Vikingen Infinity Resort and Spa

Overall, the hotel was mainly clean, although I wouldn’t rate it as a 5-star hotel. The food was average, with plenty of room for improvement. Some of the staff were friendly and helpful, but unfortunately, others were quite rude, which affected our overall experience. The evening entertainment was another disappointment. It didn’t start until around 10:15 pm, which I feel is far too late, especially for families with younger children. Overall, based on our experience, I would rate this hotel more as a 3 to 4-star hotel rather than a 5-star. There were some positives, but unfortunately, it didn’t live up to the standards I would expect from a 5-star hotel.

We've just got back from staying at Vikingen infinity hotel 1st till 8th August, I was so excited for this holiday and from the moment we went to the check in desk I was extremely disappointed. We checked in and we paid for a family room 1 double bed and 2 singles with a pool view but what we got was a small room with 1 double bed and 1 single bed and a couch for my boy also the balcony wasn't pool view it was at the back of the hotel facing a wall and hill with people going past all day. When we told them at reception what we had paid for the reception guy was really rude and said we need to pay 160 euros for a pool view room.

The hotel needs a lot of improvement as our lights didn't work in our room, a lot of things around the hotel are broken and need updating. We paid for all inclusive but yet a lot of the things around the hotel are charged like in the restaurant if you want fresh orange juice it's 3 euros, same with ice creams there's a charge. You can get a free ice cream between 2 and 4 pm but it's about a spoonful of ice cream on a waffle cone that I would give to a small child!!! With vanilla or chocolate to choose from.

The entertainment didn't start till 10.15pm on an evening and it's not on every night. I think this is really late for a hotel especially if your with children. The entertainment is far away from the hotel as you have to walk all the way across the bridge near the beach and into the corner where the theatre is.

I would definitely say that the hotel is a 3* at best, not a 5* like advertised. Me and my family was very disappointed and wouldn't return.

We booked the hotel as it looked fun with the water slides near the beach but these are only open for 2 hrs a day!.

Staff are not very friendly and very unhelpful when you ask anything. Food is the same every day and doesn't have any theme nights. We was asked on the first night if we would like a drink but not one time after that, the staff just stand about looking uninterested.

These are lovely hotels for families with lots of things to do, great entertainment and helpful staff with waterslides and plenty of variety on food and theme nights.

Sorry for the rant but really upset having saved all year for this holiday to be disappointed and the hotel really didn't care.

We have just returned from a stay at the vikingen hotel. We went as a family with another family of four and we had a fabulous time. It’s a long drive from the airport, approx 90 mins, but when we arrived at the hotel the check in was smooth, the receptionist was friendly and explained where everything was.

Food Food was really good. There was something for everyone. So much fresh fruit, veg and salad. There were so many options for main dishes too, and the deserts were amazing! There’s other places around the hotel to get food. The wrap bar that does chicken doner is really good, but the queue gets really long. We had no issues with food at all and no bad tummies.

Cleanliness The hotel is super clean. There’s always people walking around the pool collecting cups and rubbish and the rooms are kept clean as is the restaurant.

Sunbeds There are so many sunbeds! We didn’t have any issue getting beds and there was 8 of us.

The pools and the water park is brilliant. So many different pools to use. To get to the water park to just need to cross over a bridge from the hotel, there’s a smaller park with little slides and then a bigger one with the bigger slides. There’s lots of food options over that side too and a couple of bars. It’s all linked to a private beach but that was not as good as expected as it’s quite shingly, but we wasn’t too fussed as mostly we only wanted to be in the pools. There’s lifeguards around all the pools too. There’s also so much security so you can relax knowing nobody from outside the hotel can get across the bridge and into the hotel.

There’s some shops at the hotel selling sunglasses, bags etc but if you want to go shopping the two places I can recommend is Oscars shop at the nova centre. He has a FB page and if you what’s app him he’ll arrange free transport from the hotel and arrange to drop you back free of charge. They are quite pushy in the shops so be prepared but the quality is amazing. Also if you walk across the bridge from the hotel and turn right, there’s a big bazaar about a 15 minute walk away which has loss of shops and restaurants. Really good prices and they’re not so pushy there.

The only thing that I can say let the hotel down was the cocktails which aren’t great but if you like a baileys iced coffee they do great ones at the bar in reception.

The spa was lovely and was a really good price, I would definitely recommend that if you fancy some relaxation. They also do a kids package and my daughter who’s 14 could come in with me and we enjoyed it together.

All in all we loved it, the kids loved it and we made use of all the facilities, so I wouldn’t listen to all the negative reviews. If you are a fussy eater and only looking for English food I’d say this isn’t for you unless you want to live on chips and chicken nuggets!
