This was our second stay at Hilton Dalaman. We were there at the same time last year and didnt write a review then, as we wanted to see if the amazing service and standards would hold up consistently. Nearly a year later, the hotel delivered. The hotel and grounds are beautiful. The food is excellent throughout — the buffet, the a la carte restaurants, and the snack stations across the resort. Fresh gozleme and ice cream by the beach, lovely drinks, and plenty of choices for both adults and kids were a definite plus. Rooms and poolside service were great. Although this is an older property and a busy one, the hotel and amenities are well maintained. There is good availability of poolside spaces, with plenty of pools to choose from across the property. The kids facilities are a real highlight — water slides and a kids club right by the pool. It is the best kids club we have experienced at any Hilton, and we have stayed at Hiltons in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Qatar. What makes it great is not just the facilities but the staff, who are fantastic. There are lots of well thought out, creative activities for children, and our child loved it. For anyone travelling with children, this is definitely a recommended place — extremely welcoming and child friendly. The staff throughout were accommodating and friendly. A few people deserve a special mention. We took family swim lessons with our swim coach Tugce, who was amazing and comes highly recommended. Murat Bal at the main restaurant made our breakfast and dinner times so welcoming, attentive, and went out of his way each time to ensure excellent service — this is actually what prompted us to write this review. Mehmet Latif at the Vento snack bar was equally welcoming, with very good service throughout our stay. Overall, the rooms, facilities, and service, along with the staff, were top notch two years in a row.
The vacation was amazing. The staff were attentive. It was clean. The food was plentiful and diverse and very tasty and the facilities vast and so you never felt like everyone was on top of each other. The youth activities youngster club for 9 to 14-year-olds was a big kid with my niece and nephew and the Aqua fitness classes were and a big hit, along with the water polo and many other programs. Highly recommend.
Amazing hotel, staff wonderful, especially Ozer Gun and his team at the Vento smack bar, couldn't do enough for you, really friendly and helpful. Would definitely book again !
A wonderful hotel with lively, sophisticated atmosphere. A wide range of dining options with delicious, healthy, fresh food. Excellent. I loved the food. Great for families.
We were well looked after. Rooms were cleaned and serviced to a very high standard every day by Zibbet and team. Air-conditioning is good.
The pools were so much fun and my son and I enjoyed them a lot. I noticed that kids club ( aged up to 10 years didn't have much on. My son usually really enjoys going but for his age 8, options were disappointing- there was only video games or splashing party of 30 minutes ( the latter, a bit too young for him after 1 day). I don't want him on video games on holiday; we want a break from screens. Due to this, not many kids were there to be honest. Planned events for boys would have been better to engage that age group- examples: table football, air hockey tables, mini gym activities, crafts, art, dodge ball for example. Due to lack of kids club, I hung out with my son in pool most days, which was fine, just not what I'd or he had planned for.
That said, the daily club for teenagers ( Youngster Club ) was busy, lots of activities to engage and was busy. Air-conditioned.
But, believe me, this is a stunning hotel with good staff, excellent service and well worth a stay- you will have lots to do, super fun and you will be looked after very well. I will go back.
Overall, not a bad holiday, but it felt quite different from other 5-star resorts we’ve stayed at.
I travelled with my 8-year-old daughter and my biggest disappointment was the evening entertainment. It felt very heavily aimed towards adults, with things such as the White Party and beach DJs, rather than families with children around her age. The mini disco is also held separately at the kids’ club, which means that by the time it finishes, getting decent seats in the amphitheatre afterwards can be extremely difficult, if not impossible.
I was also disappointed with the sunbeds. They are very basic, with no cushions, and we regularly found it difficult to get beds at all. For a 5-star resort, I expected better in this area.
The buffet was perfectly adequate and there was plenty of choice, but personally I wasn’t blown away by the food.
There are, however, some genuinely excellent parts of the hotel. Our Lake House room was fantastic, the staff throughout the resort were great, the grounds are beautiful and extremely well maintained, and the lobby is lovely. The water park is also a very good size — enough to keep children entertained without it feeling like the whole holiday has to revolve around a water park.
For me, the main question is whether I would return. Looking ahead to travelling with a 9-year-old next year, I’m not sure I would. If three evenings out of a seven-night holiday effectively revolve around sitting and watching a DJ, there simply isn’t enough family-focused evening entertainment to tempt us back.
A good hotel with some excellent features, but for families with children who have grown beyond the very young kids’ club stage, I think the evening offering needs improvement.
