Cocoon Maldives is the epitome of barefoot luxury. Guests are invited to enjoy a wide range of facilities throughout their stay. There are three restaurants offering diverse dining experiences. The Octopus Restaurant serves international buffet meals with live cooking stations, while Manta Restaurant offers à la carte fine dining in a romantic lagoon setting. For something unique, the Japanese Garden delivers authentic Japanese flavors in a rustic, tropical setting. There are also two bars: Loabi Loabi Pool Bar, perfect for social evenings, and Kurum-Bar, ideal for relaxed sunset drinks.
Guests can unwind by the resort’s outdoor swimming pool or indulge in treatments at The Spa, which features a sauna, steam room, outdoor spa tub, and a variety of therapies from around the world. The resort also offers a PADI-certified dive centre, a range of water sports, and a fully equipped indoor and outdoor gym. Daily activities include yoga, pilates, aqua aerobics, along with live entertainment and cultural shows.
Beach Villas offer stunning views of the ocean and come with a flat-screen TV, minibar, tea/coffee making facilities, sitting area, telephone, and complimentary Wi-Fi. The open-plan bathrooms feature a shower, WC with bidet, and double vanities, all within a stylish, air-conditioned space. For added indulgence, guests can upgrade to a Beach Suite with Plunge Pool or a Lagoon Suite with Jacuzzi.

The Cocoon Maldives is the epitome of paradise. The resort is a scenic, 30-minute seaplane journey from Velana International Airport in Male. The property lies on the island of Ookolhufinolhu and is surrounded by white sandy beaches.
Returning to Cocoon Maldives from 22 to 29 September was an absolute joy. It felt like coming home to a place that already holds a special place in our hearts. As returning guests, we arrived with high expectations, yet Cocoon surpassed them once again. This time, we brought four guests with us, hoping to give them a once-in-a-lifetime experience, and the resort exceeded every expectation, making our visit truly unforgettable.
From the moment we stepped onto the island, we were greeted with genuine hospitality and the attentive service that continues to draw us back. We had booked a Garden Villa and were delighted to receive a complimentary upgrade to a Lagoon Villa. This thoughtful surprise made our stay even more enjoyable, providing a beautiful setting in which to relax and spend precious time with our guests.
What continues to impress us most about Cocoon is the extraordinary attention to detail throughout the resort. Every corner was beautifully presented, impeccably clean and maintained to the highest standard. More importantly, the entire team made us feel valued and well looked after. Their professionalism and considerate approach were evident in every interaction, and nothing ever seemed too much trouble. Every request was handled promptly and with a genuine desire to make our stay as enjoyable as possible.
We would like to give a special mention to Issa, our phenomenal housekeeper, who was truly outstanding. Issa took excellent care of our villa and consistently demonstrated remarkable attention to detail and professionalism. It was always beautifully maintained, and Issa’s thoughtful service helped us feel comfortable throughout our stay. We are sincerely grateful for everything Issa did for us.
Dining was another highlight of our visit. The food was outstanding, with an impressive variety of beautifully prepared dishes and something delicious to look forward to at every meal. We are especially grateful to Anton, the head chef, and the entire kitchen team for creating such an enjoyable culinary experience. Their passion, creativity and attention to detail were evident in every dish.
We would also like to thank the restaurant manager, Sudika and our lovely waitress, whose attentiveness and friendly smile made every mealtime a pleasure. Sudika was consistently thoughtful and attentive, and her excellent service added greatly to our dining experience.
A heartfelt thank you goes to Effy, our concierge. She went far beyond what we could have hoped for, helping everything run smoothly from beginning to end. Her organisation, helpfulness and thoughtful attention to detail made a lasting impression on all of us. Effy made us feel very welcome and played an important role in making our stay so enjoyable. We are sincerely grateful for everything she did.
Anish, the resort manager, was also wonderful. He went above and beyond throughout our stay, showing genuine care and personal attention. His thoughtful approach made us feel highly valued, while his dedication reflected the very best of Cocoon’s hospitality. Anish’s support meant a great deal to us and contributed significantly to our visit.
As returning guests, we are delighted to say that Cocoon Maldives continues to feel like our favourite island escape. Sharing this beautiful resort with our four guests was a meaningful experience, and we are so pleased that their visit was everything we had hoped it would be. We are deeply grateful to the entire Cocoon team for helping us create memories that we will all treasure for years to come. We are already looking forward to returning to our beloved island paradise. 💓

Having never been to the Maldives before, we can't compare Cocoon to any other resorts but, having been there for our honeymoon in mid September, we're already planning to go back next year without considering another resort. I remember seeing one of their instagram posts that says 'Welcome home'. I get it now. Cocoon Maldives is roughly half hour sea plane journey from Male. That whole process is seamless as you're met at Male by resort reps, relieved of you luggage, taken to the lovely private lounge to wait for your departure, and then escorted to the plane. Arrival at the resort sets the tone for your stay; so friendly and welcoming. Everything about the resort is wonderful, but the one thing that makes your stay exceptional is the staff. They are what makes it feel like you're at home. Accommodation: We stayed in three different types of villa during our stay, a beach suite with pool initially because our water villa had an electrical fault, a water villa, and then another beach suite without pool because we preferred being on the beach and the resort kindly let us move. All the villas were lovely and had a simplistic elegance. The suites were larger, obviously, and having the pool was amazing. We used it far more than we thought we would. The water villa was a great experience but we just preferred being able to walk out straight onto the beach. The beach villas were surprisingly private, even when lying on the sunbeds at the end of beach entrance to our villas we hardly saw anyone and it felt like we had the entire beach to ourselves. The accommodation was kept spotlessly clean, special thanks to our cleaners Hamex and Issa who did a wonderful job. The island itself: Paradise. Soft white sand (though some of it is a bit rough, especially around the top end by Karum-bar), crystal clear lagoon waters, beautifully managed greenery and pathways, everywhere on the Island spotlessly clean. There's loads of sealife to discover, fish everywhere, rays, turtles and sharks. There's even more on the free boat to the house reef. Food and drink: So good. As vegetarians, we're always a little worried what options there might be but we needn't have worried at all. The selection was amazing and the quality of food exceptional. This goes for all the food, not just the veggie stuff. The staff, and in particular Chef Udaya, regularly checked we had enough veggie options and offered to make us other dishes if required (we never did require anything other than what was already on offer). Chef Udaya also made sure we had a wonderful vegetarian meal in the Manta restaurant. The Octopus restaurant is well laid out, the food beautifully presented, and the theme nights were superb. The staff are incredible, they get to know who you are, they are always smiling and friendly, and they just can't do enough for you. Special thanks to Ika, Diane and Raya who looked after us so well every meal time. Things to do: There's more than enough to keep you busy. When you're not busy just relaxing, there's obviously snorkelling, free activities such as paddle boarding and kayaking, free trips to the house reed, a gym and yoga studio as well as watching the surprisingly competitive staff football matches! Add to that the paid excursions and you'll never be bored. Pool area and bars: Always chilled out and friendly, wonderful places to relax and grab a cocktail. Karum-bar was generally very quiet and a lovely place to sit and do nothing. It felt like we'd discovered a tiny bar away from everywhere. Entertainment: Varied and fun, organised by the ever enthusiastic and energetic Akram. We loved the dou/trio local band that played live on several nghts. They were superb. Karaoke was a great laugh, Akram even managed to get myself and my wife up there once! The disco music later at night tends to be geared towards to large number of Russian guests and there were a few too many of those choreagraphed europop dances for my liking but, generally, we still had fun every night. Staff: I think I've made it clear that all the staff are what makes the place special. I haven't even mentioned those in the loabi-loabi bar, the ground staff etc. They're all brilliant. Our deciated Guest Manager, Effy, was also great and on hand to help us with everything we needed. Summary: We've been home three weeks and still haven't fully accepted the fact. We have a good life but are finding hard to adjust back to the real world after being at Cocoon Maldives. We are planning a trip back next year. I can't fault the place. There are far more expensive resorts in the Maldives and maybe you'll get more luxury, more exclusivity, etc, but pound for pound, I refuse to believe there will be better value than Cocoon and we cannot recommend it highly enough. Thank you to everyone there for making our honeymoon so special.

We had an absolutely amazing 9-night stay at Cocoon Maldives, and it was truly an unforgettable experience for our family! From the beautiful surroundings to the excellent hospitality, everything made our holiday special.
We spent 6 nights in a Beach Villa and 3 nights in a Lagoon Villa, and both rooms were absolutely perfect. Each villa offered a unique and beautiful experience, with comfort, luxury, and stunning surroundings. Our daughter loved both villas, which made our stay even more memorable. We couldn't have asked for a better place to relax and enjoy quality family time.
A special thank you to our wonderful island host, Migu, who made our stay even more enjoyable. He was always helpful, attentive, and ready to assist whenever we needed anything. No matter what our requests were, Migu was always there to help with a warm and friendly attitude. His excellent service and care made us feel truly welcomed and looked after throughout our stay.
Cocoon Maldives is the perfect destination for a relaxing family holiday, offering beautiful villas, a stunning island atmosphere, and outstanding hospitality. We created so many wonderful memories here, and leaving was genuinely difficult.
