This was our tenth trip to Turkey. We had our favorite hotel in Turkey, but this one surpasses them all. The hotel is of a very high standard. The service is perfect. The food is excellent. You won't be bored, the attractions are 10/10. The hotel is in a very good location. A big plus is that it cares about ecology.
Reposting review now that I'm home, wanted to add some more detail and photos.
The staff at this hotel are so accommodating. I've never experienced customer service on this level.
Special thank you to Arslan for the best morning and lunch service. He was incredibly accommodating, going the extra mile every day. Remembering our drink orders and being exceptional attentive.
Thank you to Aleska for being so kind, teaching me darts and dancing, she also has crazy impressive language skills. She was a way of making everyone she interacts with special. I'm never played darts before but her dart sessions and the people that joined them quickly became a highlight.
Feyzunar for repeatedly checking on me when I was sad, completely unrelated to the holiday. It could have easily come across as though the issue was due to my partner (which it 100% wasn't I have the best fiancé!). She found chances to check in when I was alone. It was a situation where she may have potentially put herself at risk to ensure I was safe.
Özgür for the excellent cooking lesson and Tatyana for translating to english and russian during the lesson. My fiancé really bonded with the chef, (he's also a chef). Özgür made a point of greeting us every time he saw us after that.
Çağdaş for excellent lessons on archery and air rifle, I still suck at both one week in but that's on me not him.
Finally Munever for making my other half iced coffee with no sugar that's safe for him to drink (hes diabetic) and Ali for getting me desert after dinner service had finished.
I'm sure they'll be more names to add before we leave and I'll update this when we leave!
Hotel is spotlessly clean, air conditioning works beautifully everywhere, WiFi works everywhere in the hotel, food is delicious, beds are comfy (there's even a pillow menu for extra pillows!) There are lots of cats on site too, super friendly and they're well cared for.
Would recommend to anyone.
Myself and my partner visited Commodore at the end of July into August for our annual summer holiday for a reset from our working life and the holiday delivered just that.
The hotel was presented beautifully throughout with a special mention to the cleaning staff who left dove towels or even my partners PJs in a nice design for when we returned to the hotel. Also a huge shoutout to the team delivering on decorating for the themed food nights as the amount of effort put in was clear to see and offered a variety of foods which made each buffet meal different.
We were fortunate to stay in one of the hotels swim up rooms which gave our stay that extra bit of luxury but also allowed us freedom to have a dip into a more private pool later on in the day which was perfect before getting ready for the evening. One bit of criticism on the rooms is that unfortunately the bed was made up of two singles pushed together so would have just been nice to have a double bed in the room to add to the luxury.
Speaking of staff, I had two favourites who deserve a shoutout - Cagdas and Ozzy from the animation team. Both of them added that bit of fun into the holiday which was nice, especially being a younger couple, and the activities such as darts and air rifle allowed us to spend our time a bit differently each day. Big shoutout to Cagdas for getting me out my comfort zone and getting me to sing during karaoke, it was a great laugh and memory. The lunch staff were also great and looked after us to ensure the midday snack was always different and provided some time to get some shade and the evening bar team during the entertainment kept on top of service which allowed me to enjoy some alcohol and maybe a little too much at times :)
Overall a great holiday with memories made and a hotel I would have no problem retuning to!
This hotel is an amazing place to spend an unforgettable vacation and you will definitely want to come back. The animation shows are fantastic, especially the animator Bobby, he's very friendly, funny, always willing to help, very pleasant, communicative, helpful, he's warm-hearted with a sense of humor.
I last visited Commodore five years ago, and I am so happy to see that it is still just as wonderful — especially when it comes to service, food quality and drinks.
The beach is beautiful, and I also appreciated the hotel’s effort to reduce the use of single-use plastic. The restaurant now offers many more vegetarian options, which is a lovely improvement.
A huge thank you to Elena and Tatiana from Guest Relations. They are fantastic: every question or request is handled so easily and quickly, always with a helpful attitude.
Special thanks as well to Mehmet Ali, the Bar Manager, and his entire team. You are true magicians — professional, attentive and always creating a great atmosphere. Thank you for your fantastic work!
A special mention goes to the music: it has changed for the better and is now much more enjoyable to listen to. The morning music at Commodore feels fresh, energetic and uplifting — such a nice way to start the day. Huge compliments to the DJs, Ali Rıza and Göktu, for creating such a great atmosphere throughout the day.
The animation team has grown, and they are doing a fantastic job. Special thanks to Nerdal, the animation manager — he is brilliant, and the stage is clearly his element. You can truly feel his energy and talent there.
One small suggestion for the food: Turkey is famous for its cuisine, especially börek. Unfortunately, the börek at the hotel did not feel traditional or particularly enjoyable. It was more like a dry pastry, with too little cheese and too much hard, dry dough, rather than the delicious layered, cheesy börek one expects in Turkey. I hope this can be improved.
Still, thank you to the whole team for the wonderful atmosphere, energy and hospitality. I hope to be back next year — and I definitely will return.
