was truly amazing. We will not be staying anywhere else in Mauritius from now on. We have a 1 bedroom family ocean villa and wow, it was exquisite. The pool is heated and the amenities are amazing. We had 2 butlers Mahen and Benji, on different shifts who were such a pleasure and made the trip even better. They helped us with our room service and booking all the restaurants, even our outdoor excursions ie horse riding, out trips to the temples- everything. We were truly spoilt. . My son wanted a volleyball and they got one for him to use during the entire trip. Words cannot express how amazing our vacation has been. Thank you to the hotel but especially Mahen and Benji and Girish was amazing aswell, as he served us at the beach.
Luv Belle Mare
We recently returned home from our lovely holiday in Mauritius. Having missed last year, it was a joy to return to the Lux Belle Mare and meet up again with the friendly and welcoming staff. Sheila and Jennifer were particularly welcoming and many of the staff remembered us from previous visits including Hema, Alisha, Flavia, Shishta, Rati, Hema and Babita.
As usual we enjoyed eating in all the various dining facilities available including the Mondo, Beach Rouge, Duck Laundry and most of all the Amari by Vineet where Roopesh and his team really did us proud.
We enjoyed spending our time walking along the beach, sunbathing and relaxing. The sea was also very welcoming as was the very large swimming pool. Various sea sports are available from the boat house and we went out in the class bottomed boat and the pedaloes. It was also great to get in some catamaran sailing with Dylan, as in previous years.
Another facility we enjoyed was the spa and sauna. We also benefitted from a welcome massage provide by Cynthia and her colleague whose name we can’t remember.
Over the years we’ve enjoyed holidays in various parts of the world but I think we are agreed that the Lux Belle Mare is our favourite destination. Thanks to all the staff who once again have made this experience so memorable.
Although we're writing with 2 year delay, that means something: we didn't forget! In other words, there isn't a day we don't think about LUX* Belle Mare and the beautiful Mauritius island. We promised ourself we'd be writing and we're sure that everything is even better and we're willing to visit again! It'd be our first choice without an eyeblink. Pity Mauritius is that far away. Alisha, Kamlesh, Anoorag, and all the cleaning, reception, gym, pool, bars, restaurants, entertainment staff - you made memories we'll never forget and we are truly thankful you all made our stay the BEST of our lives. We remember every single detail, conversation, surprise, and most important: your smiles. Warm hearted and smiley welcoming are simply unforgettable. About the room: enourmous, luxurious, super comfortable, felt like home. Immaculate cleaning and tidiness - congratulations. Food is more than amazing - any kind of variety you can think of you'll get! After, you'll have to go to the fantastic gym to burn some calories! Spa is another little gem inside the complex - find out for yourself. Private beach, beach front restaurant, icecreams, what can you imagine more? You'll find here. For instance, I decided not to attach photos or videos - those are our beautiful memories that we will carry for our lives - come here and make your own memories, you won't regret!
