If you're thinking of having a luxury holiday in a paradise destination, Hotel Riu Palace Maldivas is the ideal place for you. This all-inclusive resort in the Maldives is located on the private island of Kedhigandu and it offers an all-inclusive 24-hour service, free Wi-Fi throughout the hotel, a wide range of cuisines and many relaxation and entertainment options.
To help you enjoy your stay in maximum comfort, the Hotel Riu Palace Maldivas has Junior Suites located in various villas, as well as the exclusive overwater suites, some of which have small private pools. Its more than 150 rooms are equipped with minibars, drinks dispensers, kettles, air conditioning and satellite tv, among many other facilities.
The pool at this hotel in Kedhigandu is one of its most charming places, as it has stunning views of the sea with a swim-up bar and a chill-out zone. But, if you prefer the white sand and crystalline waters of your surroundings, the hotel offers you direct access to the beach that fringes Kedhigandu island so that you can relax on the sun loungers we have set up for you. We haven't forgotten about the little ones in the family: Hotel Riu Atoll has a children's pool and the RiuLand kids' club so that children can have fun too on holiday. They are located on the neighbouring island of Maafushi, which you can access by footbridge.
Hotel Riu Palace Maldivas offers a range of cuisines that will surprise you. The main restaurant serves buffet breakfasts, lunches and dinners with live cooking stations, and the Japanese and fusion cooking restaurants you can enjoy delicious à la carte dishes for dinner. You can also try the Italian restaurant and the steakhouse at Hotel Riu Atoll if you want to try something different.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
We stayed at the Riu Palace from the 8th–22nd August to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary, and from the moment we arrived we knew we had chosen somewhere truly special. We were greeted with the words “Welcome to paradise” — and it genuinely was. Our room, number 150, was a direct access beach room and absolutely perfect for us. Spacious, beautifully decorated, and modern, it offered everything we needed for a relaxing and luxurious stay. It was kept immaculate throughout our holiday thanks to Mohamed, who not only maintained the room to an exceptional standard but surprised us daily with stunning towel art and delicate leaf and flower decorations. These thoughtful touches made our stay feel even more wonderful. The resort itself is immaculate in every way. The décor is elegant, the grounds are pristine, the beach is stunning and every area is clearly cared for with pride. Riu Palace thoroughly deserves its 5 star rating — the quality is evident everywhere you look. The food was another highlight. Varied, plentiful, and consistently delicious, we were genuinely spoilt for choice each day. We visited all four à la carte restaurants — Fusion, Japanese, Steakhouse, and Italian. Each offered a fantastic dining experience, but the Italian restaurant was our favourite. As Palace guests, we also had access to the Atoll side, where the Steakhouse, Italian restaurant, gift shop, and all the parties are held. We attended a White Party there and found the Atoll side livelier, but we preferred the more chilled evening vibe at the Palace, with its brilliant DJ sets, singers, and live band every night. The staff made our stay unforgettable. On our first evening, we were warmly welcomed at the bar by Desy and Sanjay, and over the next two weeks we were looked after by many more wonderful people including Anu, Puja, Poonam, Chamod, Chamika, Samee, Dasun and others. Every member of staff (including supervisors and management) was friendly, polite, and genuinely interested in how we were enjoying our holiday. They greet you with a smile, ask about your day, and go above and beyond to make sure you have everything you need. Their kindness and professionalism truly elevates the entire experience. We had the most magical holiday at this stunning resort and cannot praise the service, staff, and atmosphere enough. We felt thoroughly spoilt from start to finish.
Thank you for everything — we would love to return in the future. Rachel & Steven

A fantastic experience in a truly heavenly place. It felt like living inside a dream.
In this magical place, I organized my marriage proposal. A special thank you to the manager, Ronald, and his colleague Mohamed for making this moment absolutely perfect.
And of course, a huge thank you to the entire hotel staff, who were always available, incredibly kind, and ready to accommodate every request.
A special thank you to Hussain, Chamoud, Daisy and her colleagues at the bar for always going the extra mile and taking such great care of us. Everyone at the Palm Restaurant, from the waiters to the chefs, was equally wonderful.
A special mention also goes to the guy in charge of the grill, whose name I unfortunately don’t remember, but who was always ready to accommodate our requests.
Our room was always spotless, with beautiful and creative bed decorations waiting for us every evening.
In the reef, I had the opportunity to encounter turtles, sharks, manta rays, and much more. Fortunately, the weather was always on our side.
I would recommend Riu Palace if you are looking for a more relaxing and exclusive stay, while Riu Atoll is a better choice if you are looking for more of a traditional resort/village experience. The sea is equally beautiful on both sides.
The buffet was varied and well stocked, and the selection of alcoholic drinks and cocktails was equally impressive.
A perfect experience that I hope to repeat in the future. This is a place that will always have a special place in my heart — because she said yes. ❤️
It was an amazing experience! We came to this hotel with my wife already 2nd time! The best in this hotel is RESTAURANTS, BARS and Beaches! Especially service!!! Main restaurant in Palace - cook Youmi is a real professional! Meat is better than in many Steakhouses! Waiters are super! Beach bar, pool bar and every person that we met was perfect and very nice and friendly! Food quality is great, alcohol quality is also great! Swimming is great! RIU Palace Maldivas is great!
The transfer handling is absurd. Be prepared to leave for the airport 10 hours before your flight - and to be told this only 6 hours beforehand. When I asked about paying extra for a seaplane, I was informed it had to be requested in advance, though their timing of notice leaves you no room to do so.
Staff kept insisting these are scheduled flights. If that's true, how is it possible that the transfer is only confirmed at 8pm the night before?
Last but not least: the phone line is one-way communication. Don't wait for the call they promise you. Keep calling and chase it yourself.
