Enjoyable stay but hotel standards poor in some areas.
Location was good, close to bus stop to explore the areas. Buses ran every 7 minutes. Staff friendly and helpful but lacked knowledge of food allergies. Our swim up room was a little tired in areas, mainly the bathroom. But we had one of the better pools out of the 4 areas with swim up options. Cleaning of room on request, bed sheets changed once every 3 days, towels on request but not always adhered to. Atmosphere was friendly, with funny and friendly interaction from the entertainment staff and onsite photographer Fred. Noise levels were ok, entertainment only on until about 22:30. Day time entertainment of aqua aerobics and pool polo in the main pool which guests seemed to enjoy. All inclusive options on the bar were small, cocktails very sweet, only one beer/lager option and very few spirit options. There is another bar for those wanting to pay for drinks but this was always empty. Food was much the same all week. With very little options for food allergies. I struggled with gluten free options, I dread to think how someone with a nut allergy would get on. No clear labelling of food. Tried to book late check out and get getting told ask the next day, no one seemed to know what to do. Then we were not able to book late check out day before as room allocation has already been set even though we had been asking all week. Only one set of toilets in the communal areas, so these were also used by those using the pool and were always slippy, wet and dirty. We had a lovely week exploring the area but would not stay here again. Lack of food allergy options and general standards of the hotel would stop us from using it again.
Famtastic
Have just had my first solo holiday at Montibello resort. Staff are amazing. The animation team are out of this world. They encourage you to join in and took time out of their day to come and talk to me and encourage me to join in activities. The whole resort is very clean. Food has been really good. Will 100% visit again
Brilliant
Me and my boyfriend went with easy jet and it was amazing. The location is brilliant the beach is a less than 10 minute walk from the hotel and there’s lots of activities to do it the area in which we did the paragliding which was beautiful. The pool with the palm trees in the photos was only for swim up rooms however the other main pool was more then big enough with many activities going on in it throughout the day such as water polo and obstacle courses. Every night they had dances for children to do at about 9 o’clock however one of the days they had Latin dancers which was amazing to watch. On Sundays there’s the opportunity to go to a beach party at the blue lagoon which is brilliant. The food was great as-well with a wide range of options and even daily soups which I loved. Every worker we spoke to was extremely friendly and they even had a selection of cocktails without having to upgrade to the sky bar. The room was nice and had really good AC, we were on the top floor and the view from the balcony of the pool was gorgeous and it was useful that we could hang wet clothing items out there each night to dry.
Montebello resort
Spent a week here, food was decent, have a good selection so something for everyone, cocktails were strong but had lots to choose from and were still nice. Facilities were loverly and the animation team was brilliant. They held lots of pool activities and offer a trip every Sunday to the blue lagoon for a beach party which was amazing. Also just under a 10 minute walk to a beautiful beach so can’t complain. Would recommend 👍
The hotel
It's a very nice hotel, a perfect family hotel. The food is very good, you can always find something to eat. The staff are very kind, everyone is very nice. The rooms are clean, it's a very nice hotel, I recommend it to everyone.
