Sayanora Hotel and Park

Location was ok. Full of German people. Pool was ok. Reception staff weren't very helpful when we requested another room. The room we got was a far cry from the rooms shown on the website. Bedding was dirty we had bugs on the bed ants aswell. The shower didn't work properly there was a smell in the room. Worst holiday ever food wasn't good either we certainly won't be going back and won't be using On The Beach again.

We had a wonderful stay at the Sayanora Hotel in Side, Turkey. From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always willing to help with any requests. Ali the night manager even ordered us pizzas as we arrived at 2am tired & hungry.

The hotel was clean and tidy, with comfortable rooms that were cleaned daily throughout our stay. The swimming pool areas were excellent, both offering plenty of sunbeds with the main pool offering a relaxing atmosphere and the smaller pool more suited to families. The hotel location is perfect, with easy access to the beach, local shops, restaurants, and the beautiful historic centre of Side.

The food was varied, fresh, and tasty, with something to suit everyone. We particularly enjoyed the Turkish dishes (especially the wonderful deserts) and the excellent service from the restaurant staff.

What really made our holiday special was the warm and friendly atmosphere created by the hotel team. Their attention to detail and genuine hospitality made us feel at home from start to finish.

One thing we noticed was that the majority of guests seemed to be from various European countries, with very few English guests during our stay. This wasn't an issue, but it did give the hotel a different atmosphere compared to some resorts that cater more heavily to the UK market."

Overall, Sayanora Hotel offers fantastic value for money, a great location, and excellent service. We would recommend it to anyone visiting Side and would happily stay there again.

I booked a two bedroom family room for myself and two daughters and had read the reviews about the two different sections of the hotel but didn’t realise what it really meant until we arrived. We were first given a bungalow in the older Park section, which I think is where most of the family rooms are located if you need two separate bedrooms. Unfortunately, these are the older properties which you can see in a lot of the other review photos. Very rundown, broken tiling, poorly finished repairs, uncomfy beds and actually our biggest problem was the inadequate air-conditioning that took a long time to have any effect in the baking hot rooms. We managed two nights and then, to be fair to the hotel management, they moved us into a room in the newer hotel section. I was given a small discount as compensation, but still had to pay for the upgrade which I tried to argue against because in all honesty the Park rooms I would say are pretty much uninhabitable! The new room was just one large room with three single beds, but it was worth it for the more efficient air-conditioning and newer bathroom. The other big gripe is that the hotel does have a private section of beach only about 10 minute walk, but it’s not very big, with a few sun loungers, on our first day they were all taken and sadly access to the sea is blocked by large rocks that you cannot get through other than a small path at one end of the beach section. We only add four days on the beach so I actually chose to pay to have sun loungers on a lovely sandy section of beach which were free if you bought enough food and drink from the restaurant that owned them. So we basically didn’t use the hotel all-inclusive option for lunch. The hotel food was adequate, always with plenty of fresh salad and fruit but a few quirks like a couple of days there were chips available in the buffet for breakfast, but not for dinner!! All things considered I would probably say this is a two star hotel but the incredibly hard-working staff push it up to three.
