Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
We absolutely loved our stay here and, having read some of the previous comments, our experience was completely different. We were recommended by others on this website, and we’re so glad we took their advice.
The staff were fantastic — so warm, friendly and welcoming, and nothing was ever too much trouble. The lady who cooked the eggs at breakfast was particularly lovely and even remembered our names each day, which was such a lovely personal touch.
The food was excellent — fresh, tasty and beautifully prepared. Breakfast had a lovely selection of homemade options, alongside plenty of other choices to suit all tastes — even my fussy 12-year-old! We also really enjoyed the food and drinks around the pool.
We can understand the comments about the sunbeds, as people were clearly getting up early for their preferred spots which I wouldn’t expect the hotel to have to police! However, this didn’t mean there were no other beds available. We always found an alternative around the pool which was still convenient and enjoyable.
The hotel has a lovely, relaxed atmosphere, our room was clean and comfortable, and the location was perfect for us — an easy walk into Dalyan whilst still being peaceful.
We genuinely couldn’t fault our stay and would happily return. Fantastic staff, excellent food and a lovely atmosphere — we’re so glad we chose to stay here!
A wonderfully relaxing hammam experience
I booked the full hammam circuit at Dalyan Resort, which lasts around two hours, and it was a genuinely lovely experience from beginning to end.
The treatment starts in a wonderfully grand, traditional white-marble hammam. Here, your skin is thoroughly scrubbed, bubbled and cleansed – you really do feel as though every trace of dust, sun cream and daily life has been washed away! Afterwards, there’s a short opportunity to dry off and relax on the loungers before moving on to the full-body massage.
The massage was much more comprehensive than I expected and included several different elements: oils, hot stones, massage techniques, and some gentle bending and stretching. My therapist was excellent. She regularly checked that I was comfortable and was very happy to adapt parts of the treatment to suit me, which made the whole experience feel very personal and unhurried.
To finish, I was given a lovely aromatic tea while a face mask was applied – the perfect ending to two hours of complete relaxation.
I came away feeling incredibly clean, relaxed and restored, and then slept for eight hours afterwards, which probably says everything!
A huge thank you to the Spa team at Dalyan Resort. They were amazing – so kind, attentive and understanding throughout. The spa building and gym aren’t particularly new, but everything was spotlessly clean and well cared for. For me, the warmth of the staff and the quality of the treatment mattered far more.
I would definitely recommend the full hammam circuit if you’re staying at Dalyan Resort. Allow yourself the full two hours and enjoy every minute of it.
We really really wanted to like this hotel especially having read the positive reviews and feedback. Unfortunately this hotel was not to the standards for our party of 6 and we politely left after 3 nights of a 9 night stay and moved to the Caria Special Class Hotel on the river. Our experience was rather contradictory to the reviews. Despite the hotel stating a strict no towel reservation of sun-beds, they were all taken by 7am. In the three days we were here we were unable to obtain a single bed and had to go to another hotel to enjoy the pool. Breakfast is basic. There is no waiter service or being looked after and the bar menu is limited. If being waited on and service is something that is important to you, then perhaps this hotel is not for you. The rooms are very basic and need modernising. This hotel is a good 15 minute walk to the town. I don't want to be completely negative about this hotel, some may find it a wonderful experience and a means to an end, a reasonably priced get away, but I guess this is dependent on your expectations and accommodation standards! Unfortunately it just wasn't for us. Dalyan itself is lovely, especially by the river. There are plenty of wonderful places to experience some delicious food. We will return and most definitely either book a villa or stay at the Caria again.
We have just returned from a fantastic stay at Dalyan Live Hotel and honestly didn't want to leave.
From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel so welcome. A special thank you to Batu and Meric on reception, and Beber at the bar. They were all absolutely brilliant throughout our stay – always smiling, friendly, approachable and happy to help. They are a real credit to the hotel and made our holiday even more enjoyable.
Our room was spacious, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The bathroom was modern, and the shower was amazing – one of the best hotel showers I've experienced!
We ate at the hotel several times during our stay and really enjoyed the food. There was a good variety, everything was fresh, and we always found something we liked. The pool was another highlight. It was a great size, never felt overcrowded and was surprisingly warm, making it perfect for a relaxing swim at any time of the day.
One of the best decisions we made was hiring the electric scooter buggies. They were so much fun and made exploring Dalyan really easy. I'd highly recommend giving them a try.
Dalyan itself completely won us over. The people are some of the friendliest and most welcoming we've ever met. The whole town has such a peaceful, laid-back atmosphere, which was exactly what we were looking for. If you're after lively nightlife and busy resorts, this probably isn't the place. But if you want to relax, slow down and experience genuine Turkish hospitality, it's perfect.
We visited the fascinating ancient ruins at Kaunos and spent time at the beautiful İztuzu Beach. The water was crystal clear, and I loved that getting around involved short ferry and boat trips. It gives Dalyan a unique charm that's very different from Antalya and Side, where we've stayed previously.
We also enjoyed eating out in town and were impressed wherever we went. A special mention goes to La Piazza on the waterfront, where we enjoyed a lovely meal overlooking the river. Chef Steakhouse was excellent, George at Dosi Restaurant made us feel incredibly welcome, and we also had a fantastic meal at China Town, where both the food and service were excellent.
Overall, this holiday exceeded our expectations. Dalyan Live Hotel was the perfect base for exploring such a beautiful part of Turkey, and the warmth and kindness shown by everyone we met made it even more memorable.
Thank you to all the staff at Dalyan Live Hotel for such a wonderful stay. We left with amazing memories and hope to return again very soon.
We have throughly enjoyed ourselves so far , this is our first time here , and we will be back again , hopefully next year . The staff are very friendly and helpful.
