The hotel enjoys a superb location surrounded by pine forests, overlooking the Bay of Marmaris. The resort of Icmeler is approximately 2 km away while its bigger sister, Marmaris, is 6 km away. Both are easily reached by public transport which runs from the main road in front of the hotel. Marmaris Castle and marina is some 5 km away. Rhodes is accessible by ferry in some 45 minutes. The hotel is set in large, pine tree forest grounds and has its own sandy beach and pier. The accommodation consists of a main building and villa-style blocks in the gardens. Guests have access to many wonderful amenities, including the Arcadia Spa, a 330m long private beach, sun-bathing platforms and lush gardens with opportunities to stretch out on a hammock under the trees. (Some facilities may not be open year round due to weather seasonal conditions).
Pamper yourself with a visit to the spa, which offers massages and facials. Water lovers can head down to the private beach, or take a dip in one of the 2 indoor and 2 outdoor swimming pools. Additional amenities at this hotel include complimentary wireless Internet access, concierge services and supervised childcare.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
I have just returned from my holiday at the Grand Yazıcı Thermal Club Hotel, and although I am sad that my vacation has come to an end, I can honestly say that I had a wonderful stay.
The hotel is beautifully located in a pine forest, surrounded by lush greenery, colorful flowers, and even fruit trees such as banana, orange, lime, and pomegranate trees. The entire resort feels peaceful, vibrant, and very well maintained.
The food was excellent. There was a wide variety of dishes, especially at dinner, and the desserts were absolutely delicious. Breakfast was a little less varied, but still offered enough choices for everyone. The restaurant was always clean and spacious, and the staff were friendly without being overly attentive.
One of the things that impressed me most was the sandwich bar, which is open from midnight until 6:00 a.m. This is a fantastic service for guests arriving late at night. Fresh sandwiches, soup, and hot tea are available, so nobody has to go to bed hungry. I have stayed in many hotels and have never seen anything quite like this. There is also a 24-hour beach bar serving drinks, which gives the impression that the hotel never sleeps. 😊
Cleanliness throughout the resort deserves special praise. Rooms are cleaned daily, and even the walkways are regularly washed. There is always something happening, so it is impossible to get bored. Guests can enjoy snack bars, coffee and cakes, live performances in the amphitheater, and evening entertainment at the beach bar.
The hotel feels very safe and secure, with security staff at the entrance ensuring that only guests have access to the property. Another highlight is the excellent selection of à la carte restaurants. The Turkish cuisine was simply outstanding. I thought I had already experienced the best Turkish food, but this hotel pleasantly surprised me. Everything we tried was delicious.
If I had to point out one downside, it would be the lack of designated smoking areas. Unfortunately, guests smoke almost everywhere: around the pools, at the outdoor café, snack bars, beach areas, and even in outdoor restaurant sections. As a non-smoker, it can be difficult to find a place to sit and enjoy the fresh air without being surrounded by cigarette smoke, especially when children are nearby.
I would also like to mention one issue regarding housekeeping. The cleaning staff work very hard and do an excellent job, which I truly appreciate. However, there were several occasions when they entered the room without knocking. On the day of our departure, despite check-out being at 12:00 p.m., a housekeeper entered our room at around 10:00 a.m. intending to start cleaning. Similar situations occurred during our stay. Even when the “Do Not Disturb” sign was displayed, it did not always seem to be respected. While I fully understand that housekeeping staff have a schedule to follow, guests’ privacy should also be respected.
Despite these minor concerns, my overall experience was excellent. The thermal pools with their warm water were another fantastic feature and added something truly special to the stay.
Overall, I highly recommend the Grand Yazıcı Thermal Club Hotel. In my opinion, it is one of the best hotels in Marmaris. If I ever return to Marmaris, this hotel will definitely be my first choice.❤️
Loved this hotel . We had a room that was up top end of the grounds it was a walk up hill I struggled with asthma so found it a bit hard due to the heat . We asked if we could change rooms it was no problem to the staff they were brilliant our room in b block was lovely. It’s the only time on holiday I’ve got to the beach around 10 am usually I am there for 8 am but having breakfast going coffee shop just chilling . Beach was amazing beach bar staff were brilliant looked after us . Food was very nice . There’s a quiet bar we’re all your drinks are in crystal glasses that was great . Hotel is immaculate . Staff are so good .
Best thing was the beachfront location. Hotel has its own private beach with a beach bar. For our liking there were too many small kids but didn't realise it was still Turkish school holidays. Tried not to rate down for this. I didn't see many activities for kids though. I've stayed in some all inclusive hotels where kids seem to go to kids clubs or craft classes in the day to give the parents a break, or they have separate kids pools and areas for children. There wasnt much streaming or separation of kids and adults here and I was constantly reminded I felt a bit out of place as it was so family orientated.
The hotel is enormous and very spread out, but I have had better food in other beachfront hotels for no extra money. The bar service was fast however and all the bar staff very friendly. The breakfast was repetitive and choice not huge. Lunchtime meal options were not executed well and came with dry fries, prepared by staff who looked like they had only just left school and didn't seem to have any interest in the food they were serving. Evening meals were often bland without condiments, and the salads had no dressings to put on them. Desserts were the same every day. There was a patisserie there but the sweets were very bland. Al a carte restaurant was the only fantastic food - shame you could only book once. I think the food was more aimed at children and families rather than fussy adult foodies looking for richer, fresher more flavoursome food.
Third time at this hotel. Absolutely fantastic again. Food great drinks great. Most of all the staff are amazing. We emailed hotel and got the room we wanted. Clean and everything you need. Great atmosphere. Entertainment was great . Location was perfect
Awful hotel! Stay clear. Staff rude, kids locked in the room, staff deliberately turning internet on/off by pool area, asked for a cloth to wipe an area I ate nuts in and was shouted at and told no, the list goes on. Made an official complaint through looveholidays and after first response and the hotel making up lies, they sided with the hotel, after taking next steps, loveholidays resolved quickly and have been offered a compensation for the hotel and additionally a voucher to rebook another holiday.
