Azure Deluxe - Nashira Resort Hotel

I usually don’t leave reviews, but unfortunately, in this case, I cannot just overlook our experience.

There were some positive aspects. The rooms are decent, and the staff service is generally good — the waiters, cooks, and cleaning staff were friendly and helpful. When it comes to drinks and cocktails, however, the quality at the outdoor bars is quite poor, especially when it comes to alcoholic drinks. If you want a properly made cocktail, the only place to go is the bar inside the hotel.

For children, there is a separate restaurant area where they can watch cartoons while eating, which is actually a very nice idea. The hotel also has a kids’ club where you can leave your child for a while and enjoy some time at the resort.

Unfortunately, the negative aspects were much more serious:

1. A terrible first night because of the generator. During our first night, the hotel generator was running. From our balcony, the noise was over 90–95 decibels, and when I measured it near the generator, it was over 105 decibels. This extremely loud noise lasted from around 2:00 AM until 7:30 AM. We were travelling with our 6-year-old child, so you can imagine what kind of sleepless night we had. This is completely unacceptable for a hotel.
2. A safety issue with the children’s slides. Our child went to use the slides and got a wooden splinter stuck in their skin from the wooden railing while getting ready to go down. The splinter was over 2 cm long. What was even more disappointing was that the incident was not properly reported to management, and no action was taken until we personally raised the issue with management and guest relations. Even the doctor initially refused to provide first aid until we brought the child’s passport and insurance documents. In my opinion, when a child is injured on hotel property, the priority should be immediate medical assistance and ensuring the area is safe.
3. Very limited access to the children’s slides. Children under 10 are only allowed to use the slightly larger slides (the ones bigger than the baby slides) between 4:00 PM and 5:00 PM — just one hour per day. For a family resort, this is a very strange and disappointing restriction.

Unfortunately, this was our first and last stay at this hotel.

The restrictions for children, combined with the safety issues and the way our child’s injury was handled, left us extremely disappointed. If you have a health or safety issue during your stay, it seems that you can end up facing unnecessary complications instead of receiving immediate help.

There are some good things about this hotel, but for us, the negative experiences outweighed them. We would not return and cannot recommend this hotel to families with young children.

Do not attend if you are British.

The staff are so rude cannot speak English. Food is very bland and repetitive we also highlighted concerns whilst at the hotel none of them were taken on board, they did not care. We had concerns about people being ill in the hotel to be told ‘nothing they was aware off and all food is checked’. However we found out through reviews on here that there was families who had caught gastroenteritis whilst at the hotel; therefore that was a lie.

Another review I have read stated that a family was threatened with security so was we!! We felt unsafe and scared by the staff! They are horrible at front desk and I would not recommend any British family to attend it does not make you feel like it is a family orientated resort. Very loud music until early hours of the morning also!

It is very disappointing as the hotel its self is beautifully designed. Very clean and entertainment team are great!
