It was a nice and clean resort, with lots of live cooking and open restaurants and bars for snacks. I not a lot of activities for families with babies. They have clean pools and beach, but when going into the sea there are sharp stones… I was expecting more grilled meat or no sauce meat during lunches and dinner. The restaurant is small and ends up crowded
The hotel is exceptionally clean, modern, and very welcoming. We're here as a couple for a week-long holiday (Monday to Monday, 29th June - 6th July), and overall we've had a great stay but it is fast becoming busier, noisier and not so good.
Food The main restaurant is very good, with enough variation in the menu each day to keep things interesting. You also get one complimentary meal in two of the à la carte restaurants – you just need to book through the hotel app. We ate at Wabi-Sabi Friday night, which we really enjoyed, and we booked Quentine for Saturday night. There's also a steak restaurant, although this comes at an additional cost.
Entertainment There's entertainment every evening. We particularly enjoyed the live band on Thursday. The circus and dance shows weren't really our thing, but they seemed popular with other guests. All of the bars stay open until midnight, so there's plenty of opportunity to enjoy a drink in different locations. Our favourite place to end the evening was Quentine, right on the beach.
Trips On Thursday we visited Manavgat Market. There's a taxi rank just outside the hotel, and it cost us €15 there and €13 back. The taxi drops you outside a café, and when you're ready to return, the café owner will happily call a taxi for you. We bought a coffee at the cafe and was nice.
Friday we visited Palomaqua Water Park. There are two sessions available: 10:00–12:30 or 14:00–17:00. We chose the afternoon session, and the timings worked perfectly. The water park is exclusively for Paloma hotel guests and is really well maintained. There were plenty of sunbeds available, and it was mainly adults and families with young children, so it never felt overcrowded.
Avoid the High Ropes Course. I build these and train staff on how to use them in the UK and the safety was terrible. Harnesses were not fitted correctly, helmets not on properly. Karabiners left undone, the karabiner that attaches your child is not official or rated for people. The wire holding your child to the course is rusted beyond what is accepted.
Pool The pools are a lovely temperature. On Tuesday 30th June, we had no trouble finding a sunbed at around 9:30am.
Unfortunately, every day since then it's been a completely different story. Unless you're down by around 7:30am, you have no chance of getting a bed. Almost all guests reserve sunbeds with towels early in the morning and then don't return until 10 or 11am. This is something the hotel really needs to address, as it takes away from the holiday experience. We've ended up planning afternoon trips because if you return to the hotel after spending the morning elsewhere, it's impossible to find a sunbed.
Other Things We went parasailing with Yakamoz Water Sports, located directly on the beach. It was great fun and cost €80 for two people for a 7-minute flight. Longer flights (10 or 15 minutes) are also available for an additional cost. They take photos and record drone footage during the experience. We bought two photos for €7 each, while the full photo and video package was €75 if that’s what you want.
The sea is a lovely temperature for swimming, and the beach is supervised by lifeguards with clearly marked swimming areas, so it feels very safe. The shoreline is a little stony, but it's perfectly manageable to walk on barefoot.
We were approached by the hotel photographer early into our trip and on Thursday evening decided to have some photos taken around the gardens and on the beach. As Brits, we weren't overly enthusiastic at first, but it actually turned out ok. We ended up choosing three photos, paid for two, and received one free. The photos were €15 each.
We didn't use the gym, but we did have a look inside. It seemed decent enough, although it mainly consists of weight machines.
There are lots of stray cats around the hotel, but they appear to be very well cared for. Guests give them plenty of attention, and they're regularly fed.
The drinks are generally very good, although the quality can vary slightly depending on who makes them. At every bar you can either order through the app or wait for one of the staff to take your order. This is a really nice touch, especially around the pool, although the table service becomes less frequent as the day gets busier. There are water fridges all around the hotel so you can get a fresh bottle whenever you want.
We were in room 44__ and it’s very close to reception. We had a lovely large balcony to sit on whereas lots of other rooms only had very small terraces, not big enough to sit on. The room was in the shade in the afternoon but didn’t bother us. Cleaners did our room around mid afternoon. The fridge is free and restocked daily.
It’s not a massive issue as we were only in the room for small amounts of time but we could only find CNN news in English on the TV.
Great service and staff - Hanife at the bar and also the entertainment staff.
Had a lovely time in this hotel, staff were fabulous especially Hanife who worked in the pool bar when we were there. Will definitely come again .
The pool service was outstanding, and Murat is the best person in the world! The drinks were absolutely delicious, and the service was of the highest standard, delivered in just a few minutes. Murat deserves a monthly bonus!
