Belcekum Beach Hotel

Ölüdeniz is a place you want to return to. It is a place "where a sense of freedom hangs in the air" both literally and figuratively. This was our second visit to Ölüdeniz, and this time we chose the Belcekum Hotel.

The hotel is cozy, with a friendly atmosphere , with a good location in a first line. It is just a two-minute walk to the beach and yor are in the amazing, beautiful sea.

Shezlong , umbrellas, and towels are free of guests. I recommend bringing water shoes for a comfortable entry into the sea.

The food at the restaurant was delicious. You always can find something what you like. A very comfortable outdoor terrace with pleasant music. There was fish, grilled meat, and many varient of fruit (we visited during peach, apricot, and watermelon season), turkish flatbreads. A big thanks to all the chefs. We enjoyed pistachio ice cream every day!!))

Three times a week there were a professional evening show. We saw acrobats, a fire show, and the Saturday "Turkish Night." The Turkish Night was absolutely outstanding! The chefs not only cook well but also dance with great energy! Bravo!

A big thank you to the entire staff. Check-in was quick, the cleaning was good, and the mattresses were comfortable. The reception team was always ready to help.

We are seasoned travelers who see a lot in Europe and Asia, but Ölüdeniz and Belcekum have left a lasting impression for us. We will definitely be back.

Very Disappointing Experience Due to Poor Management and Unprofessional Behaviour

I stayed at Belcekum Beach Hotel, Fethiye with my family from 27 July to 30 July 2026 after booking two rooms. Unfortunately, our stay got off to a very poor start because of the way we were treated at check-in.

We arrived around 9:00 PM after a long drive. One room was for my wife and me, and the other was for our children. The person at reception, Mr. ISIK, who introduced himself as the manager, assigned our rooms on different floors. I politely explained that the second room was for our children and requested rooms on the same floor or at least close together. Instead of trying to help or checking whether another arrangement was possible, I was simply told that I would have to manage.

I had also injured my leg the day before arriving and asked whether the hotel had a lift. Surprisingly, he replied that he did not know because he had never moved from the reception area. I found it unbelievable that someone identifying himself as the manager could not answer such a basic question about the hotel’s facilities.

The problems continued when we entered our children’s room. The door lock was defective and could not be locked properly. I called reception, and a technician was sent to repair it. A room with a faulty lock should never be allocated to guests in the first place.

The repair took approximately 45 minutes, during which the room door remained open. As a result, many mosquitoes entered the room. When I asked if mosquito spray was available, I was told there wasn’t any.

The most disappointing part of the experience was Mr. ISIK’s attitude. Rather than apologising for the inconvenience or trying to resolve the situation professionally, he told me that I could either leave the door open all night or leave the hotel and find another one. This was despite the fact that I had already paid in advance for all three nights.

Hospitality is not only about rooms and facilities—it is also about how guests are treated when problems arise. Unfortunately, the lack of professionalism, empathy, and basic customer service shown during our check-in left a very negative impression.

I also have video recordings showing the technician repairing the faulty lock, documenting how long the repair took.

I hope the hotel’s senior management reviews this incident seriously and takes appropriate action to improve guest service and quality control. I cannot recommend this hotel based on my experience.
