Barut Hemera

Stayed here previously in 2024 and were very impressed. Almost 6-7 star. Everything really excellent, room staff, food, entertainment, beach, location. Even better on this second visit. Will return!!!

We’ve just got back from a week here with a large family group, including four children under the age of seven.

We had a great time! The hotel is brilliant – there’s so much to do, it’s spotlessly clean, the rooms are lovely (although maybe a little on the small side), and the service is spectacular. A special shoutout to Baruk in the seafood restaurant and the team in the lobby bar in the evenings, who kept the drinks flowing and even started remembering our orders!

My only slight disappointment was the buffet food. It was pretty much the same every day, and while the salad bar was excellent, the rest was a little bland and a bit of a letdown. My tip would be to have lunch at the beach snack bar instead, as we found the food there much nicer.

Definitely book the seafood restaurant and the Italian during your stay. And if you plan on spending time in the sea, bring sea shoes as it’s quite rocky underfoot. If you’re pool people, keep in mind that it can get pretty busy during peak season and everyone seems to have a large float with them so it’s pretty cramped!

Overall, we had a fantastic holiday!

Wow what can I say, what an absolutely incredible hotel. The warm arrival we received was outstanding, we were immediately welcomed from our transfer with our luggage taken inside, the wonderful young turkish girl working in the lobby took us straight to the comfortable sofa area and asked us for a much needed ice cold drink. We relaxed whilst check in was being taken care of, and even the forms to fill out were bought over to us in our own comfort. The rooms are stunning, clean, large and modern interior. Thank you to the cleaners who did an amazing job everyday making it spotless. Travelling with our 2 and 5 year old kids, the hotel was fantastic and had everything we could have asked for, water slides, splash park, playgrounds and a kids club where all the ladies are so friendly and welcoming. The kids absolutely loved the trampolines and soft play area, and also the role play area inside to cool down, alongside the kids club activities. The table service to the sunbeds via qr code, wow this was an added luxury that we really enjoyed. Thank you to the young waiter on rollerblades, I didnt catch his name but he was excellent at his job and friendly too. The cocktails were amazingly good, fresh and good quality with plenty of choice. We loved drinking at the pool bar in the early evening before heading to dinner. There was absolutely loads to choose from in the buffet restaurant to cater for all tastes! We were really impressed with the kids corner buffet, there was also pasta, fries and fruit available for my fussy eating kids. Our favourite dining was lunch in Olive, evening meal in the Turkish restaurant and the sushi restaurant was worth the extra cost! The tapas style starters in the turkish restaurant with the balloon bread were divine and wow what an experience!! Especially how they were all bought out straight away, the attentive service here was exceptional. Another favourite of ours was the Patisserie, chocolates, macaroons, cakes, you name it! And wow the mango mouse and fruit tart were amazing!! My kids loved a daily ice cream or 2 from here, the staff were very attentive and served us straight away. ALL the staff in the hotel have been friendly, warm and accommodating and I thank the waiters and the chefs in the a la carte restaurants for catering for my children's requirements (making plain pasta or sushi, or plain fries!!) ... this was massively appreciated. I do want to give a special thanks to Kimza (mystery) and Iren in the pool bar who served us our drinks, they made us feel so relaxed and welcome when they served us, it felt like being with our own family, thank you ladies :) and also a special thanks to Recep in Olive, he was so courteous and attentive at making sure we were all happy and having a good time, him and my husband shared a love for hot sauce so he every kindly got him some and let him keep the bottle for the rest of his food! Recep is an asset to his service and the hotel. The evening entertainment here was also fantastic and the whole family enjoyed different shows here. The hotel grounds here are absolutely stunning, the huge banana leaves and the leafy luscious greenery all around make this hotel special. Thanks to all the gardeners here who keep the hotel looking its best. The finer details make this hotel special, the beach bag ready in your room with pool towels, the reusable water bottles (this was fantastic) the drink service upon check in, the free dining in the a la cartes, the qr code drinks ordering. I do want to thank each and every member of staff, and there is ALOT here working very hard to give you an incredible and luxury holiday feel. Expecially thanks to those behind the scenes, the chefs, cleaners, gardeners, the guys working on the beach to keep it clean and serve, the reception staff, the waiting staff. Great service will truly make your holiday enjoyable and comfortable and I applaud the hotel for doing this, we will recommend to everybody, we don't usually come back to hotels and we like to try different countries and cities however if we come back to Side we wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.
