This welcoming hotel affords a charming location, surrounded by mountains in the beach resort of Oludeniz on Turkey's Mediterranean Coast, 12 km from the market town of Fethiye. A wide selection of shopping and entertainment venues are all located closeby and the beach is a short stroll, just 600m away, while the beautiful lagoon is just over a kilometre. The hotel has a modern style and the rooms are bright and tastefully decorated. The well-maintained grounds offer places to relax and lie by the pool or in the shade while the chic poolside bar is a popular venue for an aperitif or after dinner drink.
Take advantage of recreation opportunities such as an outdoor pool or take in the view from a terrace and a garden. Additional features at this hotel include complimentary wireless Internet access and a television in a common area.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
My sister & I had our first ever holiday together - I'm 67 and my sister is 60 ! We chose Turkey and picked the Blue Lagoon Hotel. On arrival it looked lovely and have to say it had a fantastic pool & a lovely clean bar / breakfast area & plenty of loungers. The room was tucked away in a quiet area & there was a balcony with a little pretty garden behind it. This was on the ground floor which was a bonus. However we had a double bed 😮! Should of been twin beds but we managed. The bathroom smelt a bit drainy and there was never any hot water in the mornings 😕 That was a bit grim. Other guests could be noisy late at night returning to their rooms which disturbed us a few times. Mainly the English guests 😉 ! Housekeeping pretty poor. No delivery of toilet rolls when asked for ! Had to hunt for some !! No regular cleaning at all. We had a nasty ant invasion which they at first were quite flippant about. We had no wifi in the room whatsover which was so annoying. Had to go out by the pool to get online ! But after the ants the room was eventually cleaned & fresh bedding after some copious complaining. We enjoyed our continental breakfasts & the staff were attentive. The views were lovely, was a good location and shops, bars & restaurants were very close as was the beach. Not sure that I would stay there again but we had a very enjoyable holiday 😊 !
Stay was ok, food was good, staff was good. Pool was good. Nice little shop next to hotel which is handy. It sells alot of stuff you need. The rooms are quite small, I had a family room with 2 kids. There was a double bed, single bed and camp bed. Not ideal for two weeks having a camp bed. Did not like the stains on the side of beds and walls. Towels was replaced daily in room, they got a little clean every day. Topped up toilet rolls as well. Was on bottom floor so had trouble with ants, cleaners sprayed the room couple times. So no drama with the ants. Quiet bar at night, not many people staying at hotel seem to sit there at night. Would not stay here again but stay was ok. Close to main strip of bars and restaurants.
We had a fantastic holiday, lovely room, lovely people, the barman Urges (probably not spelt correctly) was lovely, a week full of sun laughs and memories, I cannot fault this hotel, I would recommend 😎
Today we leave Oludeniz after 7 nights staying at The Blue Lagoon Delux Hotel. I feel its important to share my experience at the hotel. I stayed here with my boyfriend, along with my best friend, her boyfriend & their 3 month old baby, her mum, his dad & girlfriend and his brother & girlfriend, so there was a few of us. It was nice to be in the same hotel, the cakes around the pool were lovely & the location is mint. However, we have had a few issues: No wifi in rooms There was £90 stolen from friends room over 3 seperate occasions, young family with 3 month old baby. When the manager was questioned about this, he shrugged and said theres a safe for £20 in reception. Didn't attempt to fix anything going forwards, as proven by the final theft from the cleaners on the last night. One of us paid for extended check out till 1700hrs, 1640hrs cleaners demanding they leave the room. Another of us paid for extended check out till 1500 & cleaners knocked on at 1230. These were on different days as we weren't all here for the full time myself & my boyfriend were. Strangely, chicken nuggets & onion rings for breakfast, which is apparently normal for Turkey. But there were no signs for what the food is, as someone with allergies this was not great & limited choice. We had our room cleaned once, we there for 7 nights. Our food and drink bills charged to rooms were incorrect, we had to go through them & remove several things from everyone as they werent ordered or had by us. Shower leaks, even though refurbished. There is no 'do not disturb' signs for the rooms. There is no information about the hotel, for the breakfast times, wifi info or what numbers to call on the phone for reception etc. My friend requested a ground floor room weeks ahead of stay due to 3 month old baby, they were on 1st floor, which was a nightmare. The manager is extremely cliquey, seems he only speaks to you if you spend lots of money & dont have any issues as we did. Safe to say we won't be returning & hope other people think twice about booking here. People will defend George & his hotel saying its great, however they have most likely been going for years & years so they've fell blind to the reality of this 'delux hotel'.
After a cancelled flight and changing of airport we finally arrived at our hotel. We had booked a deluxe room it was very clean and big and had plenty of space. The hotel throughout was spotlessly clean and the pool area was much needed every day George and his team were so attentive to making sure we had everything we needed, he is such a nice man and very pleasant. He has got a great team behind him.... I will definitely return. Great hotel, great food and stunning location....
