This hotel enjoys an idyllic setting in the popular hilltop resort of Hisaronu, between Fethiye and Oludeniz. The Babadag mountain range provides a spectacular backdrop to guests' stay. It is some 3 kms to the centre of Hisaronu, where guests will find restaurants, bars and shops and Oludeniz and its shingle beach is some 8 kms away. It is a 10-minute drive to Fethiye and Dalaman Airport is about 75 kms from the hotel. This attractive, modern, family-friendly hotel comprises a total of 48 rooms including 2 family rooms. Facilities on offer to guests include an indoor and outdoor restaurant. The indoor and outdoor restaurants serve Turkish and European cuisine. Parents will be happy to know that the hotel has a playground.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
Family run Hotel, owners and staff were vey helpfull and accomidating. Good food, service and spotlessly clean. Lovely rooms, we would definately return.
Our recent 10 day stay at the Celay Hotel was overall, pleasant and the staff were extremely friendly and welcoming.
However we do have a number of issues we feel are worth raising, both for the hotel and future guests.
On arrival we were asked to pay an additional charge for the air conditioning and the safety deposit box. We would have exspected these basic facilities to be included in the room rate, particularly as we booked a Deluxe Double Room.
Unfortunately, the room itself did not meet our expectations. We were expecting a large, comfortable double bed but we’re instead given 2 single beds with extremely hard. We also found the room had a damp, musty smell and very little ventilation. The toilet seat was heavily stained and not what you would expect as a room advertised as deluxe.
We choose the half- board option with breakfast and evening meal included.
The breakfast selection was extremely disappointing. Every morning was essentially the same, boiled eggs, bread and jam, cheese and cereal. If you wanted fried, poached or scrambled eggs your were charged the price on the bar menu. For a hotel offering half board we felt this was particularly poor.
The evening meals were no better. Starters generally consisted of homemade soup, stuffed vine leafs or cheese breadsticks. The main courses were often very basic with offerings of turkey dinosaurs or a dry square of lasagna, accompanied by chips, rice and salad. Dessert was generally limited to cold banana or chocolate Angel Delight.
It also felt that the limited half board menu was designed to encourage guests to purchase food from the hotels main restaurant menu at an additional charge. Unfortunately, in our experience, the quality of that food was not significantly any better than what we were provided as part of the half board package.
The hotels location is also worth considering when booking as it is relatively isolated, with little interest in the immediate vicinity, and the beach was around a 45 bus journey away. This was not necessarily a problem for us and did not prevent us from having a quite and enjoyable holiday but future guest should be aware of it.
Overall, this is a basic, no frills budget complex. Our main concerns were that the room and half board experience did not match the Double Deluxe Room and half board descriptions. Improvements to room standards and food quality would make a significant different to guest experience staying here.
Highly recommend the Celay hotel found the hotel to be very Clean The hotel staff where very helpful and friendly at all times would definitely recommend anyone to stay here Great swimming pool and food was fabulous no issues at all Value for Money was great Would definitely recommend this hotel would stay there again 100% Looking forward to going back next year
I have stayed at Celay Hotel several times. However this time I had a unexpected solo trip which was not planned and I had never done a solo trip before. The staff were very understanding to my situation and made me feel safe and welcome.
The hotel it excellent, in a lovely quiet area, my room was cleaned daily, the pool was great, no issues getting a sunbed and the food was also great. The staff are amazing and really make this a special place. I will definitely be back soon and would happily do a solo trip here again. Tracy 🥰
