My husband and I have just returned from 12 nights at Hotel Greenland, and overall we had a lovely, chilled and relaxing time. The food was nice, with lots of variety. I didn’t catch the name of the omelette guy, but he was lovely and made delicious omelettes exactly how you wanted them every day. The restaurant staff were also very friendly and efficient.
The bar staff were fantastic — super polite and always friendly. The reception staff were lovely too.
The daytime entertainment was quite repetitive. There were darts or table tennis every morning, followed by water polo and volleyball every afternoon. I asked if they could do aqua aerobics, which they did, but unfortunately only twice during our 12-day stay. Berek, the activities guy, didn’t really make much effort with us and seemed to spend most of his time with the larger groups and the same guests throughout the holiday.
The evening entertainment, however, was very good. We enjoyed the singers, acrobats, karaoke and bingo. Although we didn’t have children with us, some families mentioned that the children’s disco was very repetitive, with exactly the same songs played every night on a loop!
The rooms are quite dated and could definitely do with a lick of paint, but the housekeeping staff were absolutely amazing. Nothing was too much trouble, and they worked so hard to keep everything clean and tidy.
Would I go back? Yes, definitely! Despite a few little things, we had a fantastic, relaxing holiday and would happily return to Hotel Greenland.
Absolutely fantastic bar staff and service! Everyone was so friendly, welcoming and attentive, and they really went above and beyond to make our experience special. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and the service was consistently excellent throughout our stay.
A special shout-out to Cem, Omar and the Bar Manager, who were all amazing. Their friendly personalities, hard work and fantastic customer service really stood out and helped make our holiday even more enjoyable. Thank you all for everything — you are a real credit to the place. Highly recommended!
Had a fab time. Had been before about 15 years ago before my Son was born. Decided to return this year with my Ten year old Son. We both had an amazing time. Charlie made lots of friends, And the staff was so lovely to him, Especially Ommer, The staff was lovely, Hassan was very funny on the mic during shows etc. Lots of games to join in during the day like Darts, Volleyball, and water football. My two small gripes was the bed was uncomfy, and the entertainments guy Berak, he just didnt seem to build up a rapport with me like he did others. He showed me kindness, but i just didnt get the banter and fun with him that the other guests got which was a shame as i love all that on holidays, bants with the staff, but with that said, he greeted us daily and was nice to my son, He just didnt sit with us or lark about with me like he did others. I suppose we cant all be best pals so its all good. x The Entertainment of a night...well, 2 nights was really good singers that had everyone up singing and dancing, they were brill, was amazing nights, The guests were all so lovely and I made some life long friends for sure.i dont usually return to the same hotel twice, but once my options all run out, i would definitely consider Greenland for a third time.. :)
We stayed at Hotel Greenland as a family of five, with our children aged 4, 10 and 12, and overall we had a lovely holiday.
The hotel itself is really nice and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Our room was spacious, although the rooms are a little outdated. This didn’t really bother us though, as we were hardly ever in the room!
The food was probably the biggest mixed point for us. I personally wasn’t a huge fan of the food, although my husband really enjoyed it. I do think there could have been more choice for children, especially as it’s a family hotel.
We also weren’t particularly impressed with the entertainment. There were things on, but we didn’t find it very good and the children's entertainment in the evening was very very repetitive.
One thing to be aware of is the hill between the larger pool and the top pool. It is very steep, and even I struggled walking up it, so I wouldn’t say the hotel would be particularly suitable for anyone with mobility difficulties or disabilities.
The location was another downside for us. I personally like being able to walk out of a hotel and have shops or places nearby, but there really isn’t much around the hotel. You can easily get taxis though. We went to Fethiye Market, which was around 10 minutes away and cost us approximately 500 Turkish Lira in a taxi. We also visited the Blue Lagoon Beach, which was roughly the same distance and cost.
As our flight home was at 10:55pm, we paid £30 to keep our room until 6:30pm on the day of departure, which was really useful and definitely worth considering if you have a late flight.
One little warning: you only get one room key card when you arrive, and if you lose it, there is a £5 charge.
Overall, we enjoyed our family holiday at Hotel Greenland. It’s not perfect and there are definitely a few areas that could be improved, particularly the food choice for children, entertainment and accessibility, but the friendly staff, spacious rooms and lovely hotel facilities made it a good holiday for our family.
Just back from an amazing week at the Greeland hotel. The staff were all amazing. Lots of stuff for the kids, water polo, the slide was great. The 4pm ice creams were yummy. The pancake ladies were great. The food was really good. Various options and lots of variety. The drinks could have been better. Basic cocktails, if you want a strawberry daqari you have to pay. That said vodka and beer os decent. Town is a 10 min cab and only about £6. Highly recommend a boat trip. The shuttle to the beach is also good. Clean towels daily from reception for the pool. Some great entertainment at night. The African singers were amazing and we all got up dancing. So the bad points.... the rooms are small and very dated. An upgrade is desperately needed. The gym is very basic, could do with some mats, more equipment and needs a good referb. No water aerobics during the day. Very hilly so if you struggle with mobility could be an issue but me and the family had no issues. Hairdryers in some rooms are the old school hotel ones, slow and warm. Cocktails could be better. The hotel shop is a tad pricey. The petrol garage is reasonable. All in all we had a great week. Staff were so lovely and always so helpful. Just needs a good referb and update
