- The Blue Lagoon Deluxe Hotel

This welcoming hotel affords a charming location, surrounded by mountains in the beach resort of Oludeniz on Turkey's Mediterranean Coast, 12 km from the market town of Fethiye. A wide selection of shopping and entertainment venues are all located closeby and the beach is a short stroll, just 600m away, while the beautiful lagoon is just over a kilometre. The hotel has a modern style and the rooms are bright and tastefully decorated. The well-maintained grounds offer places to relax and lie by the pool or in the shade while the chic poolside bar is a popular venue for an aperitif or after dinner drink.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
My sister & I had our first ever holiday together - I'm 67 and my sister is 60 ! We chose Turkey and picked the Blue Lagoon Hotel. On arrival it looked lovely and have to say it had a fantastic pool & a lovely clean bar / breakfast area & plenty of loungers. The room was tucked away in a quiet area & there was a balcony with a little pretty garden behind it. This was on the ground floor which was a bonus. However we had a double bed 😮! Should of been twin beds but we managed. The bathroom smelt a bit drainy and there was never any hot water in the mornings 😕 That was a bit grim. Other guests could be noisy late at night returning to their rooms which disturbed us a few times. Mainly the English guests 😉 ! Housekeeping pretty poor. No delivery of toilet rolls when asked for ! Had to hunt for some !! No regular cleaning at all. We had a nasty ant invasion which they at first were quite flippant about. We had no wifi in the room whatsover which was so annoying. Had to go out by the pool to get online ! But after the ants the room was eventually cleaned & fresh bedding after some copious complaining. We enjoyed our continental breakfasts & the staff were attentive. The views were lovely, was a good location and shops, bars & restaurants were very close as was the beach. Not sure that I would stay there again but we had a very enjoyable holiday 😊 !
Stayed 4 times, but it just got worse. Most rooms ok, some with damp and black mold which is really bad for your lungs. But goerge simply shrugged and doesnt care. Too noisy. Nice pool. Staff ultta nice apart from george the manager. Who is an aggressive & cash obsessed . 1st sketch, i walked a long way to say hi & got an aggressive stare & ' what do you want ? Then stayed as only hotel available in aug 2025. Spilt a tiny bit off coffee and was cleaning it up ,and hes lecturing about a sourcer and shouting LOOK AT ME WHEN IM TALKING TO YOU in front of everyone. Like im a child and hes a strict head teacher. He wouldnt get away with that outside turkey.Glad i rose above it, i wouldnt have at home. Id like a spar with him. He should leave perhaps work in a prison.
For the price and location, isn’t too bad.. but my room wasn’t cleaned once and everytime I returned to it, it was in the exact state I left it. I had a terrace garden which literally stunk, the food was basic. The manager really got on my nerves, I have seen alot of reviews of people saying he only bothers to be nice and talk to you if you spend money on booze, it feels like white privilege and it had to have been the most disrespectful thing ever, if he wasn’t the manager I’d have set him straight. I didn’t even get a hello, or a how was your morning.. do not go here lol.
Swimmingpool area is ok, but rooms are terrible and if you don't like a cold shower, do not, I repeat: do not go to this hotel.
Stayed for 10 nights in an upgraded deluxe room. Only got paper cups in our room and on most days didn't get replaced. Most of the sunbeds are broken and witnessed people falling through them. Got impression that if you don't spend lots of money at the bar then you get ignored. Same food day in day out - be prepared for chips at breakfast (bizarre) and if are half board for some reason are not provided with a drink with your evening meal. I asked for small bottle water and got charged but with your breakfast you can have unlimited coffee and juice etc free so not sure why it's not the same with your evening meal. Won't be going back to this hotel in the future.
