Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
We booked a week’s stay at the Yacht Classic Hotel in Fethiye through British Airways Holidays, and it proved to be an excellent choice. This is a beautiful boutique hotel that is immaculately clean, stylish, and extremely well maintained. From the moment we arrived, it was obvious that the staff genuinely care about their guests, and they are undoubtedly the hotel’s greatest asset.
We booked a Classic Room, located on the same floor as Reception. As the entry-level room, it represented good value and was spotlessly clean and well equipped. The only slight disappointment was the outlook, which overlooked the hotel’s air-conditioning units and a fence rather than the marina or gardens. The sleeping area was also a little compact, with no comfortable chair to relax in, although the bathroom was surprisingly spacious and beautifully appointed.
The rest of the hotel more than makes up for this. The breakfast experience is exceptional, with staff who greet you each morning as though you’re an old friend. Their warmth and enthusiasm really set the tone for the day. Dinner in Mori Restaurant was consistently excellent, the bar is a lovely place to spend an evening, and having both the lively main pool and the wonderfully peaceful silent pool gives guests the best of both worlds.
We also enjoyed treatments in the spa, which were very good. If you’re looking for a traditional Turkish hammam experience, however, I’d recommend visiting one in Fethiye itself, where you’ll find a more authentic experience at a considerably lower price.
The only area where the hotel fell noticeably short was Guest Relations, and unfortunately it didn’t match the high standards set by everyone else.
As my partner was visiting Turkey for the first time, we wanted some help arranging a private boat trip and car hire. We were offered only two choices for the boat: a large shared excursion with around 30 people, or the hotel’s own catamaran at around £1,250 for the day. There seemed to be little interest in helping us find anything in between, despite there being plenty of private boat operators in Fethiye.
The car hire was equally disappointing. A deposit was taken early in the week, but by Friday this appeared to have been forgotten until my partner chased it up. We weren’t offered any choice of vehicle, the paperwork was completed by someone with limited English, we were unexpectedly asked for a £150 cash security deposit, and there was an attempt to sell us additional insurance at collection. To be fair, the Guest Relations Manager stepped in and covered the cash deposit personally, which we appreciated, but the whole process felt rather informal and disorganised. In hindsight, we would almost certainly have arranged our own car hire in town, where there are numerous reputable companies offering a wider choice of vehicles.
None of that, however, would stop us returning.
The Yacht Classic Hotel succeeds because of its wonderful staff, beautiful setting, excellent food, immaculate standards and genuinely welcoming atmosphere. We had a thoroughly enjoyable holiday, and I would happily recommend the hotel to anyone visiting Fethiye.
My only advice would be simple: stay at the Yacht Classic, enjoy everything the hotel has to offer, but consider arranging excursions and car hire independently rather than relying on Guest Relations.
We had an amazing stay at Yacht Classic Hotel in Fethiye.
The hospitality was outstanding, and all the staff were friendly and welcoming. A special thank you to Yaren, the Guest Relations Manager, who assisted us with everything we needed. She was incredibly kind, professional, and always willing to help, making our stay even more enjoyable.
The rooms were beautiful, with a lovely balcony view overlooking the marina. The room had a pleasant scent, tasteful interior design, and a calm, relaxing atmosphere.
Breakfast was excellent, with a wide variety of options. Enjoying breakfast by the marina each morning was one of the highlights of our stay.
The swimming pools were clean, fresh, and beautifully maintained.
The pool bar had a good menu, although the service could be a little quicker.
We also had dinner at Mori Restaurant. The food was fresh, delicious, and of excellent quality. It is slightly expensive, but the overall dining experience was worth it.
Overall, I believe this is one of the best hotels in the Fethiye area. I highly recommend it and would happily stay here again.
Definitely coming back!! Wow… this place is spectacular. This resort probably one of the best Ive been to. Mori, the restaurant was just amazing. On the waters edge with amazing views of the marina. Blown away by its beauty. Staff were attentive and the best classic Mojito’s ever… you’ll love it
We came for the afternoon for drinks and food off the brunch menu. The setting and location was BEAUTIFUL and picture perfect. It was clean and we enjoyed the cocktails on offer and food was delicious (we ordered the chicken Caesar salad, club sandwich and chicken quesadillas).
However we sadly found the service lacking and unattentive to our group while here. At one point there were 9 members of staff stood around on phones, talking to each other and people who were staying at the hotel. No one came over to see if we were enjoying the food or if we needed anything further and it then took myself 5 times to attract attention to get the bill.
Sadly even though we enjoyed the drinks and food on offer we would not come back because of this as we felt nobody could be bothered with us whilst there.
We had a wonderful experience. It was our wedding anniversary and we received an upgrade to a “Villa”, one of the best rooms I’ve ever stayed. It has its own pool but it’s a pool that serves only de villas. Is big and beautiful. The room is very luxurious and the service very good It has a wonderful restaurant called Mori where we had dinner. And it’s very close to the Old City where we went twice to walk, eat and shop.
