We asked Ibrahim for an eSIM and he deleted my actual personal sim from my phone so I have no data back at home, flirted with me multiple times considering I’m underage, balcony door wouldn’t lock and food wasn’t great, lack of options for picky eaters or international foods, wouldn’t stock the rooms with towels, blankets or toilet roll and would of been told multiple times to leave some in the room after a clean
I was honestly so worried after reading reviews on here! I was actually dreading the holiday. After staying here for 10 days during July/august 2026 with my family I do not understand the bad reviews. We have no complaints apart from there could have been better evening/night entertainment for the adults around the main pool bar area. The hotel was very clean..the staff are constantly cleaning. Our room was clean, the pool area and restaurants were clean. All the staff work very hard! The private beach was amazing! Can walk it in about 10 minutes or get the free shuttle bus every 30 minutes. Plenty of Sun loungers, toilets, showers and a lovely free snack bar and drinks bar. aqua park is like 2 minute walk from the main pool area, it’s through a little tunnel, there is also toilets, showers a drinks bar and a lovely lady making beautiful Turkish pancakes. The food is good, it depends what you like! .we enjoyed lots of kebabs and rice, kebab wraps and fries, pizzas and chicken from chicken world, we enjoyed a lovely Lasagna, various different meats and desserts from the main buffet restaurant. There is always lots to choose from for lunch and dinner, apart from breakfast! We didn’t really enjoy breakfast. It depends what you like! There was fresh crusty bread and fried eggs everyday. fresh fruit and salad, also cereals and yummy fresh cooked pancakes with a choice of topping’s but mostly I found it strange that they was serving PEAS..SWEETCORN & BRUSSEL SPROUTS for breakfast and some other weird stuff?? apart from that food was good. A Holiday is what you make it! We had an amazing time! Thank you to all the amazing hard working staff at the senza inn resort and spa! The reps was amazing too! And the pool bar and bistro bar staff were absolutely lovely!
Location is okay, a few bars and restaurants within walking distance, but a long way from Alanya. my biggest problem was the bedding the top cover didnt even cover the bed let alone go over two of us. when I asked for another cover they left a quilt with no cover and it was disgusting, the food was just okay very repetitive the grill meats were always things like cheap burger meat odd times chicken, At busy times there were only 1 person on the bar and the queues were ridiculous, Always had trouble finding a table and when you did find a table you had to wait for it to be cleared as there is no where near enough clearing staff in the dining room, and when you did get a table you had to then go on a hunt for cutlery , Ive never had this in a 4 star hotel let alone a 5 star. It made it a ordeal to go for lunch or dinner not the relaxing 5 star experience it should have been, i would NOT recommend this hotel
Disappointing Stay – Unsafe Conditions, Terrible Food, and Disgusting Rooms (With a Few Standout Staff) I am writing this review to share our experience, which was largely disappointing due to severe management, hygiene, and cleanliness issues, despite a couple of wonderful staff members who tried their best. The Positives:
Yusuf (Bar Staff): A true asset to the hotel. He was the only worker who made us feel genuinely welcome—friendly, polite, talkative, and always made time for us and our children.
Ekaterina (Guest Relations Manager): Very helpful in sorting out a gluten-free menu for my sister. Thank you, Ekaterina! Entertainment Team: Special thanks to the blonde girl and Admen (the DJ) for all the extra care and support they gave my son and my sister.
The Negatives:
Filthy Rooms & Hidden Fees: On arrival, our room wasn't even cleaned—there were used yogurt pots inside the bedsheets and cigarette ash on the balcony, even though we don't smoke. The bathroom was so mouldy that I had to clean it myself because mould triggers my son's medical chest condition. To make matters worse, you have to pay extra just to get a proper room clean, plus Wi-Fi is an extra €20 per person, per device for 10 days.
Hygiene & Safety Hazards: On August 23rd around 12:00 PM, someone was sick in the pool. I reported it immediately to both a lifeguard and an assistant staff member, but they completely ignored it and allowed people to keep swimming. On top of that, the main restaurant floors were dangerously slippery—I saw several elderly guests fall, and staff didn't even bother to help them.
Terrible Food, Rude Staff & Bar Queues: The food in the main restaurant was hands down the worst I have ever tasted in my life. Most of the overall hotel staff were very rude, and there were nowhere near enough staff working the pool bar. Our holiday rep was only interested in us if we were buying trips—if not, he gave us dirty looks every time he passed us.
Lack of Entertainment: There was virtually no day or night entertainment for children beyond a short mini-disco for toddlers. No cultural shows, no dancers, and nothing at all for older kids.
Sunbed Reservation Nightmare: Guests reserved sunbeds starting at 10:00 PM the night before. Some towels stayed on the exact same loungers for seven straight days without anyone moving them, leaving zero sun loungers available for anyone else.
AWFUL. Avoid at all costs — left us hungry, sleep‑deprived, discriminated against, and endangered my Type 1 child. Dangerous for children.
Food & Drink — 1/10, absolutely terrible The food was consistently dreadful — cold, tasteless, and so little of it we were actually hungry for our whole 6‑day stay. Every English‑speaking guest we spoke to said exactly the same thing. Breakfast was gross, lunch was worse, and dinner was the worst of it. Drinks are undiluted, sickly sweet — like drinking pure syrup — and you can’t help yourself to anything like Coke or Fanta; you have to queue at the bar every single time. Overall food score: 1 out of 10 — easily the worst we’ve ever had anywhere.
Noise & Entertainment — Impossible to sleep Peak August and the place was barely half‑full. They played calm music until 10pm — then BLASTED loud Turkish music every single night until midnight. It was so loud we couldn’t sleep until it stopped; impossible to rest, especially with children.
Pool, Sun Loungers & Facilities — Unsafe, unmanaged, unpleasant
• Sun beds completely unmanaged — guests reserve them with towels the night before, staff do nothing. You will NOT get a sun lounger.
• Pool is disgusting — too deep for kids, and every swim left hair tangled around your fingers.
• Slides are okay but only open 4 hours a day. Rude guests cut in line constantly — staff did nothing.
• Advertised Irish bar? Does not exist — false advertising.
• Private beach is terrible — food & drink there is somehow worse than the hotel, which is saying something.
Staff, Attitude & Discrimination — Deeply unpleasant, racist vibe Staff were useless — constantly claimed they didn’t understand English even when they clearly did, so complaints went nowhere. There was a strong, clear racist and discriminatory attitude toward anyone speaking with an English accent — regardless of skin colour or religion. The atmosphere shifted the moment you spoke, and you were treated like a second‑class citizen. Unwelcome and unsafe the whole time.
Room & Location — Dull, isolated, trapping Rooms are okay — that’s the only positive. Otherwise it’s a dull, depressing hotel baking in direct sunlight with nowhere to sit. There is nothing outside the hotel — no beaches to walk to, nothing in the area at all. You feel completely trapped.
For Families & Vulnerable Guests — Dangerous and neglectful This place is not suitable for children or anyone with disabilities. We saw multiple children taken away in ambulances with stomach aches and sickness — and they left my Type 1 diabetic child and myself hungry for 6 whole days. They do not care about dietary, medical, or accessibility needs at all.
The Transfer — Inhumane conditions that endangered my child When we finally had to move hotels to escape it, we paid €100 out of our own pocket for the transfer — and it was disgraceful. No air conditioning, windows locked shut — in 38°C heat. It was unbearable. The heat spike sent my Type 1 child’s blood sugar to dangerous levels, and every single one of us suffered severe, throbbing headaches that lasted 24 hours. It was inhumane and completely unnecessary — a risk to a medically vulnerable child that never should have happened.
Holiday Provider Response — Unhelpful after the fact When we contacted OnTheBeach, their response was to tell us we should have complained to the hotel — even though we did exactly that, repeatedly, and staff either ignored us or pretended not to understand English. They wouldn’t help, wouldn’t offer a refund, and just passed the buck — even after we’d been forced to move hotels at our own expense with a disabled child. They expected us to get help from the very people who were ignoring us in the first place. Final Verdict
Worst hotel experience of our lives — on the planet. Hungry, sleep‑deprived, discriminated against, trapped, and then put in physical danger during the transfer we had to pay for ourselves. My Type 1 child was left hungry for days then endangered in sweltering, locked‑in transport. Please — for your own safety, especially with children or anyone with health needs — stay far, FAR away.
