I rarely leave negative reviews because I'm not a picky traveller, but unfortunately this stay was one problem after another.

We booked a twin room online, but when we arrived we were given a room with a double bed. I explained that I was travelling with a friend and we needed separate beds. We had to wait until the following day before we could move rooms.

When we were shown the new room, we were asked if it was okay. We said yes because it had two beds, and that's all we wanted—we just wanted somewhere to rest our heads. However, after being in the room for less than two hours, we returned to find the entrance flooded with water due to a badly leaking air-conditioning unit. We reported it to reception, who said they would send someone. We spent over four hours by the pool before returning, by which time it appeared to have been sorted.

The following day we came back from the pool to find we had no electricity. We needed to charge our phones, so we ended up sitting in reception for hours while waiting for the issue to be fixed. Reception told us twice that the power had been restored, but each time we went back to the room it still wasn't working. On the third occasion, a member of staff came to the room with me and discovered that the fridge was tripping the electrics. He unplugged it and said we'd receive a replacement fridge the next day, but one never arrived.

Our room also wasn't cleaned for two days. We had been using one of our towels to soak up the water from the leaking air-conditioning, so by then we were in need of fresh towels.

To top it all off, on our last day I realised I'd left my Samsung Buds and a ring in the original room we were first assigned. I asked at reception whether anything had been handed in, but I was simply told "no" and that was the end of the conversation.

I travel a lot and have stayed in many hotels, and I've genuinely never felt the need to leave a bad review before. I'm not someone who complains over small issues, but the number of problems during this stay was unacceptable. I hope the hotel addresses these issues so future guests don't have the same experience.

I had a wonderful stay at the Sunshine Hotel Resort in Ovacik, Oludeniz. The hotel is in a beautiful location, with stunning mountain views and easy access to the lovely beach, making it the perfect place to relax and enjoy the scenery. The staff were all friendly and welcoming, but I would especially like to thank Savas and Ahmet from the restaurant. They were incredibly helpful, attentive, and always greeted me with a smile. Their kindness and excellent service made my stay feel extra special, and they are a real credit to the hotel. The atmosphere throughout the resort was warm and relaxing, and I thoroughly enjoyed my holiday. I would happily recommend the Sunshine Hotel Resort to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway with beautiful surroundings and exceptional hospitality. I hope to return again in the future! Pammyrose
