We recently enjoyed a 10 night stay at the Ocean Blue Hotel.
We had a lovely, spacious room for 3 overlooking the main pool.
The cleaning staff work tirelessly to keep the rooms clean, changing towels daily, and keeping the communal areas of the hotels spotless.
There are 3 pools - the main pool and two smaller pools at the back. Even though some people decided to put towels on sunbeds (I never do this as I personally think it’s a ridiculously selfish practice), we always found beds for the 3 of us no matter what the time of day. There is a lovely sunbathing area with super comfy beds above the pool bar also which was underused and we loved it up there.
The breakfast was varied daily with hot options including egg dishes to order (pancakes, omelettes, poached eggs) and continental options. I really enjoyed the restaurant setting, with a lovely, large covered terrace overlooking the village.
The pool bar offers a large selection of cocktails and a wide variety on their food menu at reasonable prices.
The location is absolutely perfect for walking into Hisaronu itself, just on the edge, so super close to everything (literally a 2-3 minute walk to the main road) but without any noise at night time - ideal.
The staff in this hotel are absolutely superb, without exception. Incredibly helpful and friendly and you are made to feel very welcome. They truly go the extra mile - for one example, when we were leaving, a member of staff appeared with a case weigher for everyone to use and wheeling a mobile air conditioning unit into the seating area, to make sure everyone was comfortable.
Would 100% recommend this hotel and would return in a heartbeat.
Thank you for a wonderful stay.
This is our 3rd stay at the ocean blue and once again we wasn’t disappointed. On arrival we were meet by a porter who carried our cases to our room. The room itself was spacious with a lovely king size bed, fresh linen and towels were supplied daily by the lovely cleaning ladies. Breakfast was okay plenty of fresh fruits, Cheese, eggs and salad everything you would expect from a continental breakfast. All of the staff are friendly and helpful but a special shout out to Oscar and Aguero for going that extra mile to make guests laugh and truly make you feel welcome. Would definatly recommend.
My husband and I have just returned from an eight-night stay at this fabulous hotel. We have been visiting Hisaronu for many years, and this is by far the best hotel we have stayed in.
The rooms are modern, spacious, and spotlessly clean. Housekeeping visited daily, providing fresh towels each day, with bed linen changed weekly.
The hotel's stunning circular swimming pool is the centrepiece of the complex, surrounded by plenty of sunbeds. There are also sunbeds located on the island in the middle of the pool, which is accessible via a bridge, creating a unique and relaxing atmosphere.
The pool bar serves a great selection of drinks and snacks throughout the day, and the daily happy hour offering buy-one-get-one-free cocktails was a welcome bonus. We stayed on a bed and breakfast basis, and the breakfast exceeded our expectations. There was an excellent variety of hot and cold options, including cereals, breads, cold meats, sausages, beans, scrambled eggs, fresh fruit, and yoghurt. Guests can also order freshly prepared omelettes, poached eggs, and pancakes, cooked to order. A good selection of drinks was available, including tea, coffee, orange juice, and apple juice.
The staff truly make this hotel special. From the warm welcome we received at reception and the helpful porter on arrival, to the attentive waiters, bar staff, and entertainment team, everyone was friendly and professional throughout our stay.
A special mention must go to Oscar, the head waiter, who is a real credit to the hotel. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and he consistently went above and beyond to ensure we were well looked after. His exceptional service made our holiday even more enjoyable.
We would not hesitate to recommend the Ocean Blue Hotel and will definitely be looking to stay here again on our next visit to Hisaronu. Five stars from us! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Just come back from a 2 week stay at ocean blue and I honestly can’t fault the place. All the staff are friendly and so helpful, the hotel is clean and tidy and perfectly located in the centre of Hisarönü, and despite its central location it’s never noisy. We stayed in a linked room with bunk beds and it was perfect for a family of 4 with a 17 and 12 year old. Guests were reminded weekly that reserving beds before 8am wasn’t allowed and I wish every hotel did that. We didn’t bother getting up to reserve beds because there is a terrace above the poolside restaurant that hardly anyone goes on and always had plenty of beds/umbrellas. This was our first time in Turkey as a family and it certainly won’t be our last. 10/10
I’m extremely disappointed with my stay at Ocean Blue High Class Hotel. On the last evening of our stay, I discovered that my watch was missing from my room. During the relevant period, housekeeping had been the only hotel service entering the room.
The watch was kept inside a jewellery box each evening. Although the room had a safe available, I reasonably kept the watch in its jewellery box, which was then placed inside a packing cube and stored inside the wardrobe. In other words, it was kept out of sight and was not simply left somewhere visible or unattended.
The hotel reviewed CCTV, which clearly showed me wearing the watch when I entered the room the evening before. The following morning, when we went to breakfast, the watch was no longer on my person, and when I went to retrieve it later that evening, it was gone.
The watch was not particularly significant because of its monetary value; it had considerable sentimental value to me, which makes losing it especially upsetting.
We reported the matter to hotel management. When we raised the need for a police report for insurance purposes, we were told that involving the local police could take a long time (convenient as we was checking out and travelling back to the UK shortly) and that they may not take the matter seriously because there were no signs of a break-in. I found this response extremely disappointing. The absence of forced entry does not explain how a watch that was clearly with me when I entered the room subsequently went missing.
We were also shown the hotel’s terms, which we were asked to sign upon checking in, stating that the hotel does not accept responsibility for guests’ lost belongings. I understand that hotels may have policies concerning lost property, and I acknowledge that a safe was available in the room. However, I do not believe that a disclaimer concerning lost belongings should mean that a valuable and sentimental item can disappear from a guest’s room without explanation.
This experience has left me very concerned about the security of guests’ belongings and, in particular, disappointed with how the matter was handled.
Based on this experience, I would not feel comfortable staying at this hotel again, nor would I recommend it to friends or family.
