Couples holiday with teenage son (15)

We’ve just come back from an amazing stay at Club Tuana with our 15‑year‑old son, and it was honestly one of our favourite family holidays. We stayed in La Siena, which is a peaceful area with beautiful gardens and only a short walk to the main resort.

The entertainment blew us away — Flashback, Aero Africa and the White Party were incredible and good for the whole family. Even though there weren’t loads of English teens, our son made friends straight away with Russian and German boys thanks to the water polo and darts activities. There’s plenty to keep teenagers busy. After that, he was off living his best life and we barely saw him. He loved the freedom as there’s not around the resort, it’s very safe and we were confident for him to wander about after we had gone to bed for an extra hour or two.

There was lots of families with younger kids too, it was a good mix.

We spent most days at the big main pool, which was brilliant. The entertainment team were full of energy, and Artem deserves a special mention. There was loads of activities to keep the whole family busy. We used the gym too which was good. The Food was a real highlight too — Roko and the Italian restaurant were genuinely outstanding. When we go back the olive restaurant had lots of good comments so we would like to try that and the fish restaurant. They are set menus you get four courses and they are 10:10. The main buffet and snack bars were also really good, and the drinks were spot on. The room and room service was good and air con was a godsend.

The beach area is gorgeous, with clean bars and plenty of space. Sunbeds were easy to get, though if you want a prime poolside spot you’ll need to be up early. There are loads of others around the resort if you’re not fussed.

Our son did end up with an ear infection, but the on‑site private clinic was a lifesaver. It cost £100 for the consultation and medication, and he was sorted quickly.

We went to fethiye Tuesday tourist markets which is a half an hour bus trip and cost us 300 Turkish lira each way for the three of us. The bus stop is right outside the hotel entrance.

The staff at the hotel were all really friendly and helpful, especially on check in and the bus drivers were really helpful too. This was our first holiday to turkey and it won’t be our last.

Only downside: the mosquitos love me, so definitely pack strong insect repellent!

A brilliant resort with great food, entertainment, and a lovely atmosphere for families with teenagers. We loved it

Good family hotel

We have just returned from a 7 night holiday here as a family of 5 with three boys aged 6, 9 and 11. First of all I would say there are quite a few unfair negative comments on here which we really didn’t see but everyone has their own experience. For us this is a really good family holiday spot and you make it what you like. There were negatives which I will mention but nothing that spoilt our holiday. So the cons We travel with a child who has a diary allergy and this was a hard one for him! Don’t get me wrong the food choice is massive and the rest of us loved it!! But been diary free was very hard work! No cheese alternative, no butter alternative, no ice lollies not even in the shop to buy! Was a few hard days but as always pack for him we managed. Our welcome wasn’t ideal. We arrived at 9:20pm and taken to the room. Our children were starving as you can imagine! We tired to look around the resort but it was dark and we didn’t know so headed back to reception who told us quite bluntly no food till 11pm and nothing they could do about it! The boys went to bed hungry and frustrated. Having seen all the food I can’t believe they couldn’t have called down and got some chips to us ect.. tricky with younger children. The beach is not really a beach! No sand castle hard to get into! To the point that we didn’t use is as a beach. The pier definitely saved the day! Use this to jump into or use the steps to get into it created us hours of fun.

Pros We could always get a sunbed! Not around the pool I don’t know what time people were getting up for this and same as others have said staff are seen reserving them for some people! However I was up between 8-10am and could always get 3/4 together in the garden and no worries about umbrellas! So it was never an issue.

We loved the entertainment a few that werent so good but again each to their own! Entertainment starts at 9:30 and kids disco is 8:30! Which I can see as been quite late for a few! The entertainment team work so hard and not one of them seems fed up! They have as much enthusiasm as I’d love. Was lovely to see, plus they all had some amazing talents. Staff in general we found lovely, high fiving our kids making them drinks they wanted! They can be mocktails, milkshakes, blue lemonade! Honestly nothing was too much trouble! The slides were fun and all our kids wanted and needed but not a full water park! (We liked this) WiFi is terrible but again we weren’t bothered by this as we are on holiday! We took out Turkish lire but everything is in euros! So I wouldn’t bother with lire!

We booked a cabana for the day and this was fun! They are 60 euro for the day and you get personal service and nice extras and can sit and watch the sun go down! And to top it off we watched a massive turtle swim under the pier.

For our family this was a lovely, easy hotel and I really think you can make it what you like. I would definitely recommend and I would say what you see is what you get! It’s a hotel definitely for families.

Almost perfect

Stayed here as a family of 3 in July 2026. The hotel has many positive aspects, with a few negatives to be aware of.

Pros -

Location. This part of Turkey is very scenic, and the hotel is in a giant bay, with hills and mountains on 3 sides. There is nothing else in the immediate area to spoil the views, as Fethiye town is a few miles away Food - The main buffet restaurant has a huge range of tasty, well cooked dishes. You also have access to 4 à la carte restaurants - Mediterranean, Italian, fish, and Asian. We tried them all, and the personal service and food quality really made our holiday. Entertainment - plenty of daytime activities are included - we can recommend the pedalos, archery and air rifle shooting. Our son loved the water slides. The evening shows were superb, even the ones put on by the in-house animation team. Grounds - The rooms are dotted around meticulously maintained gardens, with lush greenery, flowers and palm trees everywhere. Lovely to walk around, and reminiscent of far more exotic locations. The pier is also a bonus - even if you don’t pay extra to hire a cabana, there are a few free sunbeds, and it’s a safe spot for diving / swimming in the sea. Staff - there are some negative reviews on here about the staff, but we found them to be polite, friendly and very hard working, even if we sometimes struggled to make ourselves understood.

Cons -

Rooms - Even though we paid extra for a deluxe room, it was nothing like a 5 star. The bathroom was tired, the shower screen came off it’s rails, the bar of soap was minuscule, there was limited storage space, and the ‘terrace’ was tiny, literally big enough for 1 chair. There was also no sound insulation from the room upstairs, whose occupants disrupted our sleep. Pool - the main pool is large, but was very crowded, and the only way to get a sunbed there was to get your towel down at 6 a.m. The hotel staff appeared to be reserving sunbeds for a select few; we never found out how to get this privilege. It is also very noisy there, with loud music playing from giant speakers all day. The hotel grounds are large enough to accommodate an extra ‘quiet’ pool for those wanting relaxation - we had this facility on last year’s Turkey holiday, and it was a godsend. Sadly, no such pool at the Tuana. There are sunbeds available in the quieter garden areas, but in summer temperatures you need easy pool access. Beach - nothing but grey shingle, impossible to even walk on without sandals. Stick to the pier. Hygiene - Although the hotel was spotlessly clean, there is nothing in place to keep flies out of the main restaurant, and we often found them landing on the food. Late check out - most hotels will let you know if this is available on the day before you leave. But at the Tuana, we had to wait until our actual departure day, only to be then told that it was not available. This caused a little inconvenience for our final hours at the hotel; once checked out we were at least offered the use of the spa showers, but these were very cramped, hot and stuffy.

However…don’t be discouraged by the negatives, because for us they are far outweighed by the positives. We all loved our holiday here, and I’m sure we’ll be back one day, although probably at a quieter time of year.

A great holiday overall

Ok so I have read some mixed reviews about this hotel and wanted to give a balanced view and hopefully reassure any families who have booked this hotel and are now concerned. Overall this is a very good hotel. There is plenty of food options and the staff are all lovely. Water is in plentiful supply and various branded soft drinks. The beach isn’t great that’s true but the view from the pier is stunning particularly at sunset. In fact you’re best off jumping off the pier into the sea (it’s not too deep) which is much clearer and was a highlight of our stay. There is plenty to do in terms of activities with a well equipped gym and kids football every day. I see someone complained about the waterslides - they’re open from 10-12 and 3-5pm which suited us fine. The Spa is also lovely and there’s a nice shopping parade and arcade area for the kids. There’s lots of snacks and food available most of the day - you certainly won’t go hungry! Now for some less positive aspects - the place is generally clean but could be cleaner. When we arrived (we stayed in the Lagoon area) there were a few dead wasps in our room and balcony. Not what you expect from a 5 star hotel. The beds are comfortable but pillows old bumpy and tired. Quite a few scratches and marks too on wooden areas so it felt a bit tired and in need of a repaint. The animation is ok but on far too late and is loud. There was only one terrible show - a bit of a dance show with dance music which was a bit weird given this is a family resort! The hotel should also really consider earlier shows given that there are many families there with young children. My husband also had a bad tummy but myself and son were fine. The only thing he had that we didn’t was blue cheese so maybe avoid that! On the whole though we did have a wonderful holiday and would recommend this hotel. The Lagoon area in particular is lovely.
