Have just had 12 nights at this hotel with no complaints at all, the hotel it’s self is well staffed at all times, the food is good with different choices every night and the place is kept spotlessly clean at all times, facilities are excellent and a special mention to the entertainment staff who are an absolute dream to spend a holiday with, couldn’t recommend enough, this is our 2nd holiday here and we will be back 5 star
entertainment is brilliant, all of the team are so friendly and always fun and amazing to talk to. the shows that they put on every night are phenomenal, such talent in a small group of people, very tricky choreography but they all perform so well . would 100% recommend
Just finished a fabulous two week holiday at Orka Sunlife. We had slightly upgraded rooms above the rooms with pools, although we looked straight out on to the side of another building; it’s worth requesting a better view, but the room was lovely, clean and comfortable. Great selection of food, and enjoyed the freshly cooked selection. I found the food put in the buffet pull up trays always cold and sometimes undercooked (we had frozen cauliflower with our roast dinner!). The pizzas and homemade wraps were great. Friendly staff. Great entertainment team - Kai really made our holiday and made us laugh everyday. Was disappointed when my daughter (10) wanted to join in the table tennis and was waiting right from the start, but was completely ignored by Victoria for 20 minutes and just walked away upset. When asked why she wasn’t even acknowledged - she just ‘smirked’ and said for adults first- which is fine but not to even acknowledge her was poor and put her off joining in other things. The others were much more approachable and inclusive. We used all the facilities- spa (worth a trip) as well as manicure, pedicure and hair wraps at good prices. Hassan was just fantastic, helped us with everything and our holiday would not have gone as well without him. He always went out of his way to help. We had some AMAZING trips via Hassan- speed boat, private beach, jeep safari, market and all of us went paragliding. Always found a good spot for a sunbed and good selection of drinks available. We booked via TUI and were under the impression we would get at least one à la carte each week but it had changed from the point we had booked to when we arrived and were disappointed not to have had that. Apparently you do get it with Easy Jet so worth checking. It says 5 star which it would be if you paid over the odds for better rooms but we already needed two and we paid more to upgrade. We experienced 4 star at best. There are other hotels that hit the 5 star mark without paying absolutely crazy money and we already spent £10k to get here, and would have liked a bit more for that. The TUI rep was pointless to be honest and a bit arogant and made some inappropriate comments about ‘women’ when I’m sat just there! When we approached him at the start of the holiday, we said that we had some questions and said ‘well it depends’ thinking he was being funny - really not. Some of the behaviour from the rest of the Brits wasn’t great- we were aware of 3 ‘spats’ between families that were fairly disruptive - hence my comment about not 5 star. The law in Turkey says that you can smoke anywhere outside, which we understand, but it would have been nice to have one non-smoking outdoor area to sit and eat. We have a family member recovering from aggressive cancer and the noise inside the restaurant is loud and just wanted to be able to enjoy a meal without someone blowing smoke all over it. The only time we saw guest relations was when they were dealing with one of the ‘spats’ but otherwise not open to helping in any other way. Luckily, Hassan spoke to him about the smoking (he just shrugged his shoulders to us) and got it sorted so that we could eat away from the smoke. Another big thanks to him. The music is loud around the pool, we enjoyed it, but if you are looking for a quieter experience then this isn’t necessarily the hotel for you - they don’t have a quieter pool that we’re were aware of or able to use like other hotels. The waterpark was really great, fab selection of slides for all ages. They are very strict on taking in any drinks even water. The water thing is unusual having been to other water parks across the world. The drinks are expensive just to give you a heads up. Overall, we had a lovely time and didn’t let these things ruin it and would recommend. We normally go to Antalya, Belek and Side but we much prefer this area, it’s absolutely lovely.
