If you are considering booking this hotel, please think twice. In my opinion, it was a complete waste of money.

My family and I stayed here from August 9–16 and had a total of 3 rooms. Unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing.

The first room they gave us was an accessible/disabled room. If you don’t speak up and complain, you may end up spending your entire vacation in that room. The hallways also had AC ‘s that were not working.

The bathroom was another serious problem. After taking a shower, you have to be extremely careful because the water comes out onto the bathroom floor. The floor becomes very slippery, and there is a real risk of falling and hitting your head.

One of our families checked out on August 15, while the other two families had flights at 3 AM. We simply asked if we could wait in the hotel lobby until it was time to leave. Customer service was basically ZERO. We were told that if we left the hotel, they would not allow us to come back at 3 AM to pick up our luggage/family members. Apparently, this is their “rule.”

Even worse, according to what we were told, if a friend or family member comes to the hotel to visit you or pick you up, they may not be allowed inside. This felt extremely disrespectful and unwelcoming.

The rooms are very old and clearly need renovation. And when it comes to the food, be careful. After eating here, make sure you have stomach medicine with you — you may need it.

Overall, very poor customer service, old rooms, uncomfortable conditions, and rules that made our stay even more frustrating.

I would NOT recommend this hotel. If you are planning your vacation and considering this property, THINK TWICE BEFORE YOU BOOK.

Positives. Great pools, lovely beach and very clean. Staff were incredible. Very close to old town Side and you can catch a bus outside the hotel so great location. Food court next to the pools were great. Day time entertainment is also good but difficult to understand due to language barriers. Beautiful Pier with bar. Water sports are good and not badly priced. Plenty of bars and cocktails are nice . Waffles and churros were amazing but they stop serving at 3 pm. Evening entertainment is ok but not the best we have experienced in other 5 star hotels. Mini bar in room topped up daily.

Negatives. Food in the main buffet is very hectic and very repetitive but it does taste nice. We expected a bit more choice from a 5 star hotel. Breakfast is disappointing. À la Carte restaurants not the best. There are day time pastries in the coffee shop but a lot of the cakes were the same as the ones you get in the evening buffet. Rooms need a refurb they are very dated but are very clean. The pier bar closes early apart from one night when they had a disco it would have been nice to have the bar open every evening ( the pier is beautiful at night ) We had to pay for bowling and to play pool which is expensive a lot of 5 star hotels this would be free. We wasn’t impressed to see a life guard at the pool drinking beer whist on duty. This is not a good look especially with young children in the pool. If you hate smokers then definitely do not stay here we left an evening show early due to smokers. Overall and despite our negatives we did have a lovely stay. This isn’t an awful hotel it just needs to make some improvements. This hotel is not catered for the British so if you are expecting that, then this will not be the hotel for you. The hotel is not what we would class as 5 star more 4 star but definitely has the potential to be much better.
