Crystal Sunset Luxury Resort and Spa

Be no fooled - this is not a 5 star hotel, maybe a 3 star according EU standards. Hotel seems to be built around 2012, as it says on elevators when they were installed - so it's a fairly outdated hotel with a lot of ignored issues.

The staff is greatest! Everyone was helping, welcoming, always ready to help. Many of staff members do not speak English, however it's ok as they really try to help.

We were honestly excited for our family trip from Croatia to Turkey, Turkey is wonderful and everyone there is welcoming - however, the hotel is another story.

The hotel overall requires a lot of renovations and fixes, smells of sewer can be experienced almost in every part of the outside area (bars, pool, lounges...), visible no cleaning rules can be observed daily as the tiles have stains for days in same place from spillage to food or simply traffic.

Hotel has many elevators, however it also has many guests so waiting for an elevator and visiting all floors is a daily activity which you try to avoid.

Having a cocktail was not a problem, slight waiting time which is usual for that in any hotel - however the cocktails were awfully made - unexperienced staff, unknowing normal recipes such as Mojito or Pina Colada... For example, making a mojito with lemon instead of limeta, no suggar and using vodka... Pina Colada is made with fresh milk...

Food court is basic, after 8 nights of staying there we were honestly excited to get out to eat something different and well made.

The best drinks in the hotel were Ice Tea, Apple Juice, Beer. :) Everything else was... well, try it and let me know - we were unable to drink it.

Food for breakfast is almost the same every day, minor differences. Launch is rich but again, the same... Dinner was actually always different and enjoyable...

We have tried 2 Al a carte restaurants, nothing worth giving time into.. the food quantity there is pretending to be Michelin restaurant, while the food quality is local gas station.

The bus that drives to the beach is excellent and really fast and doing it's job, drives more often than promoted. Beach is wonderful and clean, water is shallow but clean.

Hotel staff is always trying to offer you extra services such as photographs on the beach, photograph with parrots, playing arcade games for kids... those are more expensive than usual, however if you don't accept they don't force you into it. That's fair.

The room AC was perfect and really functioning, the loud night music is too loud and it lasts until 1AM daily - we were located far away from the music area and we could hear it like it's right next to us, if you open the balcony door it's like we're in disco at the bar.

If your English don’t bother coming here We returned to this hotel for the second year because we loved it so much last time! UNFORTUNATELY this time was not like the first. Firstly 4 emails ahead of our trip and no reply when asking on arrival if they had received are requests they hadn’t got a clue what we were on about.

HUGE communication block if you are English and staff actually come across really rude even the ones with good English . Breakfast.. me and my partner had just finished our gym session to get breakfast there is a no bikini rule which I totally understand . A memeber of staff came up and asked me to leave the food court because I was in a sports bra which covered down to my belly but the other 5 Turkish girls in skimpy bikinis didn’t get anything said to them or ask to leave could happily eat their breakfast I suffer with an eating disorder so this threw me off and put me in a really negative mental state towards getting food even after complaining to guest relations they tried telling me that there was “no” other girls in bikinis in there again very Rudely .

ADULT POOL - if you can call in that.. again if your English don’t bother asking the lifeguards ( the man with blonde highlighted hair SO SO SO RUDE ) to help saying he can’t do anything about it. Kids will be in and out of it splashing … the only person I saw actually telling children to leave was a security guard which was a hand full of times untill the end of our holiday where they put a security guard there most the time but even then kids where still in and you

Adult bar- good luck getting served if your a man the bar tender would let girls push in front and pull girls in front of an already 15 min Que. this was proved when me and my partner went up together and I was pulled to the front to get a drink his attitude soon changed and felt very nasty when I asked for two drinks and my partner joined me from the middle of the Que

Mini fridge - we were having to ring every day to just get basic water in the room even though it’s advertised as your mini bar will be restocked every day.

24 hour restaurant- half hour wait to even be served when the restaurant only had about 5/6 people in. They knew we was there as they kept looking at us we even tried to put our hand up to be served this happened every time we used the restaurant.

The cleaning.. at first we tried to have some banter with the cleaner and make some towel animals at first we left tips around 200 liar there was one day we didn’t have have cash left, apart from a couple of coins probably around €5… we just left it on the side next to my makeup( it wasn’t in the place we left tips previously ) we came back to a room that hadn’t been cleaned and the change all missing ..

All in all won’t be returning to this hotel which is such a shame as we loved it so much last time and let face it it’s not a cheap hotel . We have left feeling very disappointed and discriminated against just because we are English I’ve read a few reviews from English people saying the same. Don’t advertise as an international hotel if you don’t like people from certain country’s.
