Laur Hotels Experience and Elegance

Nice location, on the walking distance from Citi centre. Friendly atmosphere. Rooms perfect size (we were 2+2 and had 2 separate rooms which is not common in All Inc offers). Rooms, hotel and area clean. Perfect service - everyone was very nice to us. Food was so delicious. I cannot understand how can other people write that the food was monotoneus. It was rich in all kinds and we ate everyday something different. The only think I didnt like was the crowded main pool and loud music on the beach. Sometimes on the beach we could hear 2 types of music - one was from the main beach and one from the pier. I suggest to leave only one source of music - it will improve the comfort of the guests a lot.

Stayed for 2 weeks. August 2026. 2 Adults, 2 kids.

Room: Had a Comfort Family Room. Plenty of space. Two separate bedrooms, one with a double, one with two singles. Big (50-60 inch) TV in each room, and a couple of comfy chairs. Plenty of storage space. Quite nice decor, but a bit tatty in places (some peeling paper, paint not applied very carefully). Air con worked fine. One unit in each bedroom, with separate controls. Nice bathroom, with big shower. Decent balcony. Despite being a "garden room", i.e. no sea view, you could see the sea if you looked sideways. Not that we ever sat on the balcony. There was a free safe, which was nice. Usually we've paid maybe 5 euros a day for safes, but not here. Shut the door, enter 6 digit code and #. It locks. Enter same code to open. Decent fridge, which we filled with free bottles of water from the bar. Only English TV channel we could get was CNN. The kids never turned theirs on. We were on floor 7, and it was pretty quiet. Never heard any noise from other guests.

Restaurants. Big main restaurant. Decent selection of food. Lots of salads and deserts. Nice baklava. Could do with more choices of meat. I was expecting more kebabs. The only meat cooked on the grill seemed to be fish or chicken. But no complaints about food really. Better than other all-inclusives I've been to. Although the wine is undrinkable (red, white and rose), you can get beer with your meal. There's no table service for drinks. You have to go to a little bar in the restaurant.

A La carte. The Italian was terrible, but we're not in Italy, so no surprises. Other diners just got up and left mid-meal and went to the buffet. We stayed till the end hoping it would improve. It didn't. The Turkish was lovely. Best food of the week. Good service in both.

Bars Mostly went to the pool bar. Beer is bottled lager, which is OK. Often it's not very cold, probably due to demand. On-tap cold beer would have been better. Wife enjoyed the cocktails. Kids were mostly happy. I got a taste for raki. Often very long queues, as there's at most 1 or 2 people serving. Could do with more staff. Certain nationalities of guest prefer to push in, but it was mostly civilised. Staff are very friendly.

Pools Main pool is good. Big and clean. All one depth. Infinity pool is adults only, and you have to pay for a sun lounger, so didn't bother. There are two other smaller pools that we didn't bother with.

Sunbeds. There are not enough for the number of guests. People get up at 6am and reserve them (often with just a single generic white hotel towel laid across two beds). The staff will occasionally remove them if they think people have abandoned them, or haven't been back for hours. We saw that happen a couple of times, with ensuing arguments between the people who thought they'd had their bed stolen, and the people who'd just arrived to find an empty bed (and done nothing wrong). Don't abandon your bed for more than an hour or two, and make sure you put some personal stuff on there (books, hats, your own towels, etc). Get a bed before breakfast at 7am and you're probably OK. There are loungers and beds away from the pool which get less busy. We managed OK. The sunbeds on the beach are equally busy, but you don't see the staff down there policing them.

Entertainment Evening entertainment is pretty good. Better than other hotels I've stayed in. They actually get some decent acts, like acrobats, motorbike stunt show, and so on. It repeats weekly. The stage area is quite nice. There's no daytime entertainment around the main pool. There may be stuff happening around the other pools (water polo maybe), but didn't see it. The music around the pool is a bit repetitive, but not too bad.

Beach It's a private beach for the hotel. Nice, but crowded. Packed tightly with sunloungers. The sea is lovely. Shallow, calm, and clear, with a sea wall maybe 10 metres out (where it's still shallow), that you can climb over with steps and continue swimming out. Good for kids. Felt safe. There's a lifeguard. There are also free sunbeds and chairs set back from the sand, up some steps, if you want to see the sea but not be on the beach. And there's a bar and snack bar.

Beach club. You see the wooden "pier" in the pictures with private cabanas? Looks lovely, but you have to hire those cabanas for 30 euros per day. Not expensive, but we didn't bother.

Nearby There's a small amusement park about 5 mins walk away. You can see the rides from the hotel. Big wheel, Pirate Ship, etc. We went a few times in the evening. Nice to get a walk. 200 lira per ride (£3). Walk a bit further and you're in Altinkum, which has a long sea front, lots of shops, and is quite pleasant. We went there a few evenings. Got a taxi back which was 300 lira (£4.50). Agree a price when you get in. There are no meters. There is Uber, which we used a couple of times and a similar price. And it's the same taxis. Walking about outside the hotel felt very safe. Lots of locals and families about. Never saw any trouble.

Medical facilities Weird to be writing about this, but anyway. Feel free to ignore if you have health/travel insurance. Son got tonsilitis. The hotel nurse confirmed this, and said no problem, we'll send you to the hospital in our free taxi, you'll get treated, claim on your insurance, and then we'll bring you back later. Treatment was all fine. Cost me £75 excess on my insurance. We did get driven about for free by the hotel's driver (who I believe actually works for the hospital). But, we were sent to an expensive private health centre. Without insurance, the bill for diagnosing, giving some medication, and writing a prescription was apparently 700-800 Euros. They were very insistent on me sorting out the insurance before treating (thankfully). The public state hospital would have probably been a lot cheaper, but I would still have paid the same excess. Might have been a lot busier. The insurance company said they'd cover the cost, but warned that the particular hospital was known for over treating and over charging. At no point did the hotel nurse suggest we had other options, and we didn't think to ask. Anyway, if you have insurance, you'll be OK, but get approval for the treatment first from your insurers. Otherwise it could be expensive. The private hospital referred to the hotel nurse as "our nurse", which might explain things. Somebody we met broke a bone, went to the state hospital, and said it was fine.

Summary. Nice hotel. Nice holiday. Would return.

So far, we'd say this has been one of the best hotels we have been at, the location is great and the hotel is near a bunch of attractions. The atmosphere overall was great and the staff were very helpful and kind in many ways. The rooms were spacious, clean and were giving luxurious vibes but a few renovations are due in my opinion. The beach was beautiful and the fish swimming in it were in clear and healthy waters. The water quality in both the sea and pools was superb and really clean. Overall the hotel was really well maintained and was better than a good few of the other hotels we've been at previously. The hotel was quite quiet, especially the rooms and hallways. But the amphitheatre area was really loud, even when inside. Food was great although repetitive, but you could always go to an other restaurants in the hotel. They have a 24/7 restaurant and bar with great food. If you want variety id choose the main Zeus restaurant inside the main building, but if you want a restaurant like feeling, go to the other ones, like Apollon and Aphrodite restaurants. Amenities were good with bathrooms close by the beach and inside the hotel, but there was a surprising lack near the dolphin pool or we just simply couldn't find them. Towels and everything was provided in the spa. The hotel itself is really secure and there's no need to fear intruders or anything of the kind.
