This was our 2nd time at the montebello. The room has everything you need and the aircon was brilliant. The fridge was stocked well with water compared to our last visit last year and replenished daily. The cleaners did a great job and our room was lovely each day with fresh towels and toilet roll. We had asked every day since monday for a,late check out as we had a late flight but we got told to ask on the day we were leaving each time, and unfortunately they said it wasnt possible today. This was a bit of a downfall as we had asked in good time and the room itself still wasn't occupied when we left at 8.30pm. We were able to sit by the pool and store luggage and get changed. The spa was amazing. The food was better than last year. Our room was brilliant as it overlooked the pool and we could watch the entertainment from our balcony. We have loved our 10 days at the montebello this year just a,shame we couldnt keep the room past 12 noon as with a little one it would have been handy. The hotel manager was very present this year and kept checking in on guests which was nice.
Recently stayed a week at the montebello resort and to say it was the best holiday i have had is an understatement. The restaurant waiter "Musa" was very very helpful and kind, moving us to better seats and giving us our drinks and checking that everything is okay. The cleaners made sure the room was clean everyday and made the beds with nice designs! The animation team, especially Arthur are all very nice and energetic and there is a lot to do around the pool in the day, I especially liked the aqua aerobics but they also had stuff like water polo! The food was so good cannot fault it, there was an option for everyone and the food was always warm and flavourful. I specifically loved their salads. The hotel as a whole is very very very clean and the staff are all very nice. The views are brilliant and the hotel is a close walk to the strip and the beach. The animation team also do a beach party every Sunday which is very fun. The general manger Mahmet is the kindest man I have ever met. I will 100% be coming back and recommend this to anyone looking to holiday in Türkiye. The atmosphere is very good and the hotel quiets down at 11pm making it easy for people to sleep due to low noise levels. It is an amazing value for money as you get more than what you pay for! The atmosphere has a lot of partying vibes and the hotel has mainly turkish, english, german people and a few russians.
Sunloungers. Seem to be enough to go round. You don’t have to wake up at 7 am to get one. I don’t agree with reserving beds but there were still some free after breakfast at 10 am. Not bad for August! They are packed in but at least you get one. This was one of the reasons I booked this hotel after reading other reviews. The cushioning is plastic so you need 2 towels to stop your lower legs burning on the hot plastic. You don’t get given towels for sun loungers.
WiFi. Finally got wifi after not being able to connect for days and just using my roaming data. we asked at hotel reception and the receptionist had to put in a domain number into our browser. I think the hotel need to sort this out as we had to be trusting in this day and age that nothing untoward was happening. We have iPhones like most people.
Food. The food is nice. Very adequate. Breakfast has more or less everything you would want. To my delight HP sauce!
Lunch has a lovely fresh salad, pasta , chicken, salmon.
Bar snack time starts at 2.30 and has freshly made pizza, burgers and salad.
Dinner. Evening meal is served above the breakfast and lunch restaurant. There has been fajita night, burrito night and other specials for evening meal. Sunday you could make yourself a sort of Sunday roast as they had roast Turkey, veg and mash potato.
Evenings are nice. Entertainment is good. One night we paid £10 for bingo but I am wondering now if I shouldn’t have been charged as the second night it appeared to be free. So I am wondering if I was robbed?
The Bar shuts at 11 pm. But you can use the Bar that you have to pay for until 2 am. The sky Bar.
Bedrooms are a bit dated, but adequate and clean there is shampoo and conditioner in the shower. The air con works well but slightly noisy but you get used to it.
They only replace the towels and sheets every three days.
There is a little shop on site selling water pistols and basic toiletries and floats. Suncream quite expensive in this shop.
Key for room. You only get one key which is a bit of a pain. If you want another one, you’ve got to pay £20 for it. I think this is to stop you leaving the Electric on while you’re out of the room. So it means you can’t charge your phone, et cetera when you’re not in the room. And the air con isn’t running.
Two plug sockets in our room luckily I brought an extension cable with me . No USB ports in the plug socket.
Tea and coffee only has powdered milk when there is a fridge in the room. So I suppose you could buy your own milk from the shop. But would be nice to have milk even if UHT plastic containers.
You do get asked quite a lot to use their spa and have a treatment. They have obviously invested in the spa. My daughters and I did pay for the spa. £200. We had a nice massage and I also had a Turkish bath for the first time. They use a scratchy exfoliate cloth for the bath element which isn’t great if you have sunburn. I will upload a photo of the charges.
Staff are really nice. There is a trip to a beach party Blue Lagoon every Sunday which is worth it. Approx £9 each (under 13 free) you get a minibus down the road at 2.30pm and come back about 7pm. Foam party. It’s a good trip. It’s also a good business plan for the hotel as means for that time they are not supplying drinks and it’s income for the bar they take you to. It was worth it. There are decent toilet facilities there too.
The hotel had the right amount of staff to cater for the guests. No fighting over sunbeds no long queues at the bar.
All inclusive not as generous as other hotels but has all you need. Drinks are unbranded. Ice cream only available once a day but it was a budget friendly holiday so I am not complaining and it’s stopped the kids from over eating.
About. 10 min walk to the beach where there are lots of boat trips and paragliding offered.
We had a lovely time. Staff friendly and welcoming. I would return.
My family & I have just returned from a weeks holiday. We stayed in swim up room 3106. The room had everything we needed and was very comfortable. We were at the top end of the middle so in the shade for most of the day meaning the water is cold but when the weather is 34+ it’s nice!
The hotel was fantastic, the food options were plentiful & my fussy son tried something new every day. The cocktails a bit sickly for me but that’s down to personal taste.
What made the holiday for us was undoubtably the staff, absolutely fabulous!
The daytime and evening entertainment was fantastic and the whole place had such a good atmosphere and this is down to the staff.
I’m sorry if I spell some names wrong but to name a few - Emilie (five minutes), Arthur (Trouble), Bedo & April - the laughs and jokes between these lovely four and the guests was brilliant. Ursula on the bar and Suarip so hard and are constantly on the go! And of course Fred the photographer - amazing work and a lovely man!
I cannot thank them all enough for making our stay so good, a wonderful team lovely people!
I can see why people return year after year and we too will be back!
We love everything about Montebello and will definitely be back. The hotel is beautiful and in a great location - a short walk to the strip/beach, but far enough out to not feel the hustle/bustle. The all inclusive food is fantastic, so much choice and good quality. The entertainment/animation team are the absolute top/best factor - Edony(Emilie), Arthur and Bedo, such great ambassadors for the hotel. They give it 100% 24/7. From water aerobics at 1100, inflatables at 1400, water volleyball at 1530, pool/darts competitions and evening shows, they are fantastic and subsequently encourage everyone to get involved creating a great atmosphere and unity amongst guests - we've never met so many fabulous people in a single week. The massage facilities are brilliant. While peak spots round the pool are bagged early, most people grab the beds when they need them so can usually find a spot later in the morning. Can't recommend this hotel and its people enough.
