Great Hotel - will return!
We booked a last-minute holiday at Melissa Gardens, and I don’t usually write reviews, but I felt this hotel deserved one!
From the moment we arrived, the hotel felt very warm and welcoming. The staff were really friendly, the food was amazing, and reception were always incredibly helpful and greeted us with a smile. 😊
The hotel itself was clean and exactly what we expected from a 2-star hotel, so we were very happy with our room. It had everything we needed to enjoy a great holiday.
Yes, there are some extras that you have to pay for, but personally I think this is quite normal for this type of hotel, so I’m not really sure why some people complain about this.
My only recommendation would be for management to look at the way guests are approached about eating at the hotel in the evening. We sometimes felt pressured when walking past the main pool area, as we were regularly asked about eating at the hotel. For some members of our family this became quite stressful, to the point where we sometimes used the back entrance to avoid the conversation.
I completely understand that the hotel wants to promote its food and evening meals, but guests should be able to walk around the hotel without feeling pressured. A more relaxed approach from staff would make the experience much more comfortable and is something I hope the hotel can address.
Would I go back? Absolutely! 😀 The hotel has a really lovely, friendly atmosphere, and I could easily see us returning for two weeks next year.

great hotel and beatiful location
We had a really pleasant stay at Melissa Garden Hotel! The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and very well maintained. The hotel offers great value for money and is not expensive at all considering what it has to offer.
The location is also beautiful. The hotel is surrounded by bazaars, so there are plenty of shops and things to see nearby, and the whole area has a great atmosphere.
The hotel itself is very beautiful and well-designed, and the swimming pools were definitely one of our favorite parts. The staff were also incredibly kind, friendly, and helpful throughout our stay.
Overall, we had a wonderful time at Melissa Garden Hotel and would happily come back again! 😊🌴
Fantastic holiday, fantastic staff
Another fab holiday, was treated just like family. We have returned from a 2 week holiday, we was a group of 10. The staff here are fabulous and go above and beyond to make sure your holiday is the best. Huge shout out to Yaz, Ahmet and Emir, and the rest of the staff. Will definitely be returning!
A hidden gem!
What an amazing gem of a holiday to have found! Amazing value for money.
We went as a family of 5 (2 adults and a 9,7 and 2 year old) and it was the perfect size. The apartments were so spacious and had what we needed. Beds were comfortable, although we hadn't got one for our little one, but staff were more than happy to bring a bed up for us if we needed. The swimming areas were clean, small size but big enough for a good swim and slide was a good bonus. 2 smaller, shallow pools for the babies which was lovely. Sun longer and chairs available, bars available at all times. Great calm atmosphere!
There's Southbeach near by and has a beach bar linked to the Melissa so you can get discounts and sun loungers. And only a short ride away from Old Town which is a must to visit.
The food was delicious! We were half board and the range to choose from was excellent! I highly recommend the steak cooked by Yaz! Wow! And the Kofte Casserole! Drinks always flowing and happy hour cocktails was well appreciated!
All staff were so helpful and friendly. Reception staff provided us with details on buses etc and the cleaner always had a smile on her face. Yaz, Ahmet, Emir and Mustafa are fantastic people! They are attentive to you needs, they always make you feel welcome, remembering all your names and going above and beyond. The entertainment at the hotel including karaoke, foam party, line dancing, belly dancing was so much fun but it was these staff that made it so much fun! I got a tattoo from the shop on site and the tattoo artist and her assistant were just a friendly and professional.
I met so many other holiday makers who have been coming back to Melissa Gardens for years now and I want to do the same!
PLUS the CATS! The fact that every helps to look after the cats is absolutely amazing. I love them.
Thank you Yaz, Ahmet, Emir, Mustafa and the many other bar and reception staff. Hope to see you again another year!
Great Holiday
Just returned from 10 day holiday at Melissa Gardens.
Read the reviews beforehand and expected dated accommodation in respect of rooms and indeed they could use renovation although spacious and adequate.
The reviews also mentioned the level of service given by staff and they are exceptional. They are the difference between an OK holiday and an unforgettable one. Particular mention to Ahmet, Yaz and Amir (apologies for spelling), but others could not do enough for you but unfortunately can't remember all their names.
There are two large pools, one noisy with water slide for kids and another elsewhere in the complex which is much quieter. Adequate supply of sunbeds and no early morning hassle to claim one.
The food is excellent, the menu extensive and reasonably priced and spent all but one evening eating at the hotel rather than outside.
Shops, bars and restaurants just outside and beach 10 to 15 minute walk with free sunbeds, umbrellas and beach bar. was told of another further away accessed by a shuttle provided by hotel but never needed to go there.
Will certainly return, probably next year.
