Side Star Elegance was opened in 1987. It was the first five star hotel in the area of Side. Since the opening of the hotel in 1987, it has occupied a good position in the tourism industry. Hotel is veery Nice, cleaning perfect. Food and drinks are perfect, i love this place
The hotel is lovely, clean and the staff are all wonderful. BUT we found the Side Star Resort better. This hotel is just too big, could never just pop back to the room as just too far, I could never go back on my own as I could never find it! Millions of steps, in a lift across to another lift before you get to your block. All the guests seem to be German and the food is catered for them. Same food every night with just different flavouring. 90% of the guests are in the much older bracket, so definitely not a young person or family hotel. Walk into Side is about 30 mins, nice stroll along the promenade. Entertainment is awful! Actually became funny how bad it was. The staff are wonderful and remember what drinks you like at mealtimes. We preferred Side Star Resort, which is a mix of guests, smaller, and better entertainment.
Great stay, amazing staff, could be improved in areas.
We found this hotel 4 years ago by walking along the promenade as we used to stay in one not far away so we knew the area. It’s set on a beautiful part of the med with a walkway between the hotels and the sea. This hotel is set on a hill so lots of steps but plenty of lifts including a small funicular railway if you can’t manage the steps. It has a great choice of bars and a 24 hour one which does proper late food if you have a later flight. Very welcoming. The bar is run by an amazing chap called Atakan and he whizzes round doing cocktails & drinks at a hell of a speed. He’s very impressive. The drinks are free flowing including premium spirits. There is table service for drinks too which is great. Theres a good choice of à la cartes (you get 3 per week) but you have to get to the customer services early to get booked in. There is also an alley of food shacks with gorgeous baked potatoes and pizzas. There is also great choice of fresh salads every day in all restaurants. The entertainment team are really great fun. All the usual activities which they sort with a friendly smile. There’s a good selection of rooms. We have upgraded to a family room and it’s a great size with sea views. Highly recommend this place.
Just got back as a family of 11 with 3 under 2s hotel is amazing staff fabulous food gorgeous drinks fabulous lovely stroll on beachfront to side old town beach lovely now my let down entertainment very poor and kids activity very poor thus is more an adults hotel with kids as an afterthought really enjoyed my 10 days but wouldn't go back as a family holiday
