Oasis Hotel and Apartments

Nice little hotel for the money you pay, great location, friendly bar/pool staff, very clean, nice food and good size pool. 5 minute walk to the beach. Basic breakfast but was ok. Only downside was the double room was quite small and not much storage space. Yes you can hear music at night but you’re staying in the centre of Marmaris not up a mountain!! Please use local tour shops for excursions etc, there’s a nice chap over the road who also rents bikes/scooters he is very reasonable & friendly but the guy who came and met us at the hotel the morning after we arrived charged me over £320 for 3 trips which I could have got for over half that had I of known, please bear this in mind!!! Other than that issue we had a nice 10 days spent at the Oasis hotel

Let me start by saying that the service staff in the hotel are fantastic. As its a small place, the bar staff will make sure they know your name and will go out of their way to assist. They all speak basic English and are very friendly and helpful.

We were given a leaflet when we arrived with the tour operator / rep details at 2.30am. Didn't think much of it but was then woken in the morning by the rep on the phone asking if we were attending his meeting for tours. Absoulte liberty after arriving in the small hours we expected to be left alone to sleep in. We pulled the phone cable out of the wall after that.

The room was small. Too small for 3 people. Not enough clothing storage for those 3 people (7 hangers, 3 small drawers ? ) and nowhere to store luggage. We spent 10 days with the luggage taking up much of the corridor space of which there isn't much to begin with. Bathroom is tiny. Ive bumped elbows trying to turn around in there.

Reception staff ,Couldn't have been less helpful if they tried. Ive stayed in a lot of hotels in my time but have to say that I was far from impressed with this team in general.

I asked for an extra key card for my room as I had 3 people in one room. Was told in a long winded way that I would have to pay. I didnt mind this and said ok. No problem. I need a key. How much. Only to be told, No. You can't have one.

I also had an issue with the smell of cigarette smoke in my room. Reception staff shrugged their shoulders. Nothing we can do. This is Turkey. Funny that. Ive stayed in Turkey before and this seems more of your problem than a Turkey problem. But apparently, according to reception, it was MY problem.

Another incident when I wanted to pay for late checkout. Stood there at the reception desk being ignored for 5 minutes. Even after paying. They still didn't unlock my card until 7pm so I ended up being locked out of my room after paying the extra. So had to visit reception again. Couldn't help thinking that they didn't have any time for me because I was English.

Wouldn't return due to the incompetence and unwilling nature of the Reception staff service during my stay. I felt like everything I asked for was too much trouble and I was an inconvenience. Im guessing the turkish visitors are much better looked after.

Also. The jet2 rep is an idiot.

A great friendly hotel, rooms are a good standard and cleaned every day, the staff could not do enough for you, very cheerful and pleasant, the bar staff very friendly and asking if you need anything, bar food menu has good range and at a great price, the hotel is in the middle of Marmaris holiday resort, with plenty of bars, shops and restaurants on the doorstep, beach only, 5 minutes walk, but has a very nice clean swimming pool with plenty of sunbeds, would recommend to all😎
