Sarıgerme, the place you can enjoy a relaxing taste of Turkey or for the more energetic there are activities galore. The L Hotel is situated a very short and convienient 16 km from Dalaman Airport. The Hotel is only 700m. from the local spectacular sandy beach with all the usual beach facilities and amenities. The sweeping golden sands of Sarıgerme beach are several kilometres long and approximately 100 m. wide with plenty of room for you to enjoy the carressing sounds from the sea, with the winds harmonising around you. The small local village is only 5-10 minute walk from the hotel, here you can find a selection of bars, restaurants, boutique shops etc. The hotel is very close to the ancient city of Phisilis as well as Telmessos and Caunos. The breeding region of the Caretta Caretta sea turtle is located close to the world famous İztuzu beach, where you can easily reach dozens of bays and beaches, as well as 65 km from Fethiye, 90 km from Marmaris, 35 km from Göcek and 25 km from Dalyan.
Relax on the private beach or enjoy other recreational amenities such as a steam room and a seasonal outdoor pool. Additional amenities at this hotel include complimentary wireless Internet access and concierge services.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
Really enjoyed our stay here , especially the swim up rooms . It had a lovely chilled atmosphere and the staff were so accommodating and friendly . Food was lovely too . We benefited from it being right next to a taxi rank and a wee local shop. It’s a 10 minute walk to the village and the beach . We really loved our stay here .
This was a very disappointing hotel. Very tired and unclean. We had no fridge in the room. Towels and bedding very tatty and looked dirty and marked. The bathroom had a leaky sink, the razor plug did not work, the toilet seat was badly marked along with the floor around the toilet. When the room was cleaned rubbish from the bin was left on the side and the bed not properly made up. The patio door sticked very badly. Breakfast was very poor and the area by the coffee machine was filthy along with chipped and grubby cups. On the Beach need to seriously look at promoting this hotel as a 5* it was a 2* at best.
We were booked into a swim up room for 1 week. First off although the hotel is not that old it is very tired. The bathrooms were not maintained and in need of a deep clean. The night we arrived the toilet didn’t flush and ran constantly. The girl on reception came and showed us how to fiddle with the flush to make it work and she would get someone in the morning to fix it. No one ever came to fix it. The aircon was not big enough for the size of the room, we were there in September I would not of liked to be there at the height of Summer. The tiles on our swim up area were hanging off and the pool in general was lacking a good clean. Never saw any staff cleaning the pool, there was a greasy scum mark right around it. We were given lots of towels and beach towels however again these were very tired and worn. The staff at the bar/restaurant were very pleasant and friendly and very attentive and the food was decent and good value as were the drinks. It would be a shame if nothing is done to maintain the hotel as it has the potential to be great. The atmosphere is very chilled and relaxing. It’s only about 30 mins from Dalaman airport, you can walk to either the town or beach in 10 mins so it’s a great location I really hope the sort it as I would return
This is the second year we have stayed here. Last year, we were very happy with our experience, but unfortunately, this year we were quite disappointed.
The towels were dirty and covered in hair, and they were not changed for an entire week. Our room was not cleaned either. The pool water was also dirty and had visible debris in it.
The breakfast was very limited, and there were even days when the plates were almost empty and there was very little food available.
It was a real disappointment compared to last year, especially since we had such a positive experience during our previous stay.
Travelled as family of 4 (2 adults / 2 teens) Positives: Great location - 5 minute walk to town and 8 minutes to the beach Beach has allocated sun loungers available at the beach although we learnt this by chance as we were not advised at check-in you need to ask at reception for wrist bands. Suitably low-key atmosphere at pool and pool bar which suits our preferred holiday but might not be for all. Swim up pool was lovely and the family room with bunk a good size and very well thought out storage compared with others we have stayed in. Pool bar drinks and snacks good quality and reasonably priced Pool bar and staff friendly and welcoming (shout out to Ali for bringing the energy on a daily basis) Plenty of sun beds available as and when needed
Negatives: Breakfast - we've travelled extensively across Europe at different hotel ratings and this was fairly poor even by 3* standards (hot plates don't keep food warm and very limited choice) plus milk for cereal not kept very cold. We stayed for 9 days and there was no variation. There was something to eat so you didn't go hungry but it didn't feel like a holiday treat. Towels - we didn't find fresh towels as forthcoming as we would like, sounds fussy but there is no pegs to hang up towels to dry after use so fresh towels are needed. There is a rack for swimsuits outside but with pool towels and shower towels there needs to either be more towels provided or a swap box somewhere for guests to help themselves as needed. Bathroom - good shower but rusty bin and toilet brush made it feel like it was lacking in cleanliness. Few quid spent would make a lot of difference. Reception staff - not terribly friendly or welcoming for the hospitality sector.
Overall we had a lovely time so would probably rate good 3.5 (not average or very good) but few very small changes could really make a difference.
