This is a dream destination. We went foe our honeymoon and everything about our stay was delightful. Villa was very clean and well maintained. Clean swimming pools and a lot of delicious food! Everyone of our service staff was amazing and very kind and sweet! Food was absolutely stunning especially seafood. Duh! At the Air restaurant we like to name Joy and Hassan as really dedicated and hospitable hostesses. They made sure we get fast and reliable service and were present when we needed anything. We can’t wait to come back
Worst Maldives experience - avoid Coco Bodu Hithi
Stayed here 14-18 Sept with my wife and infant daughter for her first birthday. It turned into a nightmare instead of a celebration.
Cons:
Asked for odd-numbered room (told even rooms had noise issues), got even room anyway - view blocked, bright lights at night, no sleep. Fan made loud constant noise, AC broke down and took 4 hours to fix (and broke again same day). Room floor had dirt everywhere, bathroom smelled bad, lizard in the room, no slippers. Room service staff was rude, escalated small issues to host who then shouted at us. Restaurant refused table service for my wife and 1-year-old, said "self service only." Moved to beach villa for baby's birthday - full of mosquitoes, my daughter got bite marks on her face that are still visible. No actual beach view as promised, boats blocking everything. Birthday cake came very late (8 PM) and the "wine" they gave was just sparkling water. Staff refused to give us a bag to carry leftover cake at checkout. Overall staff behaviour felt biased - polite to foreign guests, rude and dismissive to us. Host Hajar was unresponsive when I explained all issues directly.
Pros:
Ms. Joy (restaurant manager) was very kind and helpful throughout. Mr. Jin and Ms. Kalpana at the dive center were professional and friendly.
Overall: Broken facilities, rude staff, and zero care when things went wrong - during what was supposed to be my baby's first birthday celebration. Would not recommend.
It was an unique and unforgettable experience. The location, the rooms, the ambience and the staff were amazing. Especially Ridwan, Joy and Akthar from the Air restaurant and our host Sadheen. The relaxing and aesthetic atmosphere created are really enjoyable experience. I would 100% recommend this hotel to anyone coming to the Maldives.
It was a very nice surprise for my wife It was a very special experience It was a very good resort and i want to thank everyone specially for MR. DHANA he was a good guy and very smile.
This was our first time to travel to the Maldives and we honestly don’t know how any other holiday will compare to our experience at Coco Bodu Hithi. It was everything we could imagine and more.
From the reception we received as we stepped off the boat until we left was amazing.
Dhana went above and beyond to accommodate us in anything we asked for, from booking our meals to organising our sunset cruise.
We couldn’t fault the meals, everything was so fresh and any adjustments we asked for our meals was not a problem with the chef’s.
Last but definitely not the least what made our holiday unforgettable, is the staff. We have never ever came across the most friendly group of people. Always greeted us with a smile and remembered our names. From our pool cleaner, room cleaner, massage therapists to the bar/restaurant staff. They went above and beyond for us. Amazing.
We will be back in the Maldives some day, and we will be staying at Coco Bodu Hithi.
